DAYUMMMM! This is what's UP!!!!! The intro is off the hook crazy good...y'all must have been channeling Al Jereau fo'real. Patricia that's a very sweet spot when you're at "..can't be your girl." Job well done, to the both of you!!!
It seems over the last week I am making more new connections than I have in the past here at Looperman. I am sure I would have eventually "discovered" your work, but luckily since you stopped by my page, that "some point" is now.
I have listened to your entire Loooperman library. Your artistry is extremely impressive including your very clever song titles and creative back stories. It is very rare that after listening to one or two tracks on someone's page that I am intrigued enough to want to listen to the entire lot. It was more like taking an exciting journey than it was listening to a collection of tracks. I have faved some that REALLY spoke to me including "Anything You Want" for which I am itching to create some vocals.
dude thank you so much for those kinds words. i got your track list bookmarked for this weekend. i think listening to new music is done best in the early hours when the sky starts to get bright on saturday or sunday (or is it late at night at that point?). thanks again for the comment, and thanks for listening, much appreciated.
Hmmmmmmm....I felt like I was listening to a Mashup rather than a proper song....at times it sounds pop, then cinematic, then possibly a hint of R&B. You might want to rethink where you are trying to go with the tune, and maybe you will be able to strip away the parts that are not in synch with your intention. So, basically I suppose what I'm saying is I don't hear any cohesion. Also, the vocals are not in the same key as the instrumental.
I see what you mean. It's not a very good structure for a proper song is it.. To be entirely honest, I did not have any true intentions for this track... I was just experimenting i guess.. And I can see why it sounds like a mashup (it is a mashup). If i take away the current vocal the track sounds retarded. If i leave it in the different keys clash. Cohesion, I'll remember this. As for keys, I most definitely need to do some homework and ear training.
I shall not stop at this though. May I ask some of the things you consider, in terms of structure, when writing a song?
Thank you my friend i appreciate the good vibes man im ganna keep working on my vox and hopefully evolve my craft from just hip hop artist to singer as well lol
OH MY LORDDDDDDDDD!!!! This is incredible!!!!! It's a TRAVESTY that you don't have a TON of comments. Your voice is so PERFECT for this tune...it's very BONDISH actually....the production is off the hook crazy! i can listen to this ALL DAY...WELL DONE!!!
This is stellar! When it kicks in it's like "HOT DAMN!!!!!" Who knew Dubsteb could ROCK out like this! This is going into top rotation, buddy! Thanks for sharing it!!!!
Wow, thanks a lot man for this uplifting comment!
Much appreciated, Mykael.
If you ever feel like making some tunes together don't hesitate to hit me up anytime, no matter what genre. I do however always appreciate some sort of harmonical progression in a tune :)
All the best!
Perdro! Absolutely GORGEOUS!!! Well done to the both of you. This has actually become one of my encore tunes when I perform live. I actually resisted singing it for the longest time because it is probably one of the most over-performed jazz standards there is. Anyways, out of the hundreds of My Funny Valentine recordings I have heard, yours definitely rank in my top five!
Hiyaz......I've downloaded the track, it's quite beautiful. If you are amenable to it, I'd like to retrofit some lyrics that I wrote some time ago...in your track and my lyrics will make a pretty good fit.
This is some SERIOUS stuff! The subtle guitar is sexy! You know from the very start upon hearing the majestic intro that you're in for a treat. I love the wonder and mysterious quality to this piece, somewhat ethereal in places. Quite beautiful. Well done to the both of you!
I love this groove! When I'm hanging at the lakefront there are certain kinds of music that I love listening to on my ipod, I can see this being one of them....very chill. Thanks for using my vocals. Other than a little tweak perhaps to the mix--well done, you!
Thanks, man, I'm glad you liked it! I might fix the mix later, but I gotta take a break from it for a bit so I could hear all the flaws clearly again :)
