Damn dude, not sure why this isn't getting more play and comments. Really current sound, a mixture of electronic music and a bit of dub (hell I don't know because I'm old, but I think that's what it sounds like).
Here's the deal though, you've got solid vocal skills, really good compositional skills, and the mix is fairly tight as well. I've heard a lot of music like this in Las Vegas in the clubs, so all I can tell you is keep at it. I think you've probably got the goods to move to another level.
I enjoyed this, and hopefully others on here will discover your talents as well. Nicely done. I hope all is well.
Oh my Charlene, this is fantastic!!!!! You really have mad vocal skills, such a great smooth buttery tone to your voice. This is absolutely radio ready.....as good as anything I've heard in a long, long time. Stunning harmonies. I'm running out of adjectives, haha.
Beautiful lyrics. I downloaded this one (thank you so much for that) and my wife and I will enjoy it as we travel back and forth to Las Vegas).
You are a special talent. Keep at this. Someday, someone will discover you and help you get to that next level. And I will be there with the bus to drive you around. I hope all is well.
Hola! Awesome hearing from you again! Ha, if I ever get "discovered" you will be one of the people I thank in my award acceptance speech..(jk jk), but really though, when I first started playing around with making tracks etc I came across your loops first mainly and fed off that and it really got me going, so I have you to thank for that! Hope all is well with you and again I am uber excited that you like it :)
-Charlene
Really nice use of minor chords with just the right amount of dissonance...gives it a dark, moody melancholy feel. Nice crisp mix and to my ancient ears, it seems to have a great deal of space and texture as well. Good dynamics with nice percussive elements.
The vox just kicked in, really nice work here. I like the way you give them some room to work, and then bring in that nice bass line.
I'd say you have really good skill sets. I'm no expert on house music, but I do know I liked this one, and in the end, that is all that counts. Well done. This is a great track to use to introduce yourself to the others on this great site. I hope all is well.
Hi, much thanks for the honest review :)
I enjoy your way of describing how the music feels like to you.
No expert in house music, you say? Me neither, I just do whatever feels right and call it house or deep house or techno.
Yeah, I've been desperate for some usable deep housish voice samples and this one seemed just fine. I had to cut it up though because it wouldn't quite fit in with the track.
Well thanks but it's mostly my creativity that gets the job done. My production skills are rather petite. I know the basics like use of the right fx, reverb, automation, mix and master (again whatever feels/sounds right is the way to go for me there).
Seriously the trick is to just correct yourself until you're 100% happy with the outcome. Allow yourself to start all over again when you realize you went down the wrong way. This track has went through all kinds of genres, BPM changes and so on before it became what it is now.
Well, you certainly did take that snippet to the next level. I really like the unplugged nature of this. You have some nice harmony vocals in this as well. I liked the way that you used tempo and silence (a powerful tool in a song) to set up your chorus lines and separate the verses all while using the same guitar riff (not an easy thing to do).
So now that you have a good idea of what you want this one to sound like, a little bit of advice. You just need to keep practicing your craft. This is excellent work, and you have a huge upside, you simply need to keep working like you are. Keep thinking about what makes a hit record for guys like Ed Sheeran or Sam Smith. What are they doing that makes songs that they have, that are similar to this one, stand above the others. Maybe think about having a version of this song with added instrumentation....add some drums, and a nice bass line (something like an upright bass would really work well on this). Maybe add some strings in spots, give it a completely different feel. That way you have two versions of a great song. Don't be afraid to experiment and spread your wings a bit. Like I said, you have really good chops, especially for a guy who is only 14. You keep this up and the sky is literally the limit for you.
I enjoyed this one immensely. Keep at this. Study the guys who are successful. Find your lane, and then put the pedal to the metal and don't look back. Well done. I hope all is well.
This! Thanks for all this amazing advice, this is the kind of message that keeps us artists growing and evolving! Your right this was definitely not an easy song to create I Started Writing this last year, started recording in January and only finished it yesterday! It was definitely a struggle but I kept going with it and obviously it paid off. This does no where mean this is the end for this sing, as I will This song will grow with time too. Again, thank you for this!!! It means so much to be appreciated, like this. I will take your advice on board and carry on with this track!
