It's been a min but I'm back what's up with you blak (I changed my name since we last spoke) I like the track but the tag really don't do it justice. Did you get the feature verse filled in yet?
You know what, I actually used an older verse but, I modified it to fit this beat. Of course there is always room if you would like to drop something. Hit me at turfgoldmusic@gmail.com and I'll get it to you.
AS a rapper that likes to switch flows I have to say i like how he dropped it. The fact you were able to make a beat for it says one thing but you created a solid sound that can stand alone with out the lyrics(the solo made me want to start dropping bars). I like how you mixed it and the whole song is nice.
Thanks man, i appreciate the listen and kind words. The vocals from thenapoleancomplex are amazing and really picked the track up. I'll keep an eye out for your work, i like what i've heard so far and you have a good attitude to keep improving
How long have you been doing this because your a pro. Love it, not only do you have talent at such a high level with this but you art is wonderful. May i ask whats next on your list world domination ? :)
Thanks for listening, I know what you mean as regards the warm ear feeling. How did you come across this track - just by randomly browsing the blues section?
There's no real mastering on this or pretty much any of my tracks - something I really should get round to learning. I don't even EQ or compress the separate channels, just process the sounds a bit and, obviously, automate their volumes.
I see from your page that you like hip hop so would suggest that you check out my recent 'psychedelic grungehop' epic called The Bigger The Fatter The Better. It's got some good response from people but I'd be interested to hear what people particularly into hip hop make of it.
Wow its perfect i'll just be adding this to my fav's and probably will wake up to this for some time(and school coming up i'm going to need this motivation).
Hehe, yeah I put all my tracks together by ear (which probably takes 10 times longer and is a thousand times more frustrating) but it works for me because most of the tunes I make I use in dance classes, so if I can 'feel' that the rhythm is even then I'm happy! lol. It's mostly trial and error, but it's pretty satisfying when I get it right.
The string instrument is an Oud, but the loop itself it not mine, it came from here on looperman. I foolishly re-named it so I could find it again after the download and now I am trying to hunt down the person that created the original Oud track so I can give them a shout out. I'll post their username once I find it.
An Oud is kind of like an old fashioned 'lute'. It's the Middle Eastern 'guitar' in the minds of a lot of belly dancers. Really beautiful sound. I'm looking for loops of the Middle Eastern Rabab too, if anyone has any leads...
"dominate the landscape/eliminate my obstacle" some one explain to me why that was so sick. Plus how the instrumental builds was too nice the guitar was perfect.
Nice... Thanks Silver5!! We really appreciate the listen and great review. Imma gonna swing by and hit up your list in a bit see what kinda beats you got hiding out. Def check Ben Evolent and Heisenberg out too. Both got sick beats and talent...
