Mid tempo track, a little different than what I expected to hear. I'm not sure what tropical house is but I expected it harder/faster for some reason. It has a certain feel that is calming rather than pumping me up. This style is a cool change up from some of the banging dance music that can sometimes never takes a break or slow it down just a bit in a club.
Although I'm not a huge Madonna fan I did buy her Ray of Light album as it was recommender to me as a driving album. That album has fast songs, great for stepping on the gas pedal but there are some songs on that album that remind me of this track. More mid tempo but still has that beat and can hold my attention and are well pu together.
Hi Wayne, thanks for stopping by. I came across the genre by accident probably on you tube or something. I think its characterized by the Pikes!? which are on the Nexus 2. Also its more laid back feel. Thanks for commenting will be sure to do the same in due course.
Cool music for a sci-fi movie or a scene that shows a passage of time. I looked at the waveform and wondered how the mix might sound as it looks a bit over compressed/limited. I was pleasantly surprised to find things sound cool.
There is a pumping that can happen if over compressed and I do hear a pumping but is it the bass and drums or you using the compressor as an effect? ha! Good stuff!
Well done Patricia! The intro was interesting and left me wondering how the reggae was gonna kick in. When it did I was instantly sold. Such a positive and uplifting vibe, a Lucky Dube feel to the track.
I wasn't expecting the vocal track and when it came in I was pleasantly surprised! It really took the music track to a new level.
To be honest, I don't care much for the saw synth sound, he, but the vocal track along with the positive vibe of the track was a big pick me up! Solid mix as well, fun track!
This one got my feet tapping! The bass is very cool and quite slappy, dig it.
Sheer madness works here, the song has a lot of energy and each instrument seems to have a life of it's own. To me this is a good length to this idea. I find too many people extend a song way past it's interest level. Nice restraint and great job overall on the track!
thanks for your words! I join you on the principle of the relevance of short duration! (if i well understood?). and then if it makes you want to revive the piece just at the end, it’s that eventually it created a kind of dependency ;)
That's great Leon. Is that you playing an acoustic or a plugin? It's so crisp it almost doesn't sound real. If it is real then a great tone to it and well mixed, I can't get my acoustic to be that nice.
Always a pleasure man! The piano, strings and git make such a cool sounding combo!
First my apologise for very late reply (busy lad)...!
When I'm about to do acoustic guitar I usually take different ways to do it...sometimes I use a plugin, sometimes I play a few lines on a real one but this time I borrowed a loop from minor2go....I still have to eat a lot of vitamines till I'll be able to achieve that degree of quality when acoustic guitar is in question...lol...
Thank you so much for your positive feedback and the 'fav'...means alot !
The vocals are a bit over processed i think, maybe too much effects? One other thing i might try is to lower the compression or limiter on the master channel a tiny bit. This will make the instruments stand out a little more in the mix by cutting a bit of the overall loudness of each of the instruments in the track and with some adjustments, make the vocals stand out a little more too.
The track is put together very well, the vocal track works so well with the musical composition. Keep up the good work!
Vocals: removed some annoying noises throughtout, furtherly noise reduction filtered, then, after trying lots of unsatisfying compression ratios, manually compressed. Last, add a reverb. I keep the general volume quite low, to keep the delicate performance of BabyGee, play it louder didn't seem consistent with the depth of the lyrics in my ears.
Instrumentals: i was inspired by "Viaggia insieme a me" by Eiffel 65 ("Follow me" english version) released in 2003. Has the same pop feeling but the drums and the bass are a bit pumped up (because they came from dance music).
I mix/mast using the I.Pod earphones, that has a masterful quality sound... clearly the final mix sounds very good, in relation of a 2009 netbook power. Maybe using a different pc and different earphones it sounds different too... who can tell? :D
Hey Majid! I happened to have my headphones on when I checked this one out. Wow, such a nice clear mix! There is a predominate mid/low punch to the song which i like because i'm a bass player!!
A cinematic piece of music i can see/hear. I think it would work for a few genres, it's upbeat and driving and has a positive vibe.
Mix sounds nice and even and the song is strong too. The vocals work together and are placed in the track for a listener to enjoy. Lots of interesting musical bits to listen to, well produced track.
Hey Domenico! For a rough idea i think it's a decent idea. Obviously not the best mix for only an hour but the musical idea is there and all the elements other than a vocal track or featured/lead instrument are present. I hope that you spend a minute or two more to add a lead guitar or vocal track(a featured instrument) because the laid back groove is cool.
I've been trying to think of what this reminds me of and strangely, i think of the Clash/Sandinista album and all the oddball music they put on there. It wasn't a fluid album but a diverse collection of styles of music. This one would fit on that album. I know that is weird but it is a compliment, ha!
Thanks for the comment Wayne.
I am not sure whether I will rework this or not: was a nice experiment for me... but I don't think I will repeat it.
Regarding the comparison with Sandinista: CLASH is one of the bands I love more! Your avatar is what I have used a lot of times on other web-sites ... without "the humps" of course :-P
London Calling is one of my 5 "desert islands" records.
Still I loved Sandinista as well. Now I need a joe-strummer-like singer to put some words on this song.
Ciao, Domenico
Wow, beautiful track! Crystal clear tracks and a wonderful mix set a relaxed, mellow mood for everyone to enjoy. And it seems they are by the amount of dl's already, i think I'll join them.
I dig this, creative and cinematic. It is nicely put together, the instrument choices, placement and performance are well executed. Reminds me of the Decemberists a bit on a creative level. Well done!
Although I'm not a big dance/electronic music fanatic and don't claim to know much about those genres I still do enjoy the occasional song that has a different feel or hook that appeals to me.
Ample space in the song, it's not blazing fast, it's not over compressed(could actually use some more) and it kinda has an island feel to it. I live at the beach, this would work at the bars/clubs. Cool track for just thowing it together!
Nice track my friend! Spacey, spiritual, mind expanding....
The middle bit has an American Indian feel to it which i feel fits the feel and idea of the song.
Sorry i missed this one but better late than never.
I believe in reincarnation, honestly. How can newborn babies just weeks old exhibit different personalities or any personality at all at that age yet some don't cry while others....do, ha! They must carry their karma along with them into their next life. No reason to fear death, coming back to suffer it all over again and again... A little Buddhism never hurt anyone.
Hello Wayne,
Sorry for the delay in replying mate.
Thank you very much for the feedback.
I find it very interesting and I do hope that we will meet after our death whatever we come back as.
Do you really believe that?
One only can hope my dear friend.
Thanks again.

I love this Patricia! I am in a good mood today, awake and checking out the tunes here. Just ran across your track with danke(awesome!) and it keeps getting better. I live at the beach and this one has that island feel with a touch of jazz thrown in. A positive vibe emanates and oozes from this track!
You have a new mic? Your vocals are much clearer and brighter these days.

A lot going on but it doesn't feel cluttered, good job with the production and mix. Guitars are cool, dig the effects on them.
Totally cool!

thanks for your words! to answer you, in this track i used midi for horns. In the next track, horns will be present too and now it will be real horns.
I didn't understand a word. I translated it with google but it doesn't enlighted me lol the word is "cluttered".
Thanks a lot