Nice guitar work Evan...as always the bass is really good.
Question - do you mic your bass through an amp and then into the computer, or do you have an interface of some kind that you use to record your bass? I bought a Peavey VYPYR VIP2 so I could use one of their built in bass amp sims to record my bass. I was using a Zoom pedal but just couldn't quite get the sound I wanted with it.
Anyway, I digress (sorry about that) back to your tune.
Nothing to critique here. Guitars sound great (nice palm muting), drums are terrific, and the bass is sensational. A well thought out and well executed track from start to finish. Wish I had something more constructive for you, but all I have is praise. I hope all is well.
"Question - do you mic your bass through an amp and then into the computer, or do you have an interface of some kind that you use to record your bass?"
My bass goes through a Line 6 Bass PodXT Live, a rather big, black and beautiful multi-effects pedal. From there, a wet and a dry are sent to my Presonus AudioBox22VSL interface.
Gotta say, my sound comes from the bass itself, a digital chorus, and the fact that I record everything twice, and pan it. I do not duplicate a mono part and pan them, I record a left, then a right. Together, with a HP filter and some radical panning, I get a really full, swirling type of sound that I really like.
Never used Zoom or Peavey, except my first bass was a Peavey Patriot. Black with one pick-up. Sounded like crap, too. Oh well, I got what I paid for, which was 150 bucks at a pawn shop.
I think you probably are one of the best heavy metal singers on the Loop....seriously, I think if you were in a studio doing your thing you would be surprised at just how good you really are (it's hard to really get a great vocal take while worrying about what the neighbors might think, haha). Still a really good job laying vocals over a great backing track. I needed this one to supplement my caffeine this morning. Thanks for that!
Keep at it, you have skills my friend. I hope all is well.
Hey Bear! Glad to hear from you. Honestly I may be one of the ONLY heavy metal singers on this site, at least for heavy stuff like this, but i still greatly appreciate the praise :) Im glad you really enjoyed it, and im looking to get to a studio sometime. Just...money haha.

How the hell did I miss this one? Senility is a wonderful thing when one finally figures out one is senile, haha.
Stellar work. But that doesn't surprise me as everything you do is top shelf work. I've got no suggestions for you, other than keep putting out your music. This is so damn good. Definitely a great way to start my day Richie. Thanks for always giving us such great songs to drool over. I hope all is well.
TG, this is really nice. I learned a long time ago that the tone and timbre of a guitar lies directly in the hands of the player. It is only when an accomplished artist puts those hands to work that the true nature of the guitar comes out.
Like the others have said, keep that guitar! And keep putting these gems up for the rest of us to listen to and marvel at. Added to favorites, and a huge thank you for another master's class in how to navigate a fret board. I hope all is well.
Most players use a lot of the same sounding gear, kinda hard not
to sound like someone else...
So in fact it's what you are playing, that can give you your story
and lets tell it the way you want sound wise...
The trick is to know how to say, feel and express what you feel
through the guitar or any instrument...
It's easy to play any musical instrument: all you have to do is touch the right place at the right time and the instrument will play itself.

Hey Dave, I haven't been by for a while, so I wandered by to check out what you've been up to, and what do I find?
You've temporarily gone over to the dark side to give the younguns a taste of their own medicine, haha.
Great bass work, but I expect nothing less from you. Extremely solid track from start to finish. I would believe the kids would be coming out of the woodwork to "spit" all over this one. Did I say that the bass work is just so damn good?
Once again you prove that a real musician can do anything, and do it well. 10 out of 10 on this number. Keep bangin' bro.....or whatever they say. I hope all is well.
Hey Bear thanks man!good to see you around buddy......I've always liked HipHop drums, well most bass players like a variety of rhythm styles I guess,I have been guilty of being a little caustic towards the urban crowd in the past so while I'm not going over to the dark side(lol)I will be making an attempt to meet them half way musically and adopt a more positive stance, though I'm just an old dog who is pretending to learn new tricks I still have a thing or two up my sleeve! haha...thanks for your endorsement mate it means a lot to me!..all the best my friend..Dave
It's coffee time Steve, and for me that means finding something a little chilled to start the day off right. And I picked the perfect song to go with my morning cup.
