Thanks! Had to look up who you were talking about, had no idea, lol. Checked out some of his material, i heard a hint of why you would mention him. The only thing is, he knows what he's doing. :)
love the yodeling in the intro and outro! righteous, BLu, you give voice to many of us, even who haven’t had the extremes of life thrown at them like you’ve had. there is a phrase to describe this behavior: grace under fire.
thank you very much :) the yodeling is part of my german heritage and you have to drink a lot Beer on Oktoberfest. I have a different live than others but we all life in this setup world, 100 years of money and grieves destroyed our hearts. i was grown up in a hippy village ,very alternative, when tey tell me stories about 70-90´s is different than my generation. i get sad. Now i just let it all out in my closet with a mic inside.
hello — man i really dig how you arranged and chopped the sample vox, and your wide keys are a great accompaniment. it’s nice to a ‘restrained’ drum track, too, and it suits the track. after a few listens, this became a lot fuller sounding than at first, and i really like the minimalist approach. but if i’m missing anything, it’s a bass, just to give a bottom to the melody.
hello Roberto! this has my head spinning, it’s dark, infernal engine drills right into me! i’m glad i am no longer driven to capture the nightlife at the peril of my soul (that’s big exaggeration).
but as shakespeare would say of that crowd:
They believe that when they shuffle off this mortal coil their souls will become stars
hey BLu, more conjure music! love the beat-and-drone, it’s really entrancing - the prowler bass is so loose and electric and fucking dark - and the raw conviction in the vox really nails it. i dig the mix a lot, it does not call for sheen.
Thank you very much xstrokes. I really love your voice work too. I hope there will coming more. There is so much joy in the world and sheen is fuck up but he knows how to party.
a very touching piece, the changes were really effective in heightening the emotional aspects of the music. my only gripe is i think the strings are a bit too loud in the first half, those beautiful high pno notes got a little swamped.
psyfunk + house, tho i hear d i s c o !! whatever, it’s the gravity-naying groove that grabs hold here. seriously wicked altogether, gents! and them vox fx — mothership!
Thanksalot Sir! Well, the Disco part comes from my side (Micky) because I'm a Disco Boy ("I run to the toilet and comb my hair ...") ;–)
We're glad you've enjoyed it.
hey Ian — happy belated bd! just love the rhythm bed and bass foundation of tune and how the melody stretches over the frame. i too am on the side of bringing the guitar back up somewhat, but besides that i love the lively mix. the trumpets are a really good counter with odarka’s contralto, and the slow strings somehow add a sense of closure to the tune that’s really pleasing. another great outing!!
Hey Mate - was just about to have a listen to a couple more from your back catalogue - great stuff - before I get on with my work for the day - Ill try to pick the best lead bits and bump the volume a bit at some stage
Thanks for the listen and warm feedback : )
wayne! man, does this come together! it dances past like a dream, and all you know is you got possessed for 2 mins. really, all the elements are so well placed the whole is nearly subliminal— example, the low voice in the last few bars. fabulous stuff!
had me right outta the gate, and the vox just, well, soar. echo dimestop, the is a warm vibe to this that’s something special. i really dig your range of interests and what you invest in them, bro!
major disagreement w you re ‘boring’ — your sounds are anything but. your music always contains or is contained by the most super concepts, and realized with real presence. to me this track is perfectly consistent and works well to extend what you’ve accomplished.
i think best use i’ve heard thus far of steelyvibe, too. but i can’t help imagining what a few snatches of dialogue from the film would sound like!
hey Chris, holy shite man, you continue to make the coolest neo-beat music that ever came from a lost continent. this is drenched in history and magic and the loss of utopia. brilliant, utterly. the guitar builds to sublimity and those keys are coral.
Hey man, I love that comment and that you liked it, means a lot. You've put a spring in my step on this beautiful crisp sunny spring day here at the bottom of the lost continent:))
yeah, Wayne! def takes me back to the residents ‘mark of the mole’ trilogy! nice to hear you in boombaxtic mode, sorry bout yer back tho. damn i dig this!! (ms. A beat me to using deep!)

I'm surprised how those low vox came thru the mix, thought they would get lost.

I love the lead, it's a loop actually. It had delay on the loop and I added more. :)
Under 2 minutes and it has an intro, lead and 4 singing parts, lol.
