I agree with Jehobith and Alkie. My bottom line is that you have something pretty damn good, it just needs a bit more attention. I'm a fan of metal, and I like this track very much - great guitar work.
This is a rare piece, what I mean by that is that it is rare indeed to hear a good marriage between classical and metal - this is one of the best if not the best that I have come across.
All hail Asimov ! I Robot was the first I read in the early seventies - big fan of his - he has also written serious scientific books.
I was going through my tracks and found some reviews that I did not reply to- how embarassing. I apologize for that. Thanks for your very kind comments. Asimov has a way of looking at the world which, for me, stimulates creativity- that impact me long after I am done reading. Thanks again for taking the time to review. Kper
I agree with Salkizar about a couple of notes off ( sharp or flat to the main melody key ), and PMF about the bass - more bass please - this is a very good track done in a comparitively short time - but the most important thing is that it put a smile on your face ( and mine ) - You have talent - please continue.
Thanks for the complement. I'm actually Glad I picked this stuff up, I'm really enjoying it.
As for the bass part, and the bit off key parts, I noticed them more once I listen to them on my speakers. I tend to use headphones when I'm working so I can have it really loud, but it really changes once I take those off.
So I think I'm going to start mixing with and without the headphones instead of just with them.
Industrial is one of my favorites. I really like this track. Definitly should be in a video game, just when you deploy a mini gun, or flying as low and as fast as possible...
There's so many terrific items about this track...either you are barking mad or a genius...if both then that's good too...one other thing I going to point out - the flavour kinda reminds me of Bladerunner... I would love to download this, gonna fav it.
Thanks man, I really wanted to push the limits of meshing styles, and didn't hold anything back, just added what sounded cool, in the end I really liked it. Thanks so much for the review man. oh yeah, a Blade Runner reference is a big compliment to me, haha - Peace.
aww, thanks :) I'm glad to be here. I love my looperman family! Everybody here is positive and kind, and actually give you a chance. They dont just diss your music for all it's imperfections, but take time to see the beauty that lies within. love you all :)
Your technical approach is spot on ( some of your explanation I actually understood ). I am not that familiar with techno so any suggestions I have may not be applicable.
Please continue.
There is very little I can add that hasn't been touched upon by everyone else....This is a great track...I especially liked it when the beat came in steady and not overdone. Downloaded for sure - thank you for that.
This is so friggin sick it is vomitorious !!! Dude , seriously, your creations have a life of their own - this is definitly pro stuff - the established metal icons are pale in comparison.... ( I am greatly disappointed that I could not download your gems.)
Lord love a duck, if I had your talent....
Holy crap !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is outstanding !!!! There is not enough of this genre with this quality on this site. I would use the word brilliant. How come there are not other reviews - something like this must not be ignored.
( the track description made me laugh ).
Please continue, and I look forward to what else you bring to Looperman. I could not download but I am fav'g.
....Weather Report...Jaco - is that Jaco Pastorius of whom you speak ? ( please forgive spelling error of his name ) If so, that was one talented - nay - gifted lad ! I too am/was a bass player and the things that lad played - it was so sick it was vomitorious (as per your suggestion - make up a new word ). And Weather Report is the only LP ( yes LP ) that I own of a group of that genre.
I hope what I write here makes sense - Lamentably, I do not covort or dance about with the smoke of trees, but now with Porto of which I've indulged tonight...crap.... where was I going with this....tsk.
Anyhow, I've enjoyed your track very much - it was very much indeed in the spirit of Weather Report. Well done, and respect from an Irish Mohawk Canadian ( Kanuckistan )
Nice track. Downloaded for sure - thank you for that.
I always manage to miss the Perseids shower show. My brother caught it one time at the Lac Magantic Observatory - he said it was astonishing.
Ok, I'm listening more to your track - damn good. Nice flavors.
