hey BB, well yes i was drifting along and the groove quickly intensified, then out of a brief respite this agonized, alarming voice. i’m shaken awake, alone. damn, this is a very convincing song, man. you’re really flexing out your sounds and it’s clear you’re enjoying it, and i thank you for sharing it, bud.
THIS IS IT!! i just attended the best best music festival of the decade playing this backtobacktoback man you pulled me into atoms spinning round in your droplets now that’s getting personal but anyways big hugs to you and danke for gifting us with this.
you brought it alright, mate!
thankyou so much Mike to read a comment like that is delightful for both me and Danke. i commented on his instrumental and 25 mins later the song was wrote, it spoke to me somehow, probably the least likeliest collab a rocker metal head and a rapper who is political, but it worked, we both had a part to play and i personally believe we delivered, am i moving musical direction, have i sold out, the story continues.....my biggest thanks go to Attila though for giving me the opportunity to lets say act grown-up for for once, singing lead vocal on a proper rock bands work, how many can tick that of their bucket list :))
well i like the title so i gave it a spin, glad i did. i love what happens to the guitar sample. the instruments and developments are fantastic, the horns in the last section kept the track rising. much respect, man
hello amigo, you know mate you come back from doing time in hell and here you are peeling back another layer. thanks for sharing this and for being with us again you ##### #####, damn this is like getting to me. ace.
Hey there Man, sorry for late reply and happy belated thanksgiving hope all is well still working off a crappy laptop buut will be around. cheers for the listen i told you id get the old band songs up lol like a snale i am again cheers forthe listen. Cyber oot
story of my life ha. you’re firing on all cylinders for all the negativity and beautiful snottiness. i was thinking richard hell and the voidoids, waiting for a quine solo when in steps the theremin, yeah man that works! it’s all rock and roll, dude. hope this finds you in good fortune, wayne!
hey there Chris! i guess doors comparisons are bound to accrue to headtrips like this, i guess it’s a good reference point, but it’s doors as recorded for flying nun, unheard music indeed. til now, mate. it’s a godawful and glowing moment at 2.00 or so when the swamp git enters the picture. you sing like a disillusioned dead-eyed sting. the singing becomes incantatory by the 2nd verse and the instruments become heat shimmers above the rhythm. the blade-runner ref skews this nicely as well. haunted strange and visionary.
Ah you're too kind as usual but still your insights are on the money. Though the the SciFi reference in the lyrics was more William Gibsons Neuromancer (one of my all time favourite books) than Bladerunner. Similar vibe tho. As for the swamp guitar, that was me getting angry at my lack of chops on that instrument and inability to get a decent solo down. So I used that frustration anyway, kind of an anti-solo solo lol. Och aye .
hello Mickey. this is identifiably you, but still a bit of a departure. the arrangement is tight but roomy, it’s easy to follow the instrument parts and echo Paul the bass is ace!
nice switch up from rnb to dance at the beginning. the vox are a treat, retro but contained — i was half expecting it to get really emotive, so the minimalist closing was a cool twist. your arrangement makes the most of the brief run-time. i’m diggin it!
Thanks, Stokes! The minimalistic closing may be temporary. I'm going to up the dance factor on this and make it a bit more catchy when I get some more time.
hi Micky, love how you back up the glossy surface with ingenious interlocking parts that ##### jump and that tasty gtr. you use your voice to great effect — always wondered, do you use any processing or is that your natural falsetto?
Hi Michael, yes this is my natural falsetto. Some also know me as Klaus Nomi... LOL. Thank you for listening and your flattering comment. Cheers, Micky
Julio, good to hear you! i love the track as a whole, it’s a big-ass sound, beautifully designed and played with fire. i dig the vox a lot, like to thimk i woulda easily caught on that it’s a robot, but even tho you gave it away i was surprised by the sound. there’s some uncanny valley stuff happening in the phrasing that is way cool.
hello T. the background music gives you a nice range to explore, though you are always in the zone. i love when a player makes it sound like playing is a breeze, it’s that pleasure makes you just nod and smile all the way through. always a delightful trip, bud!
Thank you x, for the stop by always. I can tell you really listen to music when you listen. The background music is the blue print when I do this kind of Smooth Jazz. It gives me room to stretch out and create more feeling for the listener. Your ears are on point. thanks again. PEACE. T576 OUT.
i hear that bumblebee scream, all right. beautiful tones abound. what a fine tune, sad but thrilling like the scent of her perfume.
i’m scraping a few bucks together for a ‘new’ used guitar and you’ve become a big influencer for les with yer delivery on this!
great hearing you, Wayne!
I never write the words out before I start singing, I just get an idea for the lyrics, hit the red button and start singing. Sometimes lines like "i heard a bumble bee scream" come out of nowhere. I don't know what it means but i liked it and left it in, he.
Good luck on your guitar safari. I paid $650 at Sweetwater for my Epiphone "inspired by Gibson" 60's Les Paul Standard which I think is a steal for these gems. Gibson has had some rough times lately and putting out an Epiphone that's pretty darn close to their Gibson line will get people, like me who doesn't want to pay 3 grand for a Gibby, to buy them. Plus all the vids on yt are nothing but praise for these. Keep me updated on your new git.
Hullo Paul, it’s an hour before sunup here, but you’ve already brought the true light of day to me with this lovely tune. you and Matthias express a sadness i think most of we the living have to bear, and in articulating it make it a less lonely burden. you always connect, mate. hope things are all well brother.
cheers for the listen Mike, unexpected loss is something that you never really get over, tragic loss always leaves questions, bottling it up is the worst thing tho, be open it is less of a burden, others become more open then, yes of course you have to move on, you carry the scars, be proud of them , dont hide
