Wow, man I dunno what you done since the first upload or what state of mind I was in when I first heard it but damn, right now, my face dropped when those drums kicked in, something octane about them, awesome pristine production oozing knowledge, posted as chill out..I'm sure it was cinematic before,,not sure but doesnt matter, still classic cinematic vibes I'm getting and I dig the whole Piece.
Seems there is some interesting history behind the Rhodes, I'll be sure to investigate.
Haha, yeah man... This one is cool....
But you should totally check out my new one, screw this track,... (even tho you are correct... something that I always toy with, and I think I learnt it from MrE from this site, is.... I will update tracks, here and there, whateva, you know?
Constantly changing things and watching the reaction from the crowd)
But yea..
The Fender Rhodes, is a fascinating instrument... A lot of the time you hear it in RnB and chill-out style tracks, but in reality it is basically a piano electric guitar. They call it "tines".
A Fender Rhodes MkII runs about $3,000 dollars circa the 70's production line.
I fuuuuucking love a fender rhodes. It's the ... most visceral, and pissed off sound I have ever heard. In my crazy opinion.
Harlod Rhodes built the first Rhodes instrument for injured soldiers who were dying or hurt in WWII. Being it could be small, and use pickups, and tons of steel strings, to create the sound, it was a nice fit. It wasn't bulky like a piany and could be moved to fit the soldier.
This is a cracking piece of cinematic music, definitely captures an elevated and drifting feeling, space is a lonely place for the Omega astronaut...great visual track, faved and a definite download, great track to unwind to, thanks for sharing, will be sure to check out more of your musical offerings. cheers.
Sorry for the late reply. Thanks for coming by and listening. The Omega Astronaut, where the hell was that title when I was working on this track lol. I'm sure if I rip off Matheson someone might be on to me. Thanks for the review, Cheers :D
Man you always nail some cracking titles, 'old blackfoot dub'...class ;)
Excellent dub, dig the old school MIDI sounds, there's me going on about MIDI again lol, you defo got this old school kinda arcade sound going down with this, hard to put my finger on it...fecking love it what ever it is man, I'll be checking the Arkhives for 320s ;)
This is Awesome Abe, love all those interferences..kinda gets you jumping...8 hrs work?...back in the Zone ;)drums and pads are amazing, the arpeggio guitar?...gives off a twilight cinematic touch for me, love it man, faved...now i'm going shopping for drum loops ;)
Thanks!!!
heh, I was all the way in this one when I saw yer review, and I was like DAMNIT!!! I hoped he would get to hear the string work I did!!
lol
Yeah I just spent all day playing this effing piece of crap violin, and I am soooo rusty.. Man I really need to get back to BASICS man.
sigh
Definitely twilight yea.... it's weird.. that's actually probably my favorite instrument, a Fender Rhodes.
It was a toy developed by this injured soldier during world war II.
I find it very visceral as a mallet/organ instrument. And to everyone else, they think smooth/jazz/pretty lol
While I think in my head Anger/Rage/Revenge.
Weird.
Anyway
Yeah, thank you man, I have been getting back in the zone a little... I just updated it with a cool middle-eastern toned string section in C ionian.
back for more wrecking....this is brilliant man, this is why you gotta love looperman, don't know what treat lays behind that play button...digital states of Consciousness ;) keep it up. cheers.
Wut up Salook! lol glad u checked this one out. That was real cool what you said man. Thanks much. sorry 4 the delay..:)I'll be swinging around your tracks to c what new stuff u may have up soon..
I liked this man, had my head bopping..dubstep from the mind of CrashTheSystem....excellent drum and bass mash up man, more people need to hear this, excellent job. faved
this is very cool work man..querky odd but yet makes sense..love spatial awareness atmospheres...enjoyed the dubby transitions in the second half of the track...yeah far out tune man...enjoyed the experience.
Man, now I wanna pull out the DMC championship dvds..cool to come across something like this...can't beat a good wreckage.. sounds like you got a flair for it man..now you need to upload scratch loops for me to download ;)
Five reviews Five faves..worth checking out....this is impressive work man..very creative and original in its own rights...interesting listen..thanks for that.
Man I remember myself and a few mates hitting a pub on the outskirts...we took over the jukebox...we decided what was gonna get played lol until a group of metal head bikers passing through gatecrashed the pub...big hairy dudes lol...so one of them proceeded to the jukebox and we gladly stepped aside...thinking we were gonna get bombarded by death metal music grabbed our coats...man we were so wrong, they were pumping out Aphex Twin, drum and bass music....we proceeded to get drunk with them lol
So yeah to conclude..metal heads got good tastes...man I have heard this before and its still wicked...awesome fusion of sounds combining to make a solid track...nice come down outro...serenity in death??
Yes thank you! Hey man, make more music!! I miss yer style lol
ahh, but to explain further, at the time that I wrote this, I was just getting thru the first few months of being offa the hard drugs, so in a way, it was the death of certain attributes, ideas, and habits. Me dropping the bottle and running and the beast in the background?... yea kinda stupid and cheesy lol.. but it meant a lot to me at the time?..
