damn, i immediately flashed on the opening montage of new orleans streets in jarmusch’s down by law. dimensional, tripping version. pseudo’s got a hell of an earwig and your acting out on his suggestion is fantastic!
yeah i was super stoked with his suggestion and work on this. mine is basically derivative of his but slowed down and slightly dubified. thanks man. will email you shortly.
irresistible and damn seemingly effortless ride to the top of the tower of babel — that elevator image combined w the music is pretty haunting!!
great, great stuff!
The top of the Tower of Babel... what a beautiful, pictorial comparison! I've since added a few things, such as an additional rhythm guitar, short bursts of brass and some keyboard sequences ....
nice! ya def captured a itchy feel here. i dig abstract ambient a lot, and i think the drum pattern works really well here, but to me calls out for a bassline to compliment it. but that’s me going back to pil/metal box days!
Thanks for listening. Instrumentals are a good way to blow off steam. I like the idea of a formal bass part. I've asked a friend for a baritone part. The joy of recording.
man when the gtr strobed out at me followed by the laser synths, i knew we were going back into the zone! you have been doing phenomenal work of late, man. outsider psychotronic artfunk at its best!
Psychotronicartfunk! Wow! I hope you don't mind if I use that on my next track. I'm changing the title as we speak. I hope it lives up to it. Thanks.
I learn something new from you guys every time I check out LM.
Hey man I really appreciate your encouragement as well as your listen.
hey M — got me nodding around… looking at my gtr, goddam i’m gonna have to pick that thing back up listening to your stuff! you have the perfect slack, and the nimble bass is a v cool foil.
this put a smile on my face, thanks man! I'm happy to know you enjoyed the track to the point of wanting to pick up your guit! your tracks always have that effect on me! If you ever wanna work on a collaborative idea let me know!
Cheers to you friend!
hello, my friend — this is really majestic stuff! great choice of text, your delivery is very convincing. the tune fucking rocks, the double-loaded drumming is a fantastic sound, and the bridge is a welcome lyrical-sounding respite. excellent!
like it quite a bit! he has a breathy quality to his voice even in the hardest parts that i think add character to the rhymes, and the chorus is on point!
damn, mickey! this is another side of your vox, quite different from the contribution you made on the jynx track. i am really digging these songs and i hope we get more vox outta you now that you started!
this had an honestly entrancing vibe. the way the vox are layered and use of falsetto made me think of shriekback!
Gracias a ti xstokes.
Wayne, that’s a cool lift from boon, rip. songwriting at it’s finest, man, every time. reminds of when alt-country wasn’t just a pose, alas. i love this diamond-in-the-rough.
Boon? Not sure who they are or who he is. I didn't go nuts adding guitars, was thinking of some electric, twangy fills but left it more towards the folk/country side of things.
J-Man!! what a knockout, it’s a cool departure from the star travels sound, but still completely recognizably you two even tho mickey’s not playing on this one. your instrumentation on this really takes the cake, esp that intro, and once you start poppin the bass the groove is insane. the outro section is stellar, i swear i was there that night. standing o’s to both a yez!!
I have a tendency to be more Psychedelic
When I write tracks for myself.
I didn't up till very recently discover that
Micky could sing. I generally use loops and sample
Vocals. When I told Micky I had written a track that
I wanted to sound "Live" He listened to it and said he
could make a Vocal track and do the Mastering on it I told him to "Do his thing" and he did. I'm very happy with the result of this collab.
Thanks for your listen and comments

thank you for listening and praising.
There will certainly be more vocal emissions from me, now that I feel it's not making people sick (hopefully).
