You created a nice atmosphere right from the beginning. Chillin' out music after dinner, sitting on the deck relaxing. The bass is singing like Barry White, he.
This is pretty cool! Some slick guitar riffs in there. I like the raw feel of it, almost has an early punk vibe going on. Vocals would be a nice addition. Rock on!
Dark and ominous. I like how the vocals aren't straight out in your face, makes them more mysterious. The listener has to listen more closely and isn't that what we want as music producers? Cool track.
Hey, Wayne! Thank you so much for listening and your comments. I hope we can move forward, Divady hasn't been logged in as of yet, so the ball is in his court. Fingers crossed!
The real Space Jam! Well done fellas, such a cool blend of sounds and effects, live guitars, synths, pads, drums and the kitchen sink. Intro was fantastic and the journey after that was fun, a kaleidoscope for the ears.
You're right, the pella is damn good! I like the "in your face" mix, this song needs that impact. There's good dynamics in the song, some nice changes that build up and bring down the song. And great intro/ending too!
I have no problem with the sitar, hell, George Harrison played them on Beatles albums. I like the track, puts me somewhere in my mind. Nice composition, lots of space in the song, nice breaks. Great percussion and a lot going on, had to give it a few listens to soak it all up.
They sell an electric 6 stringed guitar that sounds like a sitar I've always wanted to buy, someday.
Man, I smiled through the whole song! You fill the whole soundscape with textures and sounds with great effects on them so well, it's always a treat for my ears. Classic strat guitar sound, always loved the rhythm guitar in the r n b and dance tracks from the 70's.
You commented on how simple my song was the other day, this one is so much more complicated with all thats going on, almost the exact opposite, ha! It's all good!! Great job Micky!
Oh, I'm sorry, but this is no Strat but an Epiphone Sheraton – the one that Gallagher used with Oasis. I play just everything with this wonderful thing. You know I need a better wah pedal – my old one is no use. I always wanted a Maestro Boomerang - that's the one Melvin Ragin used. But they're so rare and if you find one you can't afford. I'm sure I can find a modern alternative now that's a bit cheaper.
Your 'simple' song – yeah I'd say simple songs are the royal class. I think in writing music there's nothing more difficult than a simple song. I mean one that's simple YET striking. You come pretty close to that!
Very cool, I've always loves acoustic guitar with a latin flair to it. I agree with Terry, many styles of singing, scatting, spoken word.... would work well with this.
This is nice! Relaxing vibe and I like the mix too. So many audible textures and layers to sink into and float around in. Yeah, so you did your job well, I'm certainly more chilled out than earlier, cool.
I like the amp noise, as a musician it is a sound of expectation of the sound that will soon follow. The Edge would appreciate your use of effects to create space, an atmosphere, a setting, a place to escape to.
hey Wayne, those kind words really hit home. this is about as ‘live’ a recording as i can make, so keeping it real, noises on (noses), warts and all seemed right. i fall for a pun anytime. thanks, dude!
This one certainly makes you want to grab your favorite dancing partner and get your whole body moving and jumping to the beat. All I can picture in my mind are the dancers in Setzer's vid of Louis Prima's song Jump, Jive and Wail going off to this one. Fun song!
Good to see you Leon! Hope all is well in your neck of the woods.
Nice track but I've come to expect that from you, the quality of the composition and the overall production is top notch. Terry mentioned Stevie Nicks. You know, I can almost hear her raspy voice singing over this.
Good to see you too my friend...always a pleasure. I hope we'll see (and listen) each other more often now...:)
Thank you so much for your supportive feedback...means alot !
Well it's great hearing that you are a father and you are getting your chit together, couldn't be happier to hear that. Looperman was a pretty crazy place back then, fun as hell though.
Hey, we all do crazy, stupid and sometimes dumb as shit stuff growing up but that's what makes us responsible adults. Right? lol
Yea this place (looperman.com) has a way more fostering vibe for sound (uploading orphan tracks that just didn't catch). I will be around. Like, this site, it's amateur enough that you can watch children or 50 year olds fuckin around with loops and "get it" alongside people that have greatness but don't care. The power of music. It's certainly different, but aren't we all?
