hello. i like ashes so i tuned in and man this is really killer, i think the most original setting i’ve heard with her vox. you got the chemistry right
calculating stuff, indeed. i wanted a blowout to occur but you keep it under wraps and i respect that. i dig the detail and control at work in this here autobiowav.
Hey man, thanks for taking the time to check out my work. I think alot of us here take that time to lift each other up, and it's great to see. Not everyone hears the details/small things, I'm always hyped when someone does. Thanks for the kind words, my friend.
ace track Paul, your delivery keeps getting more assured and the vocal overdubs on this are subtle and really cool! production’s ace i like this style and tempo. haha you always leave em floundered mate!
Thank you, my friend. Sometimes it seems to me that I live in a madhouse, there are a lot of crazy people around, maybe they are hypnotized through the TV?)
hey Eric, what a collab! it’s a good balance between epic and intimate, the instrumentation and production are top notch. the first synthpop section is my fav — has kinda a kate bush thing that morphs into a titanic starship thing. massive track, your efforts show.
Hi, Xstokes! Thank you for the kind words on this track. You get the prize for recognizing the inspiration for that first section of the track. It was definitely Kate Bush. Actually “Cloudbusting”. I found a patch in one of my VSTs that really reminded me of that track, and just started from that to build the instrumental backing. And, to my credit, this was well before the world rediscovered Kate Bush because “Stranger Things” had used one of her tracks. She has always been one of my favourite artists, and remains so.
from the get the strings enveloped me in a wave of deja vu. it’s a magical piece, a fiercely expressionist portrait of someone we’ve all passed by beneath a streetlamp on a bridge somewhere.
Hey Mike - thanks mate - it's a somewhat forlorn mood, an atmosphere imbued by a sense of loss and days gone by, that I was connecting with in this one. Started with striking some harmonics on the open tuned taylor and built up from there with multi-tracking and various treatments (as is my habit)
love the crazy spectral vibes. the shiver in my spine, really. sounds of a distant dream. playing is absolutely right on, the spare bass id really effective in suspending the beautiful shapes of the keys, while the vox grate thru my forehead into my brains.
excellent riff on dnb. the organ and bass have a terry riley ecstatic thing happening the guitar and drums fairly whirl around. great, summoning sounds.
