This is pretty insane and a really good listen. I love the track description...it really adds to the experience. Your mix is outstanding. The only flaw I heard in the entire thing is a little click that comes in with the bass at the 1:03 mark, and then the next two times that bass comes in a few seconds later.....probably just a loop splice. But that is nitpicking the heck out of things.

This track belongs in either a video game or a movie. Very nicely done.

hmmm...i'll go back and take a look at those spots you mentioned, it may have been because i had too many layers at once or gave the loop too much gain or something. But in regards to the rest of your review, thanks a lot, that's really encouraging :D glad you enjoyed it, and look forward to more!

27 downloads and only 3 reviews??? Man, where is the love??

Anyway, great track. My wife listens to this kind of music as well, and this one is as good as anything I've heard on her IPod. Kudos for jumping into the pool and making your wife happy, haha.

Maybe we should all take our cue from this and start producing stuff our wives would listen to.......

Nah, that wouldn't be any fun :)

Outstanding effort. Now to all those who download but don't say thanks, COME ON PEOPLE!!!

HAHA the phantom downloader seems to be one of my biggest fans lol! I'm glad you enjoyed the track! As for the producing music only our wives would listen to, I think I'm a bit to A.D.D. for that lol.

Bad azz vox :) You are really versatile. It takes some real talent to move from this type of metal to something like your acoustic track. Outstanding effort. I have to believe a lot of the guys on here that do metal must might be beating your door down for collabs.

Awesome job on this one. My compliments to the band, whomever they are.

Dude, we need the expanded version!!!! Talk about potential, this one has it.

I had to laugh about the Irish pub in Alabama your Dad plays at...something really funny about that.....

A redneck walks into an Irish pub in Alabama with a parrot on his shoulder. The barkeep says "where the hell'd ya get that"? The parrot says" Alabama, it's full of em".

Anyway, it would be great to hear another 3 or 4 minutes on this one :)

Yeah, I do something like this about once or twice a year (come up with a short snippet for school and then expand on it later). I know that this is the third one I've posted (previously it was the one for Legacy Drive, can't recall what it was before that). So no worries, this will get bumped up.
And its cool about 'laughin-at-alabama-irish' thing, my mom & I have done it a few times. This is mainly due to the area the pub's in (think of a small town with a mix of snow birds and country bumpkins). Though it aint as bad as it was up in NC (Wilmington/Outer Banks areas), the folks down here are more down-to-earth (less snobby than the other). Anyways, thanks for stopping by. Later on!

on DEF DV EYE DRUMS for collab by DonnieVyros
Wow, DV, impressive program for sure. I'm no DnB guy, but I have to believe someone like Spivkurl would jump all over this bad boy and do something absolutely wicked with it.

Love the tone on this one, everything is really crisp and clear. Awesome job brother.

Nicely done. The one thing Looperman can always use is more acoustic work. It seems to be a lost art form with the advent of electronic music and folks playing only laptops.

This was a refreshing listen. I enjoyed the uplugged feel of this. I look forward to hearing more from you.

Welcome to the Loop by the way.

Wow, my friend, stellar guitar work. Little bit of Hendrix and a little bit of Petrucci in your style...that's one hell of a combination. Really nice work, great tone.

This one could have been another 3 or 4 minutes in length and I would be a happy camper. Loved the ending as well.

Welcome to the Loop. Nice to have another great guitar player on here.

This is really beautiful work. The backing track is exceptional, which is a good thing....

because the backing track had to be top notch to match your amazing vocal work.

As I travel around the Loop, I am amazed at the amount of talent on this site. Once again, by accident I discover an amazing singer.

And I'm really glad I did.

Bravo to all of you.

Funnily enough, just before I saw this review I was talking to JW about your blues loops! Love them!
Amazing singer? Lol! I think not, but thank you! Marie :D

on THE DISTANCE by Planetjazzbass
This is a combination of talents that would rival Pink Floyd, Dream Theater, or any of the other really great groups that have graced the airways before you all got together. Every last note is perfection, leaving all of us with a final product that truly illustrates all that is good about music. My hat is off to all of you for a job extremely well done.

This is like having 4 great artists paint one picture....beautiful work gentlemen.

on Variable Temperature Pump by visionarysoundsystem
I think Brent nailed it....the degree of difficulty on this one is about as high as it gets, yet you made it sound like something a studio cranked out. Everything has its place and is just crystal clear. The bass line is awesome.

Really well done.

Some of the most beautiful music ever created comes from pain. I feel the emotion in this piece. It is absolutely beautiful. Your mother would be very proud.

I am sorry for your loss. Keep honoring her memory through your music. Absolutely one of the best tracks I've heard in a long time.

on The Soul of a Shogun (Voguie Vox Mix) by PWalrus
I have to believe glitch is probably the most difficult of genres to mix....so much going on. I think you've done a pretty good job with it though. I like the RnB flavor on this one as well. Really nice bass line.

Good job.

PWalrus
PWalrus replied Unknown - 2027 years ago
Much appreciated! I'm pretty new to glitch. My entire catalog is on here actually, for glitch anyway. I experimented with other styles before I stumbled on this one. Mixing is definitely the hardest part to these tracks. The rest is just very tedious and time consuming lol. I've found that treating the samples used for glitching as their own "track" (their grouped up in ableton) really helps me handle mixing that part, seeing as the glitch, while not being a real instrument, is suppose to act as an instrument in the song structure. But it's a task, but I'm still improving. That sample was beautiful by the way, thank you for that! And sorry about the novel lol.

on Starter Easy by NeonStrawberry
Neon, wonderful work here. I love delay, and probably use it more than I should. But delay always makes me feel like the instrument is having an intimate conversation with itself.....maybe that sounds strange, but it's the feeling I get when I listen to it.

This is really nicely done, almost introspective at times, but definitely a wonderful ride.

Well done, really well done.

Yay, finally a track of yours up to listen to, and it is a good one too :)

I love your voice. You have such a soothing quality. I wish you did books on tape or CD. You have the perfect voice for that.

Anyway, I digress. This track is wonderful, and your vocal work takes it to a whole new level. Keep producing and please keep recording vocals.

Had to add this one to favorites.

Beautiful.

on This is My Life by marina41
I like the dissonance created by the vocals. You could almost take this one in other directions.....maybe break into a rock or metal approach in the middle of the song.....something that really kicks you know what.

And then bring it back from the brink.

Keep doing what you are doing. This is good work and has the potential to be great.

First off, welcome to Looperman. You will fit in nicely.

Second, I really like this track. It has tremendous potential. At some point you could really make this one special by adding a full orchestration (strings/brass) if you wanted and turn it into a full blown cinematic piece. It is still a really nice listen, and almost has a western feel to it (think Clint Eastwood).

Nicely done.