This is all me looping on ableton, every 16th beat it loops via me stomping on a pedal and I can mutilate the sound realtime however. It's all I have known minus cover bands or some garage/punk/metal/park jamsesh.
Firstly, anything regarding cold beer always gets my attention. Friday night jam song, while drinking cold beer. Upbeat, expressive and fun. Sounds like you may have some people adding a few things, look forward to hearing a remix!
I think I have the cold beer blues. I was metal detecting the beach this morning and found a full, unopened beer in the sand....warm. It's in my fridge chilling out now. On a good note, I found enough change to buy a frosty cold one. :)
Hey dude, where ya been? lol It's Abe, isn't it? You're presence has been sorely missed here. Glad to have you posting some acoustic music, sounds live and crisp. 2 players?
Man I miss live music, going out to see people perform. This helps! Keep posting tracks.
Thank you!! Yea man, I had a kid and lived about 10 years lol
I honestly feel a lot of remorse about looperman.com and the shit I said as an arrogant bully towards sound? I was there and possibly was a catalyst for the wipe that changed this site, and I kinda drifted off after that (got way into jazz and post-rock). But my relationship with the mods and my drug abuse generally made my life a nightmare, but by my misfortune I am about 3 years clean now which is awesome!
I believe to grow as an artist/musician/producer, taking a few steps outside your comfort zone, whether it's a new genre, working with artists outside your fav genres... can only benefit you. Looperman is the perfect place to try these ideas out and get some feedback. A lot of pop can be crap but a lot of pop is pretty good too. Listen to Karen Carpenter sing, absolutely one of the greatest pop singers ever. You can't deny the Carpenters "bubble gum" image but the songs were great and still are.
The song is decent, plenty there to enjoy. There's a nice driving beat, a bit subtle but it gives the song a sense of movement and tension while the vox soften it a bit. Cool man!
I'm sure there is something to be learned whether
technically, melodically or rhythmically from all the
genres. I try not to restrict myself to the trends of the
day or a particular genre. Not to say that the trends/genres of today aren't valid but, to not be cut off from the music from of past in all genres, that has influenced and played a huge part in the music of today.
Personally I only see benefit in taking advantage of listening to as much music as possible and seeing the beauty in it.
This is so good! I like the textures, the hi hat is gritty, the low is deep and unassuming, the melodies are great and sweep you away. Nice layering and panning of all the sounds you've created. Well done Altin!
Ah, the destroyer of worlds, Robert Oppenheimer. Recently I've been watching docus about the Manhattan Project and how the scientists felt about the bomb after it was realized it would work at the Trinity test. You've created an ominous and dark mood with this track which fits the situation at the time and how many scientists felt then. Well done!
Kinda reminds me of Nine Inch Nails a bit. Some Trent Reznor vox and I'm all in! Punchy beat and a dark feel to music. Decent mix, loud and in your face. Cool!
Was diggin' this from the first note! The lyrics are simple but say so much. The bass was great. The guitar was tasty as hell. Man you put me in the summer mood and just so happens we are getting summer weather this week.
Cool man, I like that you liked it! Starting the slide into winter here so u enjoy that sunshine. I'm going to ease the transition by drinking more dark beer instead of pale ales !
I thought the intro was great, it set the mood, was a bit cinematic and creepy as hell. The fast parts were a stark difference and got the heart pounding. I like the Children of the Corn 2021 idea, ha!(cream corn this time)
I agree, feels like a chase when it gets going and with the mumbling, it sorta distracts from trying to get away faster.
Well put together idea. Cinematic to me. Would love to hear this performed in a club and get to physically feel the PA pounding.
Thanks you for listening and commenting. I appreciate it!
I started making digital music back around '99. That whole time I have always been told that it sounds cinematic, or "soundtracky". I guess maybe because I use a lot of ambient sounds and audio clips, and I don't generally follow the standard song formula. Who knows? Either way, as long as people like it, I'm okay with it.
"Children Of The Cream Corn: Welcome to the gRave!". Glow sticks and machetes, Pacifiers and scythes!
Thanks again, Wayne. Have a good one, and take care.

But if you overlaid someone like Martin Luther King or Thich Nhat Hanh on top of the music weather it would have the same emotional response.
The instrument selection in some odd way reminds me of the Cars, Moving in Stereo song.
