Everything about this is huge, from the line up to the finished article, what a way to go! dig the narration alongside the hidden vox effect, great production and arrangement... super track!, thanks for sharing good quality music, gotta download for future listens. cheers.
Hey Salook..thanks man, that effect is a mirror track of Slap's narration dropped one octave...just bubbles along softly underneath..cheers mate and thanks for the great review! Dave :)
Ahh this is so cool man, melodica is awesome, the whole arrangement of the piece is just marvellous, well written and really well performed, can just sit and ponder throughout this joyfully, looking through the pane glass as the rain bounces from it..love it! thanks for sending a copy via email, straight to the mp3 player! much appreciated my friend and waiting for more. cheers.
Hey Elaine, hearing a lot of tracks featuring your spoken words recently, its cool to hear all the different techniques and ways they are incorporated, works well as an intro here... yeah this gets my freak going! Sweet yet ghost like. dig it.
Hey good to hear from you. I actually made this track a while ago but could never quite get it how I wanted it and I'm still not 100% sure. I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for taking the time to listen :)
Elaine
Nice, funny, its AM here, so its went from twilight to sunrise, seems I picked the right order and time to come check your latests, massive fan of your dub work brother its so obvious in your music that its something you have embraced and grasped, another demonstration of how its done! big love Bred, keep coming with your vibes. peace.
So dig the basement Jazz tip intro as you know, drums are just awesome, feels like it is taking you somewhere else before it takes a corner into a Helter Skelter of warped goodness..as I suspected sounds so different listening again, organic and alive, such a trip my man. faved.
Yeah, cool title, grew up in a household full of Star Trek fans, we used to have a lurcher dog named Saavik, miss that dog, amazing how the fictional technology in the old Star Treks are actually a reality today, nothing is impossible aye,...there's that Nintendo sound again, man you sure know how to turn out a fun track, strange Ska feel to this which is hard to put my finger on, cool old school breakbeat..defo makes you want to bounce, nice one man.
Cool, Good to know my wife and I aren't the only die hard Star Trek fans left in the world! You're right, I think star trek influenced so much technology that we take for granted today. Glad you found the track bouncy! Thanks for yet another review!
This is a strong piece to my ears, raw and energetic, subtle glitch in the hats really works for me as does the euphoric strings, panflute is a really nice touch and changes up the track nicely, crisp quality production, awesome stuff man, fav and download. thanks
High octane!, have to check out 'subsport', some really great sounds he has supplied here, mix sounds brilliant, really good arrangement...listening on the phones just now and its really happening man, good sound placement and the vocals are far out! really enjoyed this..hope you guys are planning on doing more. cheers.
Glad you liked it friend! Yes, you should definitely check out subsport, he's been one of my faves on Looperman for quite a while! Thanks for your comments on the mix! Yeah we're in the process of working on another track, so stay tuned! Thanks for the review and fave!
Brother, massive fan of Avanaco and used this same pella...gotta say, the way you have incorporated it into this style is so sweet.I ain't a big trance music fan but this gets the right away from me..you had me itching for that beat and I wasn't disappointed when it arrived....full track man and for a first stab at the genre...can't fault ya!...keep doing your thing bro. peace.
Still listening lol...sweet transformation man..faved.
Salook-
I'm glad you liked it. I know you posted your reply (and the two below) before I adjusted the description. So yeah, it is a powerful song for me. I am so glad you favd it, too. That means alot. Glad to see you around bud! peace
Wow, this feels like the old days on the loop, haven't seen Frenchkid around these parts for a long while and there he is checking you out!...love that dude.
Another tough sound from you..beautiful and uplifting techno fusions, you really have grabbed a sound of your own, dig the drops into the basement and how the track creeps on you, really feel it crawl up my skin, love your style...had to listen more than once and download, really is feel good music, good for the benevolent.
Yep, it's still the same old Looperman I know and love, without a doubt!
I have this strange obsession with making music that can somehow be 2 things at once... like hard/soft songs, things like that, lol.
And yeah, originality has always been one of my most important goals; There are thousands of Tiesto wannabe's out there, but only one Koukotsu! (I hope, anyway, lol.) You do quite an excellent job when it comes to delivering new and exciting sounds as well!
Thanks a bunch for reviewing, it makes me feel good to know that my music is feel good music!
Man, Eshar always does your materials/samples justice and then some, big fan of your drum work man, always so fresh and real, you need to look out a track for me to remix, listening to this track I can tell it was fun, yeah dinosaurs are fascinating, I remember back in the early days of school it was all dinosaurs and space, preferred that to religious studies.
