I really like the instrumentation, I can think of a few things i could do with it. I think some solid Drums would be dope, instead of the acoustic style drums. In fact, if i could have your permission, could i rearrange this and see what i can grow it into, and Ill master it, as well. And of course, Id make sure you get proper credit in an obvious way. And u could feature it with your stuff, as well. I do professional work, it will speak for itself. Shoot me an email.
The first thing that stands out to me is how crispy that piano is. Pro Tools user, eh? I dont know many who use protools for this type of stuff, even tho it excels at it. The folks i kno use it for their live instrumentation and vocal mixes. (not on this level, i might add) I could picture alot of different vocals on this, tho. I hope u do well with it. Im trying to get released from my current contract so I can be independent again, marketing expertise is what i need most. I hope u have better minds working with u than i do lol. nice work man. - Aaron
also, i forgot to mention, i like the acoustic quality of the hats u chose for this one. nice sound selection overall. Honestly, id just fade this one out and call it complete. your mix is good. sometimes in the past id overtweak and ruin the subtleties in the mix. Its your baby, not mine. But i try to offer real advice when i can.
your mixing has improved, that was evident immediately. I was never fan of those type of vocal samples, mainly bcuz most songs that use them dont seem to be the right vibe for them , IMO. but they are perfect for this beat. You also have clear vocal cues, a place for verse, for chorus etc. Well done, man. im not the type to comment anything other than how ifeel, so take it to heart. I think youve found your vibe, man. - Aaron
Ah Aaron, thats so nice to read, i know how passionate you are, i dont see a big gap between being pro and not, a case of resources, and promotion only, and im not saying my voice is pro, but some of the tracks here are actually better than half the crap on radio, i back this community to the hilt.
to receive a gift like this is an amazing honour, i had to do it justice and i thought my story would connect with any artist pro or not, a feeling of 'yeah i've thought them words too'
im 58 Aaron i still have dreams, they've not changed, my expectations have tho'
thats the difference,
and tears are diamonds to a song writer, yours are accepted graciously
Ok, this has an old school flair to it, and its crafted with care. a bit more polish as far as a true beginniing, climax, and ending goes, I think listener retention would improve for u a little bit. r u aiming this at potential vocalists? im just trying to get a full sense of what your vision might be. Its good work on its own merits tho man. i like it.
Man those plugs are my type of sounds . hat's something I would use man LOL I only mean that with the most respect though bro I really like the sound selection in this one a lot. Nicely paced, as well. And your writing is becoming legendary, my dude. Niiiiiice work. -Aaron
bro im so happy just beat the Dutch at the Euros, final against Spain on Sunday,
thanks for your feedback and props on the track bro, your support has always been great, ive got another big cabaret track to follow this, keep on being cool bro this is what drives me and inspires me, sharing with the coolest artist on the net
So all my favs have uploaded this week, hell yeah. vocals are great, and ur description is pretty accurate. And i love ur stuff. This one seems pretty epic, considering ur style. Glad to hear some work from u, man.
-Aaron
Tumeke Aaron. Thanks mate. Haven't been around too much, too busy with work. Plus I don't know, I think I'm suffering from a bit of a lack of creative inspiration at the moment. I need to feel that making music is just a form of play for it to work for me.
wat up Paul, man everyttime i hear something new from u, i can tell ur having a blast. and with good reason. Youve improved on just about every level there is to improve, and its on full display. And i especially appreciate how eager u are to help newer producers learn, jus being a true Boss and im glad that we've grown our skills and talents right alongside one another, right here in this lovely community. i cant say enough good things aboout u paul. well FFnn done. -Aaron PS i have a friend who lives in the UK as well, and hes eager to learn. i mentioned that i knew someone more local to him who might not mind showing him some stuff. Id like to introduce him, but only with ur permission
thanks Aaron, its all about havin fun, yes we want the best results we can achieve but keeping it fun is important too.
thanks for the props on my progression. its a lot quieter these days which is a disappointment, i try to stimulate growth by being positive and giving back, i do like the community but i also like to remind people that playing a part is important its good for your soul too, your a great artist who i like to share listen and communicate with. give your friend my mail address and tell him to get in touch of course i'd be happy to give him some help, what part of the UK does he live ?
