on Water Treatment by Zootman
great feeling from the opening note Chris, serenity personified. this cleanses the soul. there's something about the sound of water be it dripping, flowing or trickling it instils calm. i grew up 10 mins from the sea, moved to southwest coast to work 2 mins from the sea, i will eventually end up back by the sea hopefully. you can keep bringing this everyday and twice on a sunday as far as im concerned, so relaxing
Zootman
Zootman replied 7th Aug 2022 - 3 years ago
The Humps once said that dripping water can also drive people insane, though that wasn't my intention! I lived and worked in the UK for a couple of summers in the early 90's in Newquay, selling ice creams and generally being a surfie bum. But I really loved Cornwall, it's a place I could easily live. So I can well understand the pull of the sea. Cheers man.

What's up Paul,

You don't miss anything.
The Cymbals were the first
thing that caught my ear as
I was scrolling through some
of my old tracks. Those Vox's
just never seem to wear out. I've
been using pretty much the same ones
since I started making tracks.

I really appreciate you stopping
by and giving this track a listen.
Your Fave is the icing on the cake.

PEACE Bro...

Thank you Paul!

The pandemic wasn't (is) the difficulty, but the little boy (7 years old) ... he's going to school now, but it doesn't matter what kind of school ... it should be small populated, but here in Hungary they still don't really know and handle this word that autism... :-) :-(
actually, we thank you for the cool report of the song ...

on Jynx- feat Joey Bonez Striking Daggers by Jynxz
well done Rob, 100% respect for stepping out your comfort zone and the same again for your interpretation. your music ability is unquestionable. this is how i see it, and ive had 4 listens headset and speakers so i can give an honest opinion, which is what you want. you could so easily have chosen a well known rapper to help carry your first attempt, you didnt, bravo, you choose one of LMs biggies again bravo, i fully understand your apprehension about using others work especially accas, i felt the same about Frank Yola and Salty, tbf he left a positive comment which was cool but this is familiar territory for me. it isnt for you, from the opening second its rap i felt i knew what was coming, yes i was surprised by your interpretation, because its bloody creative mate, will the hardcore like it, fuk em, rap is an interpretion anyway ive forgotten what my thing is since ive been here, i like madness now more than anything, you covered all the points its repetitive its got hot vocals the cymbal rides are fire the drum is what makes this different, its usually one repetitive beat, you choose to do different nowt wrong with that, overall i like what you've done, you most certainly done the most important thing right though, nothing interfering with the rappers vocal, thats the most important to them being heard. you get a fav for having the balls and for creative flare. two points to note the outro is fading the rappers lines if it was ad-libs it wouldnt be an issue :)) they big headed fuckers they dont want fading even at the end the music could finish it, the other is really personal taste i would slightly bring the vocal up a tad or bring the beat down a tad, but for a first attempt mate, great work, it would be nice to see a comment from the guys too.
my next was inspired by you i will mention it in the description, ive stepped out too, watch out for it in the next couple of days, im still deciding ad- libs or instrumental never done a track without vox before

Wow Paul,

This has got to be the most comprehensive informative comment I have ever gotten here on LM. Your insight on writing Hip/Hop/Rap music specifically and any Genre for that matter is on point. Thank you very much for your encouragement to continue to color outside the lines.

I'm looking out for your next creative endeavor. I know it will be off the hook.

Thanks for the listen, comments and Fave.

PEACE...

on Evolution by nyd868
nice work bro, the synths are great, i like that bassy rumble its very atmospheric has a growl, its dominant, maybe run an automation track on it and control the volume up and down, it'll soften it and give room for the other catchy notes to bounce even more, thats just personal choice though its cool as is, great catchy mix and you have all the bones to extend it to a full track

on Tears by Lonelyawxy
well done Lonely it definitely has an emotional feel, not surprising though, what your country has endured and still is. i agree a good vocal on your work would bring you success, but good vocalists are hard to find. although you could check out some of the singers on the forum looking to work with producers musicians etc. i uploaded a track just before your time that i dedicated to your people, i was totally shocked and devastated by the pictures i was seeing, the link is below if you would care to listen

this is great V, we dont get much metal, the intro is great then that guitar wow great metal riffs sic gritty as fuck bass, great staging and breaks the drums are solid and loud the soft gentle parts are so contrasting of each other like your description in can be your heaven, tread carefully and treat it well it could be your hell great production and sound it might be old to you but its new for me
ValveDriver
ValveDriver replied 17th Jul 2022 - 3 years ago
Thanks, man. I've got about four or five metal tracks. Some heavier than others. Metal is my first true love when it comes to music. I make a lot of electronic, or DnB, but it's metal that really does it for me. I've been a full-on metal head since about 1985. Back when it was still in it's infancy. I love almost all kinds of music, though. I mean, my collection goes from J.S. Bach to Infant Annihilator, and damn near everything between.

Thanks for checkin' it out, and I'm gkad you liked it.

Take care, brother.

Hola Paul, so nice of you to always stop by! I'm so glad you like the track... it was an incredible amount of work. Do you know that feeling when you've made a track and listened to it about 1000 times and then at some point you just find it sickening? But you still know it's good? That was the case here, so I'm super happy you like it. I just want to please ...
Thank You for listening,
Cheers,

on Maybe We can Try by Jynxz
top draw Rob, great creativity, and its like flicking through my sample library ive got lots of these samples i should use them more, i also remember your driving through the metropolis of an evening ive been having a go its done but id like a vocal. i learn alot from listening to you bro
Jynxz
Jynxz replied 15th Jul 2022 - 3 years ago
Hello Paul,

God only knows how many Vocal samples I have.
Ironically enough I only use about 100 of them
maybe less, over and over. I call them "The Bro's & Brides of Jynxzinstien"lol. It's intriguing how they
impact my tracks. Sometimes I will do a total re-write
because of how one of the Vocal samples changes my idea of what I'm trying to do if that makes any sense.

I really appreciate your continued support and encouragement
We can learn so much from each other. I try very hard to keep my ears open. Music is everywhere.

PEACE...

on Another 2 Days by BaoBou
hey BaoBou nice to have you back around, love the vibe you got going, the guitar is standout the bass guitar is deep funk and gives it that bounce.
you sound just like me on the vocal thing, I'll keep working at it :)) forget how many times ive wrote the same its not bad mate, your original that counts a lot.
BaoBou
BaoBou replied 14th Jul 2022 - 3 years ago
Awesome Paul, thank you!
Haha yes we feel insecure about our vocals, but then I try to remember what Dave Grohl said - Bob Dylan also wouldn't have made it on "America's Got Talent" and he still made a pretty good career out off that ;)

on from the wasteland by xstokes
Stokesey you are really on the mark of late, again this is quality bro. this track doesn't pretend to be anything, simplistic melody, flat straight drum and snare, and that kick bro, beautiful. great vox its like a sermon. its like a lesson on a new way of life, you want to listen, as i say simplistic but so textured to create an aura of tranquillity, you say its old yet it so fresh sounding the mix is crystal clear, bang on Mike
