on Tears by Lonelyawxy
well done Lonely it definitely has an emotional feel, not surprising though, what your country has endured and still is. i agree a good vocal on your work would bring you success, but good vocalists are hard to find. although you could check out some of the singers on the forum looking to work with producers musicians etc. i uploaded a track just before your time that i dedicated to your people, i was totally shocked and devastated by the pictures i was seeing, the link is below if you would care to listen

Thanks, man. I've got about four or five metal tracks. Some heavier than others. Metal is my first true love when it comes to music. I make a lot of electronic, or DnB, but it's metal that really does it for me. I've been a full-on metal head since about 1985. Back when it was still in it's infancy. I love almost all kinds of music, though. I mean, my collection goes from J.S. Bach to Infant Annihilator, and damn near everything between.

Thanks for checkin' it out, and I'm gkad you liked it.

Take care, brother.

Hola Paul, so nice of you to always stop by! I'm so glad you like the track... it was an incredible amount of work. Do you know that feeling when you've made a track and listened to it about 1000 times and then at some point you just find it sickening? But you still know it's good? That was the case here, so I'm super happy you like it. I just want to please ...
Thank You for listening,
Cheers,
Micky

on Maybe We can Try by Jynxz
top draw Rob, great creativity, and its like flicking through my sample library ive got lots of these samples i should use them more, i also remember your driving through the metropolis of an evening ive been having a go its done but id like a vocal. i learn alot from listening to you bro
Jynxz
Jynxz replied 15th Jul 2022 - 3 years ago
Hello Paul,

God only knows how many Vocal samples I have.
Ironically enough I only use about 100 of them
maybe less, over and over. I call them "The Bro's & Brides of Jynxzinstien"lol. It's intriguing how they
impact my tracks. Sometimes I will do a total re-write
because of how one of the Vocal samples changes my idea of what I'm trying to do if that makes any sense.

I really appreciate your continued support and encouragement
We can learn so much from each other. I try very hard to keep my ears open. Music is everywhere.

PEACE...

on Another 2 Days by BaoBou
hey BaoBou nice to have you back around, love the vibe you got going, the guitar is standout the bass guitar is deep funk and gives it that bounce.
you sound just like me on the vocal thing, I'll keep working at it :)) forget how many times ive wrote the same its not bad mate, your original that counts a lot.
BaoBou
BaoBou replied 14th Jul 2022 - 3 years ago
Awesome Paul, thank you!
Haha yes we feel insecure about our vocals, but then I try to remember what Dave Grohl said - Bob Dylan also wouldn't have made it on "America's Got Talent" and he still made a pretty good career out off that ;)

on from the wasteland by xstokes
Stokesey you are really on the mark of late, again this is quality bro. this track doesn't pretend to be anything, simplistic melody, flat straight drum and snare, and that kick bro, beautiful. great vox its like a sermon. its like a lesson on a new way of life, you want to listen, as i say simplistic but so textured to create an aura of tranquillity, you say its old yet it so fresh sounding the mix is crystal clear, bang on Mike

What's up Paul,

Ian said "Cosmic Jazz" oldgoon901 said "Jazz"
and you say "Space Jazz"...
I guess the common denominator is JAZZ.
I feel a track coming using all three, thanks.
I'm terrible at names and genres, so now I got three.

Thanks for giving my track a listen and for your continued
encouragement.

on all those years by phantomproduction
hey Michael this is great, i agree with Chris its more rock with a pop edge. genres are for anoraks really, the vox are red hot the sound production is great and its difficult to use vocals from another track and fit them perfect on new music ive done it a few times here with big pun biggie the specials pet shop boys and its a mess about to get everything tight. one of the main reason i started to write my own and TRY to sing :)) but i do love just sampling and adding my own bits and fx, thats what got me interested in this world, i'll never be great but i will eventually start writing bits in the piano roll. never did i expect to become engulfed in production, its because of this site and its people. this mate was a beautiful listen for me very well done
phantomproduction
phantomproduction replied 2nd Jul 2022 - 3 years ago
Hi Paul, like Chris I think you're right, this track sounds a bit more rock than pop (probably my hard rock roots resurfacing) but with Lauren's Voice I really like the rock side of her timbre!

love this Cru that reverb is sic, the guitar is fly as fuk and the drums are solid, really chilled out love the synth work and the impacts and precussion would love a female voxs on this, great job mate
crucethus
crucethus replied 1st Jul 2022 - 3 years ago
Thanks, fun fact, at 1:13 there was really no snare, but some Valhalla magic and we have a gated snare in the mix. A female vox would be nice. I was looking at that but ultimately decided not to add it at this time, but you are right that would work. Much appreciated is your visit mate, I hope life is moving well for you now!

on Modnex - Last Breath WIP by Modnex
hi Modnex, nice track, you need to finish this. for your sake not just your young cousins, otherwise it will eat away at you. ive suffered this a number of times with friends, once is to many, ive suffered pain in the hardest form, my mum was murdered when i was 15, ive suffered mental health issues too and know all about blaming yourself, you ask yourself too many times, why didnt i see this, was i around enough, could i have done more. the truth is, you never really have the answers and the hurt kills you if you dont share your troubles, its not gonna take away the pain, but it lightens the load, i done a cathartic song about my mental health here (overwhelming thoughts) and had great support from the guys, remember your not alone in this, there's lots of people who have experienced it or similar and feel exactly the same as you and your family, reach out bro it helps, take it from somebody that has the t shirt, im 56 now and still feel the pain daily. life does move on and yes it does get easier just, you made the biggest step by sharing with us strangers that can be the biggest challenge, admitting your own hurt. i got your back. like everything you done, just needs mixing down better. i felt compelled to comment mate its brave to share personal shit.
Paul
Modnex
Modnex replied 3rd Jul 2022 - 3 years ago
Thanks, Paul!! I'm so sorry to hear about your mom and the pain you've gone through. Life is hard and sometimes it feels overwhelming being here. But, it's best to take it day by day and step by step. When my cousin passed, my entire family was in a state of shock. We couldn't believe he would do that. Then slowly, more and more details started coming out about his case. He attempted to take his life once before, but got scared and called an ambulance after downing a bunch of pills. That side of the family wanted to keep it hush, hush, so they put him in a mental hospital under 72 hours' watch and didn't tell the rest of us. He told his dad he would never go back to an institution, which now knowing what we do, meant the next time he attempted it, he wouldn't stop; he kept his promise.

In these types of situations, it's hard not to blame yourself, but the reality of it is, that nothing we would have/could have done would have changed the outcome -- it might have slowed it down, but if he was set in doing it, he would have found a way eventually. I'm so thankful for your support and that support works both ways. If you ever need an ear, I'm here.

Thanks, my friend. Take care for now.
