forgive me for for the single review - but the set you put up today is truly like side 1 of a great album - in the sense that together there is a whole story that would be diminished by isolating a single track.
this is great songwriting + playing - i love hearing the drums take the lead and carry the tunes - the tumbling and rolling gtr style - melodic keys.
trombone. you f^cker i could hunt you down and kill you for this. but sorry i died and went to heaven instead.
keep going, kane!
Thanx, Michael. I'm thinkin' of maybe re-recording the vox in a lower key and cleaning up the chorus vox a bit. Glad you like 'em like they are though.
Keston, ah man - how it is to be objectified, vilified on sight - if the dumb frightened mopes could hear + understand this it could change the whole dynamic - peace + hope brother
I love it when people get it and you got it rigth on the nose. I was hoping to get that reaction and you solidified that the work is not done in vain. I am greatful pls feel free to download and share with ya like minded friends. Thanks again i am about to check ya material out.
hello, dean - this is such a well-balanced piece! elegiac but never saccharine. i love this track but i'm completely smacked down by the first three or five seconds - that little bittersweet statement is a killer.
brother i can only say you keep going from strength to strength - i am really digging your music - there's a powerful and very centered vibe on all yr stuff - peace
mr. micheal_stokes, thank you for your review. strength to strength, well i have to admit that without this community and its dope artists, my strength would go down a notch, kinda like sampson with no hair!! though im no sampson...this community truly humbles me and again i thank you for your encouraging words. peace and respect
I think the best yet - i do keep associating with your street movie and the way eternity happens in small beautiful instances - it's great to hear the journey reflected in your music - even if that's only my pov! More power to you + peace brother.
Hi Michael thanks for your review. After street movie i uploaded new more videos about my nepal trip.I did some cover tracks for use to this videos and i upload this tracks here.I put links for videos at the descriptions.I hope you may enjoy it.thanks again my friend.
peace
this is a great collaboration with all the right elements in place, but i gotta speak truth to power - not unruly enough!!
there's too much manners, like you guys didn't wanna upstage each other or something. I understand the constraints of virtual collab, but get yr fights on. this is a great track and deserves another round and i'd never say anything like this if i didn't love you! peace in a rumbling kind of way
Well, this is actually a first and we probably get back in there. Eventually.
But thanks for your eager will to make our track better. And to quote Randy Bachman of BTO: You ain't seen nothin' yet. :D Cheers mate/pmk
oh man the staggered tempo/s make this happen - strange haunting sound that really presents the theme - excellent turntable vibes - almost cries out for dips + scratches - thanks oz this is a gift
Thanks Michael for your review. I value it man. I know my lyrics have happened time and time again and some would say same old same old but it's all out of my heart and my life. Thanks for getting that, you have a real way with words. Take Care Friend

chops + composition really well-balanced - if there is justice in the world we'll hear you work that roland(?) with a live rhythm section - cool melodic playing. do you have any gig recordings?
gotta declare a pref fr the live mix (esp @ high volume) - that is until 4.30 where the studio sound really kicks in to these ears - no scholar but i do love what yr doing keeping the classics relevant!
hey thanks again! the bassline was just given me fits. sounded good playing thru media player and itunes, and audacity. but once i heard it thru the site player i sounded like it was clipping. so ive been fiddling around now for days to get it rite. i myself liked the flow of the live piece too. thanks for the ear and review, twice!
cool setting + arrangement for Lady J! dig the rolling & tumbling gtr style. now when that harmonica voice was introduced early on, that was interesting - heard some bagpipe-type skirls there, dunno if that was harp, keyboard, or what but that was a new sound and worked very well. thanks for the great music jvp!
re jump-cutting - a lot like what yr already doing at around 2.23 where the tempo has an instant shift rather than bein dialed up or down - but using a nano-second of black or white or pink space to heighten the dislocation - startle the temporal lobe - a synaptic discontinuity in the sheets of sound. goddam i sound like i need more coffee or something, maybe librium. peace K.
man you know how to end a track - that little click blew a fuse. i'm digging the twists and tweaking on this - y'know what might be fun on those tempo changes is jump-cutting to diminish the knob-twisting aspect as well as more subtraction/addition of the sound materials, not exactly dub-wise but weird the way you are - stay that way!!
Thank you I do intend to stay this way. Glad you liked it and thanks for giving it a listen.
Now, I'm not following you on "jump-cutting to diminish the knob-twisting aspect". What does that mean? I'm kinda new to this so lemme know what that means and I'll see what I can do.
