usually I'm not a great fan of christmas songs, but this special song is the one exception ...
you know, I'm Austrian, and for us this song is part of our national identity, we're simply proud that this melody was born here ...
and I love your interpretation ... a lot of emotion in there!!
wonderful ...
Thank you sir for listening and your kind words. I have loved this song since I was I very young. Not because of the lyrical content, but because the melody is so distinct and moody. I am happy that Slap & I did justice to an Austrian masterpiece! Peace, Six
brilliant, just brilliant ...
awesome playing like always, great theme and very cool breaks!!
a little more high frequencies on the git would be nice, but I guess that's my personal taste ...
the groove is fantastic, makes one immediately feel good ...
great work man, great work!
man, this is weird ... and it's fantastic!!!
very very creative ...
I can imagine a crazy animation movie for this track.
I guess you had a lot of fun making this, it was fun to listen for me ...
I'd say it was bordering on the most fun I've ever had making music. It felt like I was using my own "voice" finally. I'm not much of an animator, but I can see how that would be very cool. Thank you for the kind words!
this is a great track!!!
very good guitar playing, and your voice is just brilliant ...
the drums need variation, the beat doesn't change the whole song through and that's a pity ...
but your voice ... wow ... you rock!!!
Thanks, this was the early version we wrote to. just used basic drum loop to start thats why no variation. I added real drums later. I'll find it. My drummer is awesome. you gotta hear it. thanks again though!
this is great!!!!
something like this I had in mind while recording this loop ...
excellent work ...
only on some points it runs a little bit out of time ...
apart from that great track!!!
and very very good vocals ....
yeah, what a sound, and what a track!!!
classical rock on one side, but a slight electronic touch that makes it sound so fresh ...
great song!!!! from a great man ....
Ahhhh, the real Rei4real.
Hi there. Thanks for your very nice comments. I figured you as one who would like this song too a whole lot.
I enjoy messing around with loops as you can really put anything together...just your imagination is your limit.
That little electronic part is cool and fits in perfectly I think.
Thanks again friend from Facebook.
Randy
never heard a surfer song like this before .... and it's one of the best so far I ever heard ...
sounds like some sort of "chemical surfing"!!!
absolutely amazing, I guess only an opend minded person like you can make a song like this ... I'm very impressed ...
brilliant!!!!
Thank you Rei..I've always been a big fan of surf music..The way the oceans are these days just about every time you go in the water your probably "chemical surfing"..I must play it to some young surfer dudes and see what they think..lol cheers mate :)
what a beautiful track!!!
I'm happy that a little idea from me can inspire someone to make something so good ... that's awesome ...
I really like how you chopped it up and embedded it in such a great soundscape ...
very very good work ...
hey man!!!
that's cool stuff ... I really like it!!!
a lead melody would be good, or in other words: I would like to hear more of your guitar playing ... ;-)
the beat is a very cool one, I like your work with the snare, sounds almost like played real, and the intro is awesome!!
good work!! and thank you ...
cheers and thanks rei, i`m glad you liked it, if i can figure out a lead melody line i`ll add it but mainly i wanna come up with a nice vocal to flow with it , thanks again this track wouldn`t have been possible without your excellent acoustic loops.
wow, this is incredible so far ...
sadly when I thought now it goes off it faded out ...
I think this track could progress to something really bombastic, maybe some sort of dnb hymn ...
this is great!!!
your playing is really on a high level, but more than that I'm impressed by the arrangement and the composition ...
the recording quality doesn't count so much (in my opinion), it's good enough to hear that you are making great music, and that's all that really matters ...
Thanks alot ...I'm glad that you like it...Hehe I am only 18 years old...I will do some more shredding...Once again: I am glad that you like ma track...!!!!
what an arrangement!!!!
amazing creativity, the track builds up, slows down, it's starting new all the time but it holds it's tension, it's dynamics ... absolutely great!
it's magnetic ...
I love your soundscapes, the atmospheres you're able to create ... every single track is a journey on it's own ... with this one being no exception ...
great art my friend, great art!!!!
brilliant work ...
hmmm, that's pretty interesting ...
but why don't you upload the single loops in the loop section???
would be much more useful for the people who like it ...
for some reasons this amazing track slipped under my radar!!!
I read your description on your myspace and was heavy surprised to read my name ....
I'm really impressed, this is incredible ... almost hypnotic ...
and it's unbelievable that you managed to create a similar atmosphere as I did myself in the original track I made some of those loops for (if you got a little time check it out, it's called "hypnotized"!!!)
you seem to be my soulmate, at least when it comes to this track ...
thx a lot for creating this excellent track!!!
Dude, it was an honor using your guitar loops...as I say -It made the song. my hats off to you! Glad you liked it...I'm new to the technical details of music notes etc so I hope I didn't contort your guitar loops out of tempo or sound...much respect Rei - thanks for the review!
I love it, most of all that bassline ... this is an upright bass, right? very warm and gentle ... awesome!
the arrangement is just brilliant, well thought out ... from the start 'til the end ... perfect!!
I think I never reviewed your tracks, but let me say: I really love your music, your reverbnation-player is part of my myspace!!
you two have a great thing going on here ... and I truly mean what I say ...
actually the main bass is a sound i designed using zebra2. funny thing about this track is after slicing up fuzz_townshed's drum loop i was having fun replaying the slices then i started to work up the rhythm bed or a DnB track and my girl started playing keys and singing over it.. so i went with it.
and thank you much rei4real.. you are the one that introduced us to reverbnation.. we love that web site.
marvellous!!!
about the solo: well, it's very hard to play perfect soli at very slow tempo, I think all you have to do is to wait for the perfect mood to record it, cause it's a matter of the right emotion ...
my first thought when the song started was: this would be the perfect track for a line-up with acoustic guitars, violin, cello and piano ... if you have any chance to try it - do it!!
awesome ....
sony delivers very good sounds (I love the natural drum loops ...) and you sir have the skills to turn them into something real unique!!!
to me it's breakbeat with heavy industrial influences ...
pretty dark and powerful ...
very good track!!!