Simply beautiful from the beginning to the end. Another outstanding effort. Outstanding work Steve.
Hey Dan, wonderful work here and it is perfect for the painting. A very evocative piece (and I love the story about Romulus and Remus, one of my favorites from my youth). Nice crisp mix on this one as well. Outstanding effort Dan. I hope all is well.
Really, really nice work. Great use of dynamics throughout the track, loving the build towards the end. I'd say it's the start of something pretty special and I look forward to the completed track.
You have great compositional skill sets and a talent for this type of music. My hat is off to you. Well done. I hope all is well.
I really like the big cinematic feel to this one. It has enough sparseness in the mix to allow for the addition of vocals. There is a dissonance in this one, that really works pretty well (I'm not in love with that guitar riff, but that is personal taste and not a criticism).....not an easy thing to pull off.
Definitely not your "run of the mill" beat and in my humble opinion, that's a good thing. You have to be able to set yourself apart from the competition, and tracks like this one will do that.
Lovely work Norbert. I can see this being used at the end of a film as the closing credits roll on by.....
You are a serious composer with a ton of talent, and I hope that someday you get to score a movie or two. This one is really special, and gives us all a brief glimpse of what you can do.
I really respect what you do and how you do it. Well done! I hope all is well.
Miss Twanna, how are you? I haven't been around much lately, but this morning I saw your featured track and thought I would drop by for a listen while I had a cup of coffee. Boy oh boy, am I glad that I did :)
Simply sensational in every way. Beautiful vocals with a great message, delivered perfectly. Wonderful musical accompaniment - Eric is always a wonderful addition to any song, and the way your weave his golden licks through the song make for a stellar musical tapestry.
Outstanding job (you always set the bar so high and never, ever disappoint) and a definitive add to my favorites. Beautiful!!! I hope all is well.
Bear...please forgive me for not responding back to you sooner. I love to hear from you and I always get a visual of you having your cup of java listening to music. Thank you so much for your very encouraging appreciation and I do miss you on Looperman. You are soooooo talented and add so much to this great community of artists. Please give a big hug to your "sweet one" from me.
EB, this track absolutely made my day.....light, happy feeling to it. You captured the emotions I feel when I am around puppies (all dogs for that matter) as well, haha. I can see this one as a backing track to a great dog commercial.
Wonderful way to start my day. Thanks for putting a smile on my face and warming my heart a bit this morning. Really well done. I hope all is well.
That's one of the best comments I have ever received. I feel my hard work has paid off a little, Really appreciate your kind words and yes, if i get a chance, i'll definitely try to pitch it for any dog commercial that comes across. This comment actually made my day and this time, thank you for putting a smile on my face :)
I grabbed a cup of coffee and now I'm sitting here enjoying a great track by one of Looperman's finest musicians. This is beautiful Danke. It has great space in the mix, almost a 3 dimentional feel to it. Great clarity on all of the instruments as well.
Simply beautiful, calming, and inspirational. I know you have a lot of live gigs coming up, enjoy those and come back soon with more great music after things slow down a bit. One of your best tracks. Thanks for posting and for the download :) I hope all is well.
Thank you dear friend...these calm, chillis tracks are very very close to me at this time...at live, we play loud and after the gigs, it's very good to relax a bit...
Beautiful soundscape in the intro and outro, definitely could work in a film or video game. The section in the middle has such a great driving beat to it. I too think the mix sounds really nice....wide stereo field, with great balance and space for all of the instruments. This was definitely a well thought out piece.
I see you live in Austin. Great town with even better music. You are surrounded by great musicians. I'm assuming this is you on the bass on this one. If so, masterful job. Added to favorites. I hope all is well.
Hey Pat, I needed something more than coffee this morning to get me started after two days of watching basketball, so I dropped by for a bit - you are my substitute for caffeine, haha.
You bend circuits better than anyone I know. Terrific job and a great way to get not only my juices, but my neighbors juices flowing. By the way, I believe the Tetris key is Aminor, so using any white key on the piano is going to put a note from that scale into your music. Nothing but coincidence Pat, nothing more. Hell, Alicia Keys made a whole album out of songs in Aminor, haha. Hope all is well.
