on WHAT ARE YOU HERE FOR by Ibalz
Woah, great sax right away and interesting mixing of sounds. Enjoyed those synths in the background. Using the percussion in very cool way, sticks with you. The key sounds set a thoughtful trip. It was a fun listen and the track accompanies the title with choices to answer. Actually a solid idea. I agree not much to change nonetheless keep at it and thanks for sharing. Peace.

on Knee Deep In The Cosmic Overwhelm by StaticNomad
The refreshed mix is sounding really good. Nice addition to your personal selections of music. Its good to hear this for two reasons, one being its playing some good psyched up grooves with good sound and the other being knee deep in the cosmic space is overwhelmingly interesting A road must travel for me. No problems from this deaf guy. Thanks for sharing, Peace.

"No problems from this deaf guy."

Are you really deaf or just a bit hard of hearing?

Well, if you are deaf, you do a remarkable job at making good music.

Glad you liked my psyched up grooves.

on Nothing Left Of Me ft Tara Toxic by brillbilly
A cool trip in this place. Like the it showed me having nothing left but left the thought of maybe theres more where this road ends. How do you get the synths to sound like that? Something about it gets the listener curious. Thanks for sharing. Did see what you meant about some runner type nice use of the vocal sample. Good ideas Peace.

on baghead by doctorcatface
This place from your track shows me outdside with crows. The mad bass is cool. Some younger days kind of vibe where you thought you knew life something like that. The hiGh end sounds too low still good tho. Thanks for sharing peace
doctorcatface
doctorcatface replied 6th Apr 2014 - 11 years ago
yeah, its sparked by a mournful nostalgia, a fervent desire to resee, but that triple tap is the crows rising off the powerlines in unison, hearing the mess below, they ascend to travel on to peaceful ground, you have an intuitive ear good sir

on Baghead Ft doctorcatface by Spivkurl
Took a listen to the original version of this track with mad heavy bass. Then yours and noticed you brought out the hiGh end and controlled the bass it seems where I can crank the vol and get that madman bass back cool. The vocals are a trip man ha. What is that effect your using? Both cool ideas, thanks for sharing. Peace

Thanks for stopping by to listen, I'm glad you also listened to the original! I definitely have a different mixing style compared to doctorcatface, but I think we complimented eachother. They should be a trip, as it's definitely a drug song now. On the verses I used autotune, distortion, parametric EQ, and multiband compression, and on the choruses I used autotune, EQ, chorus, and delay. I might have done a reverb send for them too, don't remember. Thanks again for listening!

Good choices of samples, hearing a message clear. Some ancient music it sounds like dark times still those the battle the digitals. Mystery box type of track for some games. Liked it, thanks for sharing Peace

on Talk To Me aka Duet Triste by Orlando51
Actually it does fit for ambient in my opinion. The way you are using the strings add a conversation with the space of that pad of timeless time. Each instrument of the layering order working great for this idea and I like it. I wonder what you would add next after what is playing so far, something new for me and thank you for allowing us to take a listen. It is sad but graceful. You have some outstanding ideas. Peace.
Orlando51
Orlando51 replied 22nd Jan 2014 - 12 years ago
Honestly, I had doubts about category on this one. I would simply put "instrumental" if available, but "ambient" is justified enough in my opinion (yours also). Initialy I had a bit different plan in mind for this one, but along the way it took a bit more focused route, so it turned out as it is now. I was about to use more electric instruments in the arrangement which is temporarily left off, but another version I plan might be a more balanced electroacustic mixture. We will see. Otherwise, big thank you on your positive comment. Cheers___Orlando

on Lovestruck Heartbroken by jcreaz
Some parts of the instrumental works together really well. I like the piano loop you chose goes also nice with that guitar sound. Trippin on that lead synth, twisted how you faded that one was nice. Good idea bringing the chill pace back. What were those vocal clips saying? Keep at it, Peace
jcreaz
jcreaz replied 21st Jan 2014 - 12 years ago
The vocals are from Ayden, on this site... a acapella clip from She loves me, she loves me not.... i intentionally have it kind of like barely audible in the background like a lovesick person going on about there feelings... LOL

on Chillin by sabo
What you have so far is an interesting ground that I hear parts added in here and there just to refresh it up a bit while keeping the free style of form. Like the keys played here, the bass is not bad but sounds like something in between missing. Nice touch with that laughing sfx. The drums do seem like if the kick had a lil more low end might balance with the keys a lil better (just a personal opinion based off what others have said in a similar sound of drum kit I have used in the past. What is here I get the main point and did like the idea. Keep working at it could be something really good. Peace.

