i am sorry too! i would love a partner for my dub sessions. somebody to go "hey man now thats a biiiit over the top. pull back hey." mostly all my tracks are done live flow. line um up n rock um! i just like the feel of the end result. thanks for stoppin' and listening.peace!
and if X=dub let A=delay, B=cut off, C=envelope, and D=resonate. find the resulting effects of the combined calculations of the sum of the factors............. he he. thanks for the listen bro, and huge compliment on the fav. peace and bless! ark
LM - it's so good hear you and esp to hear you in control of the situation in this song! That lower register you're singing in here is perfect for the theme and backing instruments. Powerful!
only thing i can to prev comments is that yr production values are superb - there's a really cool spaciousness here - for all the playing it never sounds busy. lovely music!
really digging this - i hear a 3-part structure that makes an interesting composition - only crit is that no switches were flipped on the pno til the very second, i would say there's room to play with that aco sound; not obliterate it but play maybe underneath it
terrific over-driven sound - i can only imagine that it's the kaos pad giving it that strange hand-held vibe - man, you know how to coax a spooked camel!
Thanks man, yeah the pad is a wonderful influence to the sound! im aiming for something different and i think this is quite the direction at least.. and nice chapel you got there, will take me some time to run through your books;)
i love this track. the drum section - placement, arrangement - is truly cinematic! man, my only crit is that the ratio of piano vs string is unfair - add second pno line!!
the strings are a bit intense but I consciously opted for a resonating synth string sound as opposed to normal sampled strings to give it that darker edge, and there is room for a second piano line, I didn't want to saturate it however, thought it was best to leave open.
echo all jfw's comments - great lyrics, too. the production skills on the last 70secs or so of the vox is terrific & should be exercised throughout the track to provide more spatial dimension to the instruments as well. what a foreboding song!
Gord, no kidding we could have been doing this standing back to back. Please check out Wolf for Rachel. I'm not trying to pull yr tail, I would love to collab tho!
this is such a good arrangement of materials i actually know and love - Rei guitars! i did a track using lots a the same source sounds it's like they are twins. i'll haveta re-up & send you a link.
The loops are great eh. This was one of the first mixes I did and to be honest, I thought it wasn't too bad. I'm sure someone could make my mix a lot better by adding or taking away but anyway...... That would be great....send me a link I would love to hear it.
Thanks very much for the review.
