Hi Jynxz! Thank you very much, mein Herr!
To hear that from the greatest tamer/trainer of musical material means that with this song I didn't spoil the test completely ...
Stay healthy and keep producing and uploading,

Wie gehts FunkRick,
I love everything about this track except...
The Bass needs more bottom. At first I thought one of my headphone channels went out.
I think if the Bass had a wider deeper presence this would be an unstoppable hit
in my opinion.
Great track.
Yeah... It's a Funky tune! @ 3:10 it really got real.
I almost never listen to a whole track. I've enjoyed this track several times today.
BTW...Are you too young to remember Gino Vannelli(Mama Coco)or Tower of Power (What is hip) anything Sly Stone? Oh yeah, Graham central station.
If you get a chance youtube it. Ton of ideas.
Thank you Jynxz, appreciate your comment. I am not too young grew up with them in the late 70s and 80s all of them do still inspire me. Really got into Return to Forever and Herbie etc too. Cheers Rick
This track has a Minnie Ripperton (RIP) Patrice Rushen vibe. The arrangement and execution is flawless. Background music and vocals are top shelf. It doesn't get any better than this.
I've been listening to the 3 pages of "Featured" tracks and this track kept my attention. I like your approach at different rhythms and timing along with a satisfying melody. The arranging and editing is top shelf.
I don't know how this track slipped through the cracks, it's a JAM! It should have a million hits. If you keep showing up like this, it won't be for nothing.
PEACE...
This is the first track I've listened to all day today, (and I've been on the site for hours) from beginning to end and loved every minute of it! The composition is off the chain, the execution was perfect. Keep up the good work. BTW... What part of Chi? I'm SOUTHSIDE! (Markham).
Hey Bro! My name is Wendell and 'Windycity' is my nick name.
I'm in SF Bay Area in CA. Thanks for the comment and the listen. I know it must be freezing where you are in Chicago:)
I love this track. I think I would recognize your music anywhere. You've built a powerful musical style. I like the way you blend in occidental sounds without making the track too busy.
Thanks a lot for the comment. I think I still haven't got round to answering some of your other comments elsewhere. My apologies.
Not too busy? Ha, I do sometimes go overboard with that so have to mix very carefully and remove clutter. Always good to hear it's not too busy as I like things to be busy and constantly interesting and progressive. But not cluttered. Unless it's just for a short time, for effect.
"I think I would recognize your music anywhere."
That's excellent and probably one of the main things I set out to do when I started producing my own music 20 years ago.
I love the guitar solo "Van Halen" style, the low note the singer hit came out of nowhere with perfect pitch, being a baritone I can really appreciate his chops.
