on Instant Reaction - Featuring - Sanna Hartfield by midiman007
James, stellar work as usual on this one. It is never easy to work around a pella, but this one is so seamless that if I didn't know better, I would have thought it was recorded in a studio. Scott's drum work is exceptional (as usual) and your instrumental work is on par with his work.

Great mix and master as well. Nothing to critique on this. Outstanding effort gentlemen (and lady). Added to favorites!! Love that synth (is that hooked up to your guitar). I hope all is well.

Bear as always it's great to hear a nice compliment from a great musician such as yourself.

I have to tell you the truth, I have been playing piano and synth via the keyboard and trying to become a master like you are on keyboard. To me using loops and midi files that are not mine is cheating. I guess I pulled it off.

I hope all is well with you and wish you and your family a Merry Christmas.

Let's hook up after the holidays and do a collaboration.

I know this is one of your older tunes, but it really is quality work. Her voice is stunning, and the production is excellent. Great song. It would really be something special if you could have had this one in the studio with some session players. Anyway, great job and I hope you are still writing and recording. I hope all is well.

Man, this is nice and you could really take it in a lot of different directions. After your intro, at the 35 second mark (or thereabouts) you could come in with some heavier electric guitar, bass, and drums and morph into a metal/alt rock section, then back into acoustic, then back into the metal/alt rock. Add some strings, really bring the volume up on the metal sections. Put some vocals in it, stir it up and I think you have a potential for a hit here. Really well done. I hope all is well.

on cat and zombie ft SPIVKURL PHATKATZ by DanGoldstein
I am not sure how I missed this one, especially around Halloween, but I am glad I discovered it. This had to be a "nightmare" to try and capture all of the meter changes, and have the chaos all meld together to make a cohesive track. Really innovative and a lot of fun to listen to.....looks like the 3 mad scientists got together and made this one work really well. An enjoyable listen and a tip of the hat to all of you. I hope all is well.

Hey, Bear. It's crazy. For no particular reason I opened up this project tonight and here is your comment!Yup - the odd-meter was quite the challenge. glad you had a chance to listen to this one! Regards - Dan

Like Ed, I don't listen to a lot of EDM, because much of it sounds the same. You, however, have found the secret to keeping my attention...you vary melodies, throw in dissonance, use dynamics intelligently....I guess what I'm saying is your compostional skills are really good and you translate your ideas into great music. Really well done (and I liked the quirky percussion outro - I never saw that coming). Well done, really well done. I hope all is well.

I said it 3 years ago, and I'll say it again....if you were only in the right place, you could be absolutely dangerous. Your sound is so current and relative, I really do hope you have been writing music and performing building a fan base. Just remember, you always have a bus driver if you need one :) I hope all is well.

Bear! Thank you so much for the kind words. It's great to see ya! Hope you have been well!

Truth be told I'm having a lot of trouble accessing that place in my head where the music usually comes from and its been a very unfruitful year musically speaking. I'm struggling writing on my own too since I don't play any instrument particularly well. All a part of the process I guess. Currently I'm trying to get my new home studio room (a whole room!for me!) set up. Here's hoping I do something with it! :D

What a huge collection of talented people. I do believe it would be nice if Looperman.com had a "must listen to" list on the home page. If it did, this song would be at the top of the list.

Downloaded to enjoy again and again and again M. There is nothing to critique here, simply 4:31 of pure joy. Thank you for allowing downloads and for posting this jewel. My kudos to all involved. I hope all is well.

on HOME - Joe Cramer on SBM - proximal vicinity by joecramer
Great work Joe. Your voice does sound quite a bit like Iggy Pop, and that's a great big compliment for sure. Like SJ suggested, the vox just need a little bit of reverb and placed a bit farther back in the mix. Other than that small critique, I wouldn't change a thing. Well done Joe, really well done. I hope all is well.

Thanks Bear for this nice comment.
I hoped that you like it, `cause it´s your music.

I made a little update with some more reverb over the voxs. And a few little changes on the levels and so but not sure :) like mostly :) about the result ...... itz much more easy to say "a bit farther back" then to do (for me)

Hope i didnt change it to the bader, if, tell me and i reupload the old version :)

Thanks for the listen and the helping words

stay tuned

Pat, I knew Mark was on to something when I heard his rough sketch, but now hearing all of the additions, and then having them mixed and mastered by one of the best...well, it truly did turn out to be amazing song. Has a great Pink Floyd vibe to it with the addition of the vox and lead guitar. Your production skills are off the charts good. Thanks to both of you for putting in some extra effort on this one. It really is a special song now. Well done gents!!

on Hands off the hair by Killumineye
Nicely done. You accomplish quite a bit using only a few instruments. There is plenty of room in this one to add some brass, sax, maybe even a bit of heavier rhythm guitar. It stands on its own, but if you ever wanted to take it to the next level, it has that potential as well. Good job. Hope all is well.