Thanks very much I'm glad you could imagine to it. I tried to convey a imaginative story without too much distinct action so that the listeners could imagine their own little scenes in the track. I'm glad that it's imaginative. Thanks for the feedback :)

on 28 Levels Above Top Secret by StaticNomad
Not weird at all, this is actually quite good and fun. Was a chilled out moment for my listen and got me thinking of the life that surrounds us all. Liked everything about it and how you built the mix. The complex mix does not sound complex to me for some reason, its a straight to the point message for this listener with cool colors of thoughts that point the way. For improvements I have nothing to say because I thought as is has a good flow and sound. Good job. Thanks for sharing with us. Any ideas about releasing that album? Have a good 1, Peace.
StaticNomad
StaticNomad replied 15th Jan 2014 - 12 years ago
Hi. Glad you found it fun. The 'weird' description was just one of many adjectives that pop into my mind when thinking about it. Check the very trippy, psychedelic lead, heavily delayed guitar around 2 mins. That's one bit I thought was weird, but fun.

If the mix doesn't sound complex, I guess I must have separated everything out neatly. I assure you it was complex to do, though not necessarily much more than in most of my tracks. Some I find more difficult than others. This wasn't so difficult but still a hell of a lot of work.

See here for the full version:

http://www.mixposure.com/sounds-of-an-unsound-mind/audio/12019/28-levels-above-top-secret

It's well worth checking as there's some mega chill in the last minute or so. Big comedown but still very funky bass in there.

I've been working on about 8 albums for the last couple of years. A few are pretty much ready to go except for mastering and artwork. This track will be on the first release, along with the following tracks that are already on this site: Right Place, Wrong Century, Into The Out There, Three Miles Late and Shapesmith. So, about 65 minutes running time, for 5 tracks.

Don't know when I'll get round to releasing it. Not sure if I should pay someone to master my stuff or my mastering is pretty much good enough (probably not). Want to do it all myself but, if I'm going to release stuff that people can own forever, I need it to be as good as it can be and the best listen possible.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Nice idea NFM, cool refreshing type of reggae. Effective use of choppin the pella. Really interested by the guitar here. Speaking about a lot making a point. Very chill slowed down like this goes good for my view of a frozen morning after getting messed up the night before. Keep at it! Thanks for sharing. Peace.

super chill with the guitar and loops working good together. Fitting music to the scene thats there. Liked how this is sounding overall so far good job, thanks for sharing and keep it going. Peace.

Does fit the imagination of a battle. Many battles at that. Nice voices applied, telling a great story. A sense of drained energy, in that valley of death facing towards a scale. The strings bring the thought of making a decision to balance or tip that scale. After hearing this I can see the events of that decision being a difficult choice but in the end still a choice. Simple as yes or no when confusion no longer has a reason to stay. The percussion is very nice, helped bring to idea to the front line. Your cinematic tracks do have a good view. Keep at it and thank you for sharing. Peace.

Thanks to you for listening :)
When I finished the song I only thought of an unique cry:

"There's no place for fear.
Doubt cannot reach our hearts.
Courage. Honor.
This is the last battle.
Glory or Death!
Toward the Valley of Death we ride!"

Thanks again for listening and comment! :D

on Funky Mountian LMS ReMix by LMS3010
Like the open space not boxing the listen in. Definitely reaching for higher grounds in an endless fall it seems. The vocal pieces in this track really set the feel for the ambient like instrumental which is very nice. The tripped out vocals around 330 gave a cool different edge to the overall sound. Kind of similar to Gorillaz that it makes me think to. Seeing but not really seeing. Blind perception kind of feel. Keep up the interesting ideas, thanks for sharing with us. Peace.

on Gangsta Collaboration Song by ConstantGodRap
I could say I use to have a similar view of the message here. Sounds like a reflective view outside oneself. The circling faces, the view of poor choices, and a truth that is only half of what it seems. Your delivery made the words step into the light and shared a positive view for me even though it seems it wouldnt be otherwise. Keep at it and thanks for sharing with us. Peace.

Nothing to lose.. Message heard and on point. Your flow grabs attention and I hear you man. It is cold outside but sometimes the lie is what will keep you alive. Depends on how convincing the lie will be for the one living it. Stating the negatives in your style of delivery is actually a positive push forward to those that allow the choice. Thanks for sharing, good start. Peace.

on D No 2 - Strange Case In Lucerne by gomagn
Strange but effective build. Sounds que in appropiate times. Good constant evolving pad. 1st track of the day that really sinks in to my wondering. The listen is pleasantly speaking of beautiful sorrow in angst. Pressure translated in good vibrations of boiling viens. The choir is heavenly, silently placed which fills the heart with strength. Thank you for sharing this capture with us, I like how you speak here. Peace.

on Natural by srbrown7
Nice natural vibrations. It adds well to the view I am seeing. The changing from day to night. I can see the sky a cool blue whispers of the wind passing by sun falling asleep. There is a good vibe this shares, very chill track. What I did like the most is the changing sections that paints one full picture. What was on your mind with this expression. Conversating 5 minutes, seems like it went too fast. Natural is a good way to tag this. Thanks for sharing. Peace.