Gotta say, I enjoy the change of pace that you're doing, Paul. having fun like I am. I'll be around to hear the gems u put up as long as I'm able. Thanks for your contributions to music, man. -Aaron
thanks bro, its always good to have you around and im bringing the fun back with some hip-hop cabaret next me being me. oh ive done my own dark trap beat i will bring it, not done a vocal yet but i might just bring the instrumental though piano strings brass whistle percs and drums , i played it all on my keyboard and midi through different synths :))
Wat up Paul! Glad to see ur still holding it down around the community. I've been insanely busy with a bit too much on my plate, and while I'm gone everything around the whole site changed seems lol. I like the aesthetic though the site looks really clean and new. This has definitely got your signature sound. And I don't know if you got a new mic or a new wave recording your vocals or whatnot but it sounds a little bit different a little bit clearer to me maybe it's just my imagination either way man good work as always. -Aaron
sorry for the late reply Aaron, i had a long weekend break in my home town, no music just family just back home in the midlands now, yeah new set up, i Beta tested it, it looks fresh but the forum should be brought back i think.
no new kit slightly different vocal chain and improvement in my mastering now using better sidechaining, reverb glueing frequencies, stereo enhancements ive also not used as much EQ more my natural voice really only used one youlean 5 band dynamic sometimes i use 4-5 and mix it together, thanks for the positive feedback mate
Nice melody work, the drums need better mixing. But that only comes with time for this being your first one, that's no issue at all. Idk why this is only now popping up for me to check out, but I'm glad I did. Nice work, hopefully you have done more since this.
Well, this takes me back to youth, going to those giant, epic shows and parties were once In a lifetime. They dont happen anymore, not around here. Anyway I dont wanna echo wat everyone else has said, so I will just say the in the end, its the person who is creating the musics' preference on how the mix sounds. Drums could be louder, and the track would be a tiny bit better, again, in my opinion. Or if the drum stay the same it'll still be a great track. Like some others, Ive been around here a while, and I genuinely offer my opinions because I genuinely want to help other producers/musicians every last bit of potential out of their songs as they can. This is some good work, man. -Aaron
Man this is my shit! Fr dope bars man! I'd be down to Collab anytime, check out my work here, you'll hav a good idea of what I can do. Give me a shout anytime. -Aaron
Ok, I really like the melodic and ambient atmosphere in this one, I'd put it more into space trap territory, but that's no thing man. Check out some of my work If u have time, shoot me a msg if u wanna Collab on something. -Aaron
Once again on point, my friend. This is excellent. I've been wanting to make something using some of odarkas lovely vocals as well. Ur stuff never disappoints! -Aaron
Well I guess we both dropped some new stuff back to back today! Nah man I always think your stuff is unique and well done. This one is no different. Feel free not to feel constrained by a particular style bro.
just checked and commented bro, you know me only too well, i pen songs, im trying to be as unique as i can be, i answer critics with my work, like any rapper, i will never be constrained, i always stand up for myself and any other artist too that brings their own content you gotta have balls and believe in yourself or no one else will. you dont get remembered for being squeaky clean :)
Wow, ok! I can definitely say I've not heard much of anything else quite like this before. I mean that in the best way possible! Music is the truest art form man.
Hey wats up man, this is the first time I've ever heard your work, but I'm impressed. Didn't hear the original mix, but this one sounds fine. I would mix my drum bus a little differenly, and add slight saturation to the bassline, but that's purely a producer preference, not a knock on your talent at all man.
It's lovely when an Acapella works out in a mix as well as this one does. That's the reason I don't use them as often as I should, but good live vocals are hard to come by. Overall, this is good man. By extension, I'm also going to check out this vocalists work, too. So you earned 2 W's here from me man. Nice work. -Aaron
Thanks Aaron, I appreciate it.
Yes, it is very rare to match up an acapella well. I was stoked when I saw this coming together. Glad a little networking was created here. I recently uploaded an acapella of mine if you want to check that out. Reference track can be found under my tracks w same name.
Thanks again

Wicked bro. Look forward to hearing anything you come up with. Might send you a couple of stems in next day or two of something I'm working on at the moment. Might be of some use for something...
Idk why this just now popped up for me to hear, but I'm glad I did, I really like this one man. I could easily use this for something awesome. Do u remember what key its in, offhand? I could find that out myself if need be, tho. Lmk. -Aaron
Hey Aaron, glad to hear it! Don't know about the key sorry. It's mostly percussion except the choir voices which were spitfire labs free thing. And I can't remember what I played lol. Weston63 did a nice remix of it you might want to check out. You could follow his profile on comments below. Cheers Chris
A pretty good track overall, I'd dampen and lower the db on ur hihats slightly and possibly put some saturation on ur 808s. Love the tempo and vibe man. Nice work. -Aaron
