Thanks for your comment. My original recordings of these songs are very bad and Mean really bad. I can't listen to them anymore. That's why I decided to do what I can with them. Nothing to lose.

Very special and cinematic. I like that you let yourself be inspired by Dune. Good stuff!

PaperKup replied 2nd Jan 2025 - 1 year ago

Ok thanks I got it!

Very funky and soulful. That's awesome you have songs and comments going back almost 15 years... amazing. This one was already good and then you made a lot of progress too... but you can definitely still be proud of this one!

Thank you so much! I'm Happy you enjoyed the track!

on Falling in love Vox by Junior Paes by lorenzero

The kick/snare pattern grabs you right away and the 80s arp works well on it. And I'm a bit fan of Junior Paes, she (?)always has these amazing acapellas! C'est tres bien tout ca!

lorenzero replied 2nd Jan 2025 - 1 year ago

Thanks! yes the voice gives inspiration... I did it just for 'fun'. Thanks again to Junior and for you comment. Have a nice year 2025! ;)

on Get What You Give by Zootman

You've got me hooked right away. I think you've outdone yourself!! This is a fantastic start to the new year - everything is crisp and clear and exciting and new and different - the vocal coming in at exactly the right time and loudness. This feels very pro and radio-ready! No idea if you had a plan to bring this out on Spotify or something but I think it would need only very minor tweaks!

Zootman replied 2nd Jan 2025 - 1 year ago

As you can hear, I don't know what I want or need, and if I get either, I'm not sure I want to give it away lol. Anyway, thanks so much. I'm very glad you enjoyed it. l did some minor edits on the vocal arrangement and synth and guitars at the back end of it, not that you'd probably notice on another casual listen. This is the only place I put my music by the way. I don't see the point in putting it on Spotify or anywhere else, they're just a black hole unless you're Taylor Swift.

Very cool sounds (especially the first half) and great mixing by Richard! Always great to see those kinds of collabs!

Hi BaoBou, thanks for the listen and your feedback. Glad you could enjoy a part of it. Please help me and try explain what you mean by "Always great to see those kinds of collabs!" - just doesn't sound right for me.

I enjoyed that very much, but it felt like a long intro leading to maybe a house track. Do you have further plans with it?

I'm working on a track, it will be trance music

My favorite bit is the bit after 2:08 if I'm honest. I also like the bit before, but Iwas sort of waiting for everything to fall in line and that didn't happen. Nevertheless, all your tracks are always interesting. Happy New Year!

StratOli replied 1st Jan 2025 - 1 year ago

Thank you for listening to my amateur tracks and for your valued honest feedback. I understand and agree with your remark, the first part is definitely too long and therefore the change takes too long to arrive. Happy 2025 to you too!

on Rave Tonight by MW2185

Good slow build-up and then the pay-off after 1:39. One really weird thing, and I'm sure it's my brain, not my track; I somehow can't fully process the kick/hats in the beginning; the hats and the kick seem to have a different tempo - which I'm sure is not the case.
Cool track!

on Moss Mother Part 1 - Sun by ValveDriver

Absolutely epic. And it made me realise I really should consider to work with tools like ezdrummer or superior drummer. Those drums make a YUGE difference over my standard Ableton packs.
I assume you can use them with midi, so I can still drum on my kit, then transform it in such a tool?
Anyway. Your track survived 6 years with ease. Congrats and happy new year!

ValveDriver replied 3rd Jan 2025 - 1 year ago

Bao, how are you?
I would suggest it. Highly. I still have the first edition of Ezdrummer and it still gets the job done. I imagine by now the newer versions are even better and have much cleaner workflow. If you end up pulling the trigger and getting one, let me know what you got and if you like it.
Happy new year to you as well!
Take care.
V.

It's very interesting. In the middle part though I feel there are quite a few competing elements - I'm not sure they all play well together. Can you check that? Unless it was your intention of course ;)
