like it quite a bit! he has a breathy quality to his voice even in the hardest parts that i think add character to the rhymes, and the chorus is on point!
damn, mickey! this is another side of your vox, quite different from the contribution you made on the jynx track. i am really digging these songs and i hope we get more vox outta you now that you started!
this had an honestly entrancing vibe. the way the vox are layered and use of falsetto made me think of shriekback!
Gracias a ti xstokes.
Wayne, that’s a cool lift from boon, rip. songwriting at it’s finest, man, every time. reminds of when alt-country wasn’t just a pose, alas. i love this diamond-in-the-rough.
Boon? Not sure who they are or who he is. I didn't go nuts adding guitars, was thinking of some electric, twangy fills but left it more towards the folk/country side of things.
J-Man!! what a knockout, it’s a cool departure from the star travels sound, but still completely recognizably you two even tho mickey’s not playing on this one. your instrumentation on this really takes the cake, esp that intro, and once you start poppin the bass the groove is insane. the outro section is stellar, i swear i was there that night. standing o’s to both a yez!!
I have a tendency to be more Psychedelic

I didn't up till very recently discover that
Micky could sing. I generally use loops and sample
Vocals. When I told Micky I had written a track that
I wanted to sound "Live" He listened to it and said he
could make a Vocal track and do the Mastering on it I told him to "Do his thing" and he did. I'm very happy with the result of this collab.
Thanks for your listen and comments

hey bud, nice to see the positive feedback you garnered here! like cru sez, sometimes it’s just about the listening. the way you approach pellas is something else, man — gifted.
Very much appreciated again!! It's fun doing this stuff, I just, I always wonder when I'm doing it, like, is this at all what they were hearing? I'm I way off base here? But then I'm like who gives a f, do it.
some chord progressions are like platonic ideals, and you’ve put new skin on this one admirably. i love the cycling structure used, the synths are really catchy and wavy, and the gtrs got all the grit i can ask for. i’d love this on a 45!
That means a lot to me coming from a rocker like you. For some time I kept my stuff locked down due to the infamous troll that pops in every now and then on this site.
Muchas gracias amigo xstokes, te agradezco tu apoyo y tus buenos comentarios. Y sí, la vida es dulce sobre todo al encontrarme con personas tan importantes y carismáticas como tú. Que tengas un buen día amigo mío. Salud y paz para todos.
how ya making it, man? this has hella energy, going tribal in the house! bashing beat, electronics an bass sample are on point. damn, man, where’s this been hiding?
truly honored for this complement thank you dude! I sent you an email, not sure if you got it but much love to you and hmu if youre down to collab on something!
hey there, DZilla! you’re really upping your production skills, i hear — great clarity, dynamics, and separation here. not to mention Funk to spare! really beautiful work in the grooves, it’s got that liveliness and spark at every turn, like each chorus and verse highlights another facet. ace!
man, moody-ass well-written pop songs like this just can’t come along often enough, so i’m glad to hear the five-year incubation period is over! the 54 have an awaiting fan.
Thank you so much. The funny thing is that I got sidetracked yet again! I bought land near Joshua Tree last summer and have been making a glampground with my daughter and her boyfriend, and what an adventure that has been. But I have continued to work on these songs, even though they're mastered, by cutting down the too-long ones and figuring out the right groupings. Seeing your comment will inspire me to get back to this uploading to the world business and get it done once and for all, because Sunny War is just amazing. She gave me a treasure when we did this work and i should share it with everyone.
really dig the vox/vox processing! the smaller electronics add touches that really keep my interest, and the main lines are very very chill and enticing!
J-Dubman! too many people drone on about compression, but i must say this compresses so many jams in 3 mins you’ve set a new record in and of that itself. but that it hangs as a masterful composition is the real delight — and i’ll add my own zappa reference here — the backing is that tight and the solo so free but centered, few can really play like that. plus that outro is just supreme, and it calls me back to like ‘welcome’-period santana. awesome!
Wow... It feels like I should be able to say more than Thank you for your encouraging words.
Knowing that my music is music to more ears than just mine is really motivating.
Your references to "Zappa & Santana", two of my all time favorites is icing on the
cake.

thank you for listening and praising.
There will certainly be more vocal emissions from me, now that I feel it's not making people sick (hopefully).
Cheers,
