i really dig all of the elements youve got in this piece. i agree that the breaks are spot on. only thing i would do is compress this mix just a smidge [as i always do when i a number of "heavy" elements competing for space in a track], and i mean jsut a smidge, because the production levels sound quite good right now.
nice work!

lol i love it when you have fun with your wobble. it makes the song that much more enjoyable to listen to. those looking to improve their dubstep composition skills would benefit from studying your use of accents, synth and otherwise. they are almost always perfectly placed and never overload the piece.
i wikey this one..cheers for the fun ride.

on theme from the house of the rising sun by Littbarski
im diggin this. i agree, it doesnt belong in dubstep, but not many of the pieces in any of the genre categories really fit there lol so youre in good company.
i loved your use of samples on this...quite seamless. i would recommend compressing this thing a bit; its coming off a bit distorted. really fun piece to listen to.
good job!

the bass is mean [in a good way lol] and it changes up very nicely...keeps the listener involved and wanting more. love you percuss switchups. youve definitely got something here...cant wait to hear the finished product!

...what a beautifully sweet, yet almost pensive piano melody. love the simple beat you chose to couple with it, along with the bell like accents thru out. this is a fine composition. very smooth...
wonderful job!

NAUGHTY build up and drop! such an apt title, as well...feelin pretty closed in, isolated, manipulated when i listen. that wobble is so authoritative...and your quirky accents really give a great instability to the piece. love the break...its lonely and leads into a great switch up. really well composed.
nice work!

on trapped among society by SUBJECTN9NE
im likin this...great start. youve got a helluva wobble on your bass, which makes this nice and dirty. the beat is solid, and your synth accents are right on point. in terms of changes, you might want to try some subtle rythym switches with the bass, perhaps a small variation in the beat. or, do what i do and just go crazy: place one of the beats you started working on but didnt know how to finish/what to do with it [we all seem to have some of those lol] and just stick it in the middle of this piece as a break. wose come to worse, you just break up the elements you alread have [let just the wobble or just the synth ride with just the beat for a while].
youre getting better and better with each piece. its been a joy listening to your progession. keep it up...
great work!

i would love to go edit this track but since i don't have my full version FL 5 i can't save my progress i'm a idiot for not saving the individual tracks -_- but the mash up idea doesn't sound bad i'll take this and slam in a different track then back dj style hehe

what's funny is that i mashed together 3 pieces of mine i didn't know what to do with. they all had the same synth (since i was trying to figure out what to do with the sample) so i had 3 different versions that were about 45 to a min long and was able to make a whole track ^_^

thanks for the reveiw and putting up with my ranting

on Battle of the Strings by DFury
wow...very pretty...
what youve got here is a beautiful cinematic piece that a hip hop producer would take, lay a hard hitting beat, sung lyrics/hook and/or a sick spit on top and immediate have in his or her possession a top 40 hit. the composition is compelling and commendable. very dramatic...it pulls you right in from note one and doesnt let go until the last timpany drops. Great use and amount of accents thruout. really enjoyed this piece.
amazing work!

on Cinematico by jonzie008
this is stunning.
yes, cinematic is completely appropriate, but it is equally welcome in a genre like electro/euro pop. the drum line is so light, carefree...just like the guitar. perhaps without you knowing it, youve created a pop track that someone like
frou frou or imogene heap would MURDER. this is so catchy and airy...positive contemplation. every single element blends and flows into the next. masterfully composed. beyond solid production level.
...yeah...i love it...
mad MAD kudos and cheers for the much needed inspirado!

on Hang Up by Birdy
...now THATS what i call a solid build up and drop! it kicks you in the gut, but it hurts so good, all you can do is grin and bear it. this is raunch. filth. dirt. it picks you up from each drop/break and throws you across the room...lets you catch your breath, get back up on your feet...the comes from behind and sweeps your feet right from under you. when its over, youre left panting, disoriented, wondering what the f*ck just happened..and wanting it to happen again. ;) mark of a great dubstep, if you ask me. solid production value, great breaks accents thruout. REALLY sick beat. terminally ill, it is...
uber kudos!

i love producers that arent afraid to play and experiment with their wobble. thats where innovation and progression of the genre is born. this is a unique dubstep piece that is very well composed. i look forward to hearing more from you :)

on Important Distortion by Factor_one
ugh...i COVET the vibe of this track! when your first drop hits, i really wanted [or was expecting, rather] to hear some heavy bass with a naughty wobble accompanying the synth [since youve got this in the dubstep genre]...but its perfectly naughty without it. this track is obese in ALL the right ways. great use of synth and percuss, as well as quality production value. many might say they want more change ups or more breaks, but i love it the way it is. would also love to play with it a bit ...see if i cant add even more nasty to it.
mad kudos on a wicked track!

on Galaxy the Beast [Badman] by SovereignKonceptz
i would try to express in words what happens to me when your wobble drops...but there are young kids milling about...so i'll try to refrain myself. youre getting better and better with cutting your samples. they become more and more seamless with each track.
killer, as usual ;)

the variety of synth tricks you pulled out of your naughty bag for this is commendable. love the subtle changeups, as well as that dirty subtle wobble lurking in the backdround. very nicely produced. great work!

thanks for the review!

still trying to get it to export properly, i'm having a weird ass issue i never ran into before, the windy synth that starts the song isn't rendering correctly, it looses all its texture and sounds just like a sine wave with a delay, it's really strange...

anyway, thanks again for the words! your reviews are always a pleasure to read :)

on Gave you Dirt by Warptone
welly welly well...that is one of the most inventive intros of a dubstep piece i have ever heard. highly skilled use of the pella. love the wobble. and i covet how simple you kept it, without it becoming boring or tiresome. on the contrary, it left me wanting more more MORE! you simply MUST do an extended version of this track; one where you just let loose on the bass and the pella...cut the thing up to shyte like you did at the end of the intro. but keep it stank, cause this is stanky in all the right ways. really nice work.
kudos!
Warptone

glad you like it...about that extended version...i wouldn't hold my breath...i'm just lazy like that...but i'll do it eventually.

while i respect his opinion, i have to disagree with chud...i really like the ambient feel of this tune. i got lost in it. its perfect background music. to me, just because something is simple doesnt mean its boring. i recognize i may have this opinion because i generally write background music lol.
..and remember, these are just opinions. if you like and are proud of your work, nothing eelse anyone says matters. ;)
