To me this has an old time feel, smokey jazz club, late at night. The drums are updated and there is some nice stuff going on in the background to keep me listening closely. Love that muted horn sound!
Hey Wayne - thanks for listening mate - always love your stuff and that you keep working across the genres so looking forward to hearing your next one - cheers
Sorry but I'm not much up on the trance genre, don't listen to much of it. I can say I did enjoy the track though. Driving beat, catchy arpeggiated/delayed melodies spread throughout the track. Nice mix, I can hear all the elements clearly.
This is some cool, long haired, hard rock band shit! The wah wah pedal is a great one, a classic! Metallica, Black Sabbath come to mind as I listen. Would love me some Hetfield or Osbourne vox on this.
First thanks for taking the time to listen and comment. It means a lot.
I take it as a giant compliment that Sabbath and Metallica come to mind. Those two bands, I think I can honestly say, are two of the bands that had the most impact on my musical tastes. I would actually like to hear some Ozzy vocals over this, too. But it has to be 70's Ozzy.
Thanks again, brother. I appreciate it.
Take care.
Aaron.
Pretty interesting track, like the concept! So that's the author reciting it? The music is impactful, goes well with the topic. Sax was a cool addition.
"And an invisible chicken in every pot", ha, great line!
Hey Wayne - thanks for listening mate - yeah thats Charles Bukowski reading his poem of the same name (whilst getting drunk - he was somewhat infamous with the booze) - he is writing about the rain in the depression ... hence the line but yeah its a good one
I would work on some of the levels of the backup singing, the first half seems a little soft and the 2nd half seems a bit loud. You can see the difference in the waveform. Just a suggestion.
Well that was different! Text to voice synth? Interesting. The voice sounds like something from star wars. The words were cool and with that effect on them it really went well with the sounds and effects you created.
I've come to expect a "no holds barred" type of approach to your music, which always makes a listen an experience. Thanks!
The drum track jut meanders along, doing it's own little jazzy thing. I like the way the bass and keys work together. Interesting vocals/spoken word track.
If you go back into this, the one adjustment I would make is to add just a bit more reverb to the vox and lower the volume a bit to make them sit in the mix a little better, to me they stick out front a wee bit. I have issues with getting the volume right on my vocals all the time, it's hard.
Hi Wayne, thanks a lot! That smiling faces song is a real gem. There's a great sound to a lot of those 70s recordings that I don't think we can emulate any more. And the stone roses of course, love their extended jams and sound.
Cool, dark themed track. Reminiscent of some metal around when Sabbath was king. I hope you get some vocals from dimestop! Some awesome git loops in there.
I like mixes that sound like the person is performing the song rather than it sounding like an overly produced studio recording. The singing reminds me of someone but the name escapes me. Cool, I like it!
Cool composition and mix! Loved the vocal parts, wished there were more. To me it has that late 80's, early 90's progressive/alt rock feel to it. I liked the toms/drum parts, impactful during a change in the song. Well done, quality work!
Although this is cool on it's own, I agree with others, a proper vocal track would be the next level for this track, great! Guitar sounds fine. Fake it till you make it!
Hey Leon! Hope things are going well for you and yours.
Beautiful track, acoustic guitar and piano make such a nice sound together. Then add some strings and a few sound effects, pads and such and the song blossoms into an expansive soundscape for the ears to swallow up, digest and enjoy!
Hey Wayne...how's going? In terms of these weird times things are going relatively (and surprisingly) well over here...catching some more composing time lately..:))
Thank you so much for your supportive feedback and a 'fav'...always a pleasure !
Cool, chilled out track. Reminds me a bit of the end of a song called Atom Tan by the Clash. There is some neat stuff going on, subtle vox, sounds like some things are backwards, and cool effects. Creative!
Thanks Wayne - I'll check that out cant remember that tune
I think there is only one small reversal on one part of of the 8 or more layers of guitar but the main parts of the tune repeats two and half or so times. My guitar playing is pretty rough but multitracking and effects allows some cheating : )
haha thanks for the kind words! I was thinking of the repetitive riff when giving entering a title! i'm glad you enjoyed it and appreciate your time! cheers!
This one is a mix of genres but it all seems to come together nicely. Those growly sounds are neat. There is also an intensity about the music that I like. I liked the "robot" vocals. ;)
I spent the morning running around so when I got the chance to sit down for a few minutes and listen to this it really chilled me out and it's much appreciated. You have this style of music perfected, it's hard to find any flaws. From the musicianship to the mix, darn sweet!
Thankyou Wayne, I always feel like mission accomplished when a track makes a listener feel better. If you ever hear what you feel is a flaw in my track, don't hesitate to let me know. No artist is perfect. Thanks for stopping by. PEACE. T576 OUT.
Thankyou Wayne, for the comment and listen. You know how some productions seem to write them self, this was one. And you're correct about the r n b feel at the second half of the track. I think up to that part of the track I stopped writing for maybe 2 weeks or so. When I got back to it the r n b feel happen. One of my main concepts of writing is don't force creativity. Thanks again. PEACE. T576 OUT.
I miss the days of jamming with a band, sounds like fun! Where is the singer, c'mon, with all that talent none of you knew a singer with an afternoon off? ;) That would have been the icing on the cake cuz this was a tasty treat!
We are called THE FIVE MISTER MEANERS. Mr. Gary, our vocalist was not available and I sound like an alley cat on steroids.
We are just a bunch of old guys Wayne. No real studio to speak of like the good old days in my fathers garage.
If I ever get ahold of Mr. Gary, the singer, and 5th guy, I will drop in his raspy and rusty vocals. He does know how to get online so I hope he does not see this.
Until Team Time, Cheers!

This was a lot of fun to listen to, great one Micky! To me it has that late 70's feel to it, r n b mixed with disco, the Spinners come to mind. Your vocals sounded great as well. Upbeat and well mixed!
Warm feeling mix, nice bass tones. A great song to get behind the wheel of a car and take it for a long, fast drive. Positive feel to the track, up lifting. Sweet track, nice mix!
Muchas gracias Wayne, me alegro que te haya gustado el tema, te agradezco tus comentarios, después de una pista ácido e buscado algo más tranquilo. Que tengas un buen día compañero. salud y paz para todos.