OH, btw,.. Something that I have been struggling with, and I know I kinda fell off there for a bit (i do often lol) but you know.. I really miss how you get people together and create music-- you know?.. With this whole digital thing.. I am getting very frustrated, because .. I already KNOW how everything is going to sound, or how I want it too... I really miss the live synergistic context .. jamming man...
Loops and collabs here and there are really all I am truly interested in lately.
Stick at it man, always room for improvements...first proper Hiphop track you say...good job for sure..seems you guys got into and had fun with this one..what its all about man, good show.
Some vocals would be good but as an instrumental itself, you should pursue on the extended version, the eastern vibe works well with the structure you have created...would love to hear more...go for it man.
Digging the chill out vibe of the percussion here, sounds like the perfect backdrop for those vocals....sweet voice....sweet track, great chill out track man.
Phenomenal! Great move in getting Nauda for the recitement...perfectly tasteful and gives the track a theatre feel...great use of the effects on the vox also....awesome mix Sean always admire how you speak about creative ideas and put them into action....listening to you speak about the whole idea and concept of this piece then hearing it come to form like this is mindblowing!
Saving my nerves for the post-edited version, scarily good.
Thanks so much for inadvertently sending this one down the appropriate path! Truly pipes are the secret ingredient in the TechnoShamanistic evocation of rEvolution. So much so, that I can't even imagine this one anymore without them. Probably musical and cultural heresy, but timely. Thanks again!
Good show Neil and so glad you were able to retrieve this track and share it on the loop, sounds real nice man...vocals alongside the guitar parts are a treat to the ears...you guys captured something special with this one. respect.
Yeah what would a rebellion music project be without bagpipes, amazing how you have fused the past with the present here...the sonic movements and the way they make you dance is new....almost like following the piper up the hill twirling and spinning on the way up...very Psychedelic and makes you want to look upto the sky and embrace life....very powerful track man can't wait for you to finish this piece.
Too many buttons and knobs - lol. I'm really tempted to tease out more of the psychedelia with the next version, especially in the gated set of canters. Something about the sounds swirling around together that's really magical to me. Thanks so much for your assistance with this one - having you on the editorial staff is a profound joy. Let's start thinking collab again.
Like the track description, well suited to the piece, feels like my hands and feet are mutating webs and I am turning into aqua man, cool beat transition, some quality sound work man, enjoyed this very much, defo fav. cheers.
Can never get sick of this beat man...again this gets me moving, the breakdowns are neat to me and in the 'Now' after finding out the order of the tracks the outro of this piece seems perfect for the introduction into Ham radio...each track almost a prelude into the next and it works for me...great work with melding the percussions..the ambience make the track wide opening listening also.
Thanks again for the collab and so glad you accepted the offer of doing so....dabbling with the Mardi Gras vibe and fusing the African percussion with your Apache drums seems distant now and the way it has evolved since then has been a treat to witness.
Dude... it turned out pretty good. I appreciate the work you've put into this collaboration as well. I believe that all three were influenced by the ground work YOU laid down. From some stuff sitting in the closet into three..count em'..three great variants of the the same formula. This collab has introduced me to a different way to not only hear but listen to the music as well. Not to be braggadocios... but I believe we all did right by the music. Glad you dig the track bro. THAT'S what's up.
Wow man listening to this again after such a long time, worth leaving another review....become very familiar with your style over the last year which to me... considering 'Music to have a rebellion to' has mellowed since this early material..though the chaos is still there in your present work ...it seems more controlled....here we have pure uncut furiousness which could easily be the representation of a furious hippo hell bent on bringing chaos to a village...the whole context of the piece listening now gives me those animated images.....within the madness of this track is some excellent sound work man...and it is Dub!
In the mood for listening to more from the man...and there are some classic tracks to choose from.
Yeah, jahknow called it way back when, didn't he? It's dub totally removed from the Jamaican Reggae spices, but remains unadulterated Dub nonetheless. Raw, ferocious and ultimately danceable. Same stream, different gyrations. Cheers!
Yeah this is one for the headphones for sure...glitch beat introduction is awesome and brings a stepping movement to the flow.. digging the deep rising pads also...easy to drift away listening to this one man...enjoyed the swim. peace.
Well titled this track, the sun definitely came out to play the day this was recorded..the scratching gives the track a fun element and the overall vibe a playground kinda innocent feel...good job.
This is a good collab for sure, not huge on rock music but this gets the right away with me, production quality is sweet and the texture of the instruments spot on and easy on the ears..good piece of music my man....looking forward to your collab with simmerdown...keep up the good work bro.
Thank you Salook,AllenV is one of the best guitarists in site, this track would be sounded so horrible without allen and his guitar, thanks to him, the track turned out ok!

And jesus crap look at the tuning forks midway!!! Argh... so elegant and effective.
I love this instrument.
It is basically an electric guitar but a piano.
Love yer new avatar mayne.