Downloading for the MP3 player..really need to be getting myself an Ipod though....beautiful track, comes to a sudden stop but ain't complaining just gotta play it again and soak in the goodness once more, thanks for sharing. cheers.
This is quality man, love the jazzy trip hop feel, agree with spivkurl, inspiring work, would have easily been happy to listen to another 5 minutes of this, so good!, hope you going to post more music soon man. cheers.
Yeah, this is pretty tough, digging the hats and cymbal splashes, timings are spot on, noticed this also in your track 'Fluff'...love the modulation on the snare sound, some more higher synth or string sounds might work a treat to balance out the deepness but I dunno sounds real nice to me.
I will definitely try those suggestions out! It would probably work better than my current approach, lol. Currently, it gets to the halfway point, then erupts into this ear-shattering "apocalyptic death synth" sound, lol.
It's cool but most people probably wouldn't get it, lol. I'll have to let you hear it one of these days!
Thanks for stopping by, I'll leave you some more reviews when I get the spare time tonight!
When I first saw the title, I automatically thought about my belly button lol
Love the soft textures here and the padded beat, has a mellow trance feel to it also, cant find any criticism except make it longer but I see you already pointed that out, yeah could have easily listened to an extended version, again the melodies you create are just awesome, hope in time you plan on putting up some loops.
Glad you liked it! I immediately think of lying down and staring into the clouds when I hear this one... not belly button lint, lol!
I do plan on putting up some loops real soon, .wav and .rex2 files. The only problem I have is that my synth tracks depend soooo much on effects, they sound terrible without them! I'll just have to remember to point that out I guess, or render only the previews with effects.
Thanks for listening, it's always good to hear your thoughts and ideas!
Hey Koukotsu, so great to see the Queen of melodies back on the loop, listening to this track it feels like you have never been away...if someone else posted this track, I would have immediately thought of you, seriously its your sound as I remember it...pure MIDI!!....Looking forward to more of your work. peace.
This is just brilliant Ark! man with each track of yours I feel you rising through the levels, don't stop until you go through the roof!! great choice and execution of the pella..deep, moody and excellent, will download the 320 from SC when I am on next, keep up the experimenting brother. cheers.
Sifting through your collection and stumbled on this one that seems to have been tucked away from vision, some classic fusion work here and a prime example of your early developments into the huge tracks you produce now, dig the constant roller coaster feel....traditional meets Cyber punk?, also has the predatory feel you are so great at capturing, this one claws and bites..would be ideal for a remix this one, great vibe. faved.
In the olde days, it was particular forms of mushrooms that provided the technology for Shamanic work. Now it's Max MSP - lol. I must admit a certain amount of ambivalence listening to this one now, but will admit this early stuff was what kicked me out of my prejudice about DAWs and sample based music. Your comment about the "predatory feel" made me remember the old, old version of the film Jungle Book, and Mogli holding up the knife and saying, "see? I'm a man now. I have a tooth." Pointy teeth, that's me. Cheers my younger Celtic brother!
Nice production work my man, listening on the phones and the placements are sweet, awesome beat and Dub bass, love the vocals also, adds to the whole chilled out smoothness to the track, defo a fav, good show man.
Another easy to remember title lol, another fab track buddy, big fan of Anime and alividlife so a winning combo for me, hats are brilliant!! could easily listen too and enjoy an extended version of this. cheers
Yeah... I dunno if it's too flamboyant. Too much crap on this.
I wish I could just let you chill in my studio and write it for me, or at least work with you.
Hell man, if I could send all the parts I would right now. Personally I am battling with the levels on this. I like a really solid low-end, and I have tried layering stuff but meh. Meh.
I think MONO is going to be the route I take... I really wanted to get a stereo bass on this..
You rock my face Salook!!!!!!!!!
I like Japan, I watch Anime.
It's what I do.
Beautiful rising soundscape which also took me to the depths of the ocean, exploration music right here, nice soft textures on the phones listening cant help but relax close my eyes and see the varied coloured patterns. nice job, enjoyed this very much defo a fav, thanks for sharing. peace.
Hey Spivkurl, really digging this number, a lot heavier than the first attempt at the genre but not too heavy, the keys giving a lighter contrast, Bass work is awesome here and the dub snare keeps it moving forward, enjoyed the listen. cheers.
Cool! It's so good to get some feedback from you! I'm glad you like this one, I think it's a little better than my first try at the genre! Thanks much for your review!
Yeah man, sounds so good right now, man you must have one twisted mind lol
