Well, 30 seconds in and I was already like whoa! It's been some time since I heard anything like this, maybe 2001 or 2002 there was a Glo up and that was it. Not only is this legitimately good, it gave me some nostalgia for my touring music youth. Superb work.
I specialize in bass and drum lines as well as melody creation. This is most definitely unique, and I like it. I'd add a few more layers, personally, but that's not a knock on your work at all. I'd love to have the MIDI honestly, but if stems are all that's available, I'll do something with them for you, and post it here, of course. Lastly, I have quite a few European Friends and Collaborators, The Label I'm signed with is based in Europe, as well. I Enjoy these type of collaborations. Send me those stems :) -Aaron
And u just continue to be on a tear! Wow man, and u continue to change up ur work and have all kinds of different vibes. Youve grown alot as a music creator in the past couple of years, and it's awesome and inspiring to watch, brother. Well freakn done. -Aaron
I'll echo what my friend here already said. I think you're on your way up, and music has no ceiling. U can be as great as u want to be, if u put in the work. And that's exactly what this is, putting in the work. Keep at it, man. I'll check out whatever u post and follow how u progress. For now tho, focus on the consistency of ur bars, and you'll grow from good to great. See u round. -Aaron
Hey man, I gotta say, I think I've liked everything I've ever heard from u. But this is my favorite. I'll listen to this one a few more times tonight for sure. This is top notch work. -Aaron
This is a great song man! I've not had the pleasure of hearing ur work before, but I'm glad I hit play on this one. I'm a fan of music of all kinds, especially ones made by true songwriters or composers. U can tell the difference. Great work here, man.
Anyway, I'm at a loss as to where in my brain to categorize this song. It's not like much I've heard, at least not in this Era. This is not the type of music that I excel at, but that's what makes me want to try my hand at something similar all the more. Inspiring other artists with your work is one of the highest honors we can hope to get, and youve done just that. Very well done.
-Aaron
Thank you Aaron!
I was going for something like an ABBA disco vibe mixed with punk.
If you need goofy falsettos for your foray into whatever this genre is, maybe I can contribute :)..
Idk why I'm just now hearing this one, but it's right up my alley. I would love to add a million things to that piano and go a million other directions with it, myself...but thats the magic of music, man. Alot of the time, Your work, or my work, anyone's work, can become even better in collaboration, when an artist feels inspired by the art of another artist and sees ways not to improve it, but to build upon it, make it reach grander heights...sorry man, that speech had been building up for a long time. I just wish more people would open up and work together, but I guess I'll say more on that next time.
Like I was saying, this one calls out to my heart man. It's Very well done and the eerie piano makes me happy. -Aaron
F*CK yeah! My man! This is the shit! nothing else to say but straight up dope. That's the highest praise possible from Pnnywze, my friend. Well fkng done.
Another good piece from you, my friend. As always, a pleasure to see a post from u, and also your good choices of collaborators for your last few pieces. I'd love to hear more, brother.
- Aaron
I had no idea what to expect from this one, but as soon as the head nod started, it was on from there. This cat's ballin outta control lol. Nice work. -Aaron
Sometimes we can get excellent results with minimal tech, and this is proof of that. I began my journey as a musician as a guitarist, and I still play. It comes in handy in my current work, as well. Nice work.
Am I the only one who hears some funk in this? Yes, it's definitely 80s action-movie-esque, but the acoustic live-sounding drums add a different character than an 80s style drum machine would. It's a unique piece, and well done. -Aaron
yo Aaron, i think it coulda been a good Soul Train segueway. that drum is timeless man. it’s funny, after being openly in love with everything i heard up to then in the 80s i became a total snob, it had to be free improv, 12-tone, or eno. i exaggerate but you get it. the truth is tho i never stop listening to anything.
The title made me chuckle lol. One of your best characteristics is the way u embrace each genre u dabble in. I see music in a similar way u do, genres are only ways to classify music, they certainly aren't borders...but even if they were, im sure you'd crash through them Anyway. Nice work Paul. -Aaron
the title was only mentioned once bro, i liked the lyrics on this thought they were sharp but the wit was still there, i was gonna call it 'rippin off blouses' but drop your trousers was better, ya dead right bro, i'll crash through genres my way :)) keep listening
Ah, those kinds of memories are the Best, my friend. I hope those good memories continue to bring u happiness. I can hear u smiling and that means you're having fun, and if that's not a reason to make music, idk wat is. -Aaron
Hey my friend, your work is always a breath of fresh air, I don't come across anything else like it, really. And this one's deep, as well. All of us have times where we feel like those words are our reality. Thanks for sharing.
-Aaron
Sorry for the slow response mate - hope you are well and thank you for checking this one out and the warm feedback, i will of course return the ears given and catch up on your latest : )
I was just giving giving ya sh*t Paul! Lol what I actually told my girl is that true art needs time to develop, and just like dinner, it'll be done when it's done. So it'll be a nice surprise for her, actually. Also, Grime is the true spirit of the London scene, if u ask me, and its influenced my sound just as much as the stuff from the American south, or Chicago, or anywhere else. Everyone knows Skepta but I'm old enough to remember Dizzee.
give it me bro, i promised you a track, i will deliver it. its wrote and done ages ago but im not happy with the layout yet and Skepta and Dizzee are great i like garage it makes me feel happy for some reason but i love a good roastin' track
im always writing too bro, got verses everywhere, i'll land on one of yours good and proper
Dude I've yet to hear something of yours that I don't listen to from beginning to end. Idk what it is, your work is always interesting to me. I always check out anything u post, I've got so much on my plate that I can't come here and check out everyones work as much as I'd like, but I'm not going anywhere, either. Keep doing what u do, and I'll keep being a fan. -Aaron
Hi man, thanks so much. I reckon you did well to get to the end of this one, it's probably the most boring thing I've done lol. Nah, actually I like it, I find it quite meditative. Anyway that's a lovely comment. I wonder if you've started the new job yet.... If so I hope it's all you hoped it would be. All the best bro.
What's up Paul? UK Still makes sense for you, man. U should do some more tracks in this genre. It's had a huge influence on my style, especially my songs with halftime drum pieces. Meanwhile, I think my old lady came to the conclusion that I was pulling her leg when I said someone was writing a song about her and our relationship. I knew I should've told u I was from Iceland or something!
Aaron thanks for the stop off mate UK Drill makes sense as you say i'll probably do garage and grime too and that track is done inform your Mrs, but im just messing with it still, i will send it to you privately.
I have some experience with ambient music, but it's just a testament to how well this track is made, because it's just so easy to go where you want the listener to go.
Thank you very much for your incredibly encouraging words. Although I have already developed a little more musical self-confidence over time (and my presence on LM has played a strong role in this), I am very happy about comments like yours and help me overcome certain doubts that I still have. So again a thousand thanks, my day will be nice :-) Greetings, Micky