Hi my friend! I appreciate your visit today! It's interesting you mention Aminor, as aside from scale calibration and maybe a bent Korg, this was composed in C major, which you I'm sure know uses the exact same notes. That explains the tetris comparison, and probably the slight detuning makes it sound a bit more minor than it should. Happy that you can find a substitute (synergy) for coffee in my music. Sometimes I find it nice to deprive myself of things (like Kramer!) and yesterday I went all day without coffee, by the evening my head was aching and my jaw hurt, so I know how the need for stimulation goes. I think I had heard that Alicia Keys thing before, but had forgotten... it's a humorous play on her name! Thank you very much for listening!
Great vocals along with a great guitar riff. Now that you have this great start, keep working on it to get a complete song. It has a tremendous amount of potential, so keep after it. Add a bass line, drums, figure out a chorus and a bridge. KEEP AT IT!!! Stellar start to this one. I hope all is well.
I second Ed's comments. First welcome to the Loop. Secondly, it is obvious you have a whole bunch of talent. I look forward to hearing many, many more from you. This was a beautiful ride, with wonderful dynamics. It goes great with my cup of morning coffee out on the patio. Stellar first effort, nothing like setting the bar really, really high, haha. Again, beautiful work. Welcome, and I hope all is well.
Hi Bear, Thanks for all the good vibes and nice comments. If you read the reply I gave to AnalogDisc above, you will see why I have taken so long to respond here- unforseen circumstances. Anyway I really appreciate it and I will be adding more stuff soon and look forward to hearing your music.
Alex, it is always a masters class in composition when I drop by your corner of the world. What a great song you have arranged here. Superb jazz/fusion feel. I think that is probably you doing that wonderful work on the keys. Stellar effort.
There is nothing to critique here. Just a beautiful song to enjoy with my coffee this morning. Thanks as always for the inspiration and pure enjoyment that you provide with your music. I hope all is well.
This track is based on the idea that was sent to me by ferryterry earlier, it is actually my 2nd take on this material. I reharmonized it and found vocals that fit as well as other sounds. I had to cut vocal to make it fit in here - the title is from original lyrics (I removed that verse). Yes indeed, I played all keys in here (and violins) - as always.
Thank you for listening to this song and your words, really glad I could provide you some enjoyable moments.
Well, like Ed, I come out of hibernation and discover I missed this jewel of yours. It doesn't matter what genre it is, you can sing it. I could sit and listen to you sing the phone book and be one happy guy :) Kudos to Baggadub as well for his great backing track.
You have some serious talent, and I sincerely hope people are taking advantage of it. I hope all is well in your part of the northeast.
Beautiful work Savino, absolutely stunning. I am amazed that you could take those stems and make something this incredible out of them. It is nothing short of remarkable, absolutely remarkable. What a great way to start off my morning. I have downloaded this one so I have it to enjoy with my coffee on beautiful happy mornings like today.
The build on this is so nice, the mix so spot on. You are a master my friend and I am honored that you were able to get a small bit of inspiration from the stems. Thank you for such a wonderful end result. I hope all is well my friend. I am off to hit play again, and again, and again.

that's always the good stuff when that happens. i mean when nights seem to only last a few minutes, that kind of time dilation.
sorry to you too about the ultra slow response.
first i had to go help serve in the civil protection (instead of military) for a while and then i caught a bone inflammation in my elbow from over-straining it by my own weight as i was sitting at the table. what.. weird stuff, i must have been quite distracted that i didn't realise it sooner. oh well, it's all back to normal one of these days and finally i may also use the computers and keyboards again, so i am excited!
already did a small number this weekend and will upload that in the next few minutes if all goes as planned.
so long man, have a great time and thanks again!
Steve, nicely done! I think it is pretty incredible that you have only been at this since 2011. You have great compositional skills as this tune illustrates. It is hip hop as it should be served, fresh, haha.
Outstanding effort from the start to the finish. Terrific use of the vocals throughout. This one could be playing on the radio. Well done. I hope all is well with you and your family.
