on LiddellC - Mon Paradis by LiddellC
Was looking for some inspiration this morning. Found it in this track.
Just thought you'd like to know. Here is a sample.

Work
Yes
Work, something that we all need to do
Whether or not the weather is hot
You got to trot to the spot
Even when the pay is less than a lot
But if you try all the times
That you want to give in
Chances are you'll find
Less damage is done
In the battle within
The search is over
You had what you needed all along to win
Yes
You had what you needed all along to win

Nice instrumental. There is a serious amount of development occurring in this track. "Constantly evolving sound-scape" is the phrase that keeps popping up in my head. Great production quality as well.

Great piece. Trancy yet its got an edge, that could use more drums, although I think thats been said so I'll leave it be. Melodic and harmonic material both suit each other and work well with the bass line. Some vocorded vocal lines or some other sort of dsp with vocals would reound this track out well. DON'T LET IT DIE.

on I dont know what he is by bobbybooth
Wow Man. I mean it. I dig this track. I know what you mean about it needing some vocals. perhaps a sample of some old British woman/man saying "I don't know what he is" and maybe some other choice phrases. for example the Quest for the Holy Grail's "Runaway". scratch those a bit as a melody maybe add some raps from fellow looperpeople and you got yourself a fine track. I dig the scream.

on midget by ATM
Sounds like your gonna let this one go.
I would urge you not to.
Take ryan's suggestion and expand it. Don't fall prey to starting music and leaving it unfinished. You'll never know how it would have turned out. If your getting bored with it, its not because you done with. Find out what excited you in the first place and add more of that.
When did this review turn into a motivational speech. Sorry. Do what you want. Maybe you'll let me bite this track then I'll ask alaska and ryan if they wanna collab on it.
In any case, keep it up.

na its good what your saying and im hearing what you mean but working out what else a track needs after spending a few hours on it can get daunting so i tend to get bored of trax fter a bit and end up abbonding them. have loads of backlogged tunes like this unfiished. i will go back to them one day and finish them off. i just threw this one up on here coz this is what i was working on and i wanted to open an account on here.
thanks the motivational review u guys made me now want to work more on it. maybe il do something with it when i have a day free.
thanks for listening to it..
peace

on Cleans Your Spirit by alaska
Theres a lot of good ideas here. At this point its just too cluttered. I like all the parts mind you, I wouldn't take anything out. During the versus it needs to settle down a little bit to make way for the lyrics and define the dubstep better. Then when you go back into the glitching lyrics you amp up the bass and the other crunchy sounds, all of which are sick imo. Really like this track, can't wait to hear more.

Epic.

Spreading Bass Pad is my initial fav. The entire beat is just filthy. I'm starting to hear lyrics too. maybe something like;

Some times some things
You can never take back
So keep rollin on
Don't ever look back

I don't know its your track, and I'm sure whatever you do with it will be awesome. Props again B'n'B. Burnin down for this one.

Wow, that was a trip. So thick, so many layers, so many textures. My ears were getting lost and overwhelmed all while enjoying the journey. Great lines, there is lot effort put in here, I can't wait to here the next version.

Sorry about the long wait for the reply, haven't had the chance to get back to you until just, I'm glad that you liked the track, there are a lot of sounds in this track, but its the piano that is the most complicated one.

Might not be a next version unless I can start thinking straight, but I'm getting there, slowly.

Thanks for the review!

on Lost Without You by chels1267890
"Lost without You" is a great title for this track. The difficulty of the changes juxtaposed with twelve tone horn lines. The "thread", "if you will" of the this tune is "lost". sorry I used so many ""'s. Props on the production quality, however I would like to hear more, perhaps a "break down"(haha couldn't help it) or a "b" section. In any case, this track was enjoyable.