Mark, another terrific job by you. It is an honor to occupy this virtual stage with someone of your skillsets, and in a perfect world we could do this one live. Since we live in an imperfect world, this virtual stage works just fine. Superb vox, guitar and harp man. And the mixdown is stellar as always. Another hit that I have on continual loop. Thanks for letting this old guy play along Mark. It was a pleasure. I hope all is well.

I always enjoyed the movie, and this song would have worked well with it. Percussion on this one is outstanding. That bass is nice and is the kind you feel as well as hear. Very suspenseful track that takes the listener on a great little ride. Nicely done FT. I know cinematic isn't your usual fare, but you certainly did well with this one. Maybe another in the future for us cinematic buffs? I hope all is well.

on Falling Up by 15ludwicke
I had to listen to another tune while I was here. I see you are still in high school, and that means you have a really, really bright future ahead of you.

A little advice from an old guy who has been at this a while....make sure you keep working on your craft. You will hit some closed doors and get frustrated at times, but keep after it. You have an ear/knack for composition/arranging/engineering. Your sound is current and hip and cool and all of the other superlatives and different too (and that's what the music industry needs right now, an infusion of different). Props man, another great track. I hope all is well.

I see this is one of your first chill out tunes....well, I think you just may have discovered your groove. My God man, this is so lush with this wide beautiful mix. Everything in this is spot on, flawless work. I'm a sucker for great keys and this one is full of great synth and pad work. Definitely added to favorites. Chilled to perfection. Well done!!!!! Thanks man! This track really started off with what I had saved as "deadmau5" progressive chords, so I it kinda just came out of nowhere. Who knows, I'm actually working on more chill out/chillstep tracks so maybe it'll take me somewhere. Thanks for supporting both of my tracks!

on Mojave Sunrise by Orlando51
It is wonderful to stumble upon this wonderful song, especially since I live in the Mojave Desert and am now watching the sun rise in the east. You absolutely captured the magnificent essence of that moment when the sun tops the mountains. While the desert can be a hostile place, it also has its beauty. Spectacular use of pads my friend, mix is so tastefully done. Sometimes less is more, and this track illustrates that quite well. Definitely added to favorites and downloaded to have it to accompany tomorrow's sunrise. Thanks for that.

Beautiful work Orlando. I hope all is well.

place in it's creator's opus..:)
Thanks alot my friend for this great comment and I wish you beautiful sunrise tomorrow...

One thing is for certain, nobody can ever call your music boring, hahaha. Damn, had the volume cranked and I think I took off the first two layers of paint on the walls of my studio. But I did get the neighbors off their collective asses this morning.

I know nothing about the hardcore genre, but I liked this craziness from start to finish. Well done FT!! I hope all is well.

failingtimes replied 22nd Oct 2014 - 11 years ago
I have no clue about hardcore either, just picked a genre that I thought would fit.

2 layers of paint, nice.

Thank you I appreciate the comments, I try to make things as crazy as possible, it's kinda my thing. Its even better when other people like crazy to.

Since you liked that cruise of to the old profile when you get a chance there should be something else in there that you might like.

Thanks Again. FT

As Alex said, your work on the keys is really nimble and smooth. Nice crisp clear mix...really nice. My only complaint was it needed to be another 3 minutes longer, haha. Great groove, executed flawlessly Doudei. I hope all is well and also hope the snows this winter keep you indoors in front of the keys making music :)

As usual, the basis for a great track is the percussion and you did not disappoint Scott. Great basis for the rest of the instruments....there is nothing better than having a great driving beat like this one. I enjoyed every last second of this one. Major props Scott for a job well done. And an add to favorites as well.

I keep having to remind myself that you are only 11 years old (maybe you turned 12 now). You have a better grasp on music composition than many people who are 2, 3 or 4 times your age. I have to agree, the violin is the star of this show. Beautiful work throughout. The whole song has a great driving vibe to it, not only good for dancing, but also a great song to plug in the CD player and take a drive literally.....you could cover a lot of miles with this one on a continuous loop. I also like the way you were able to push the mix....not to the point of clipping, but getting everything you could out of it. Nicely done. I hope all is well.
