in all seriousness, I shouldn't like this... It is overly bubbly, cutesy and allmost sickeningly sacharine... also it lacks an senseable progression through the track as it basically just plays and plays and plays and then just randomly ends . . .

. . .

but dammit, I like it, faved .__.

I checked out your music and considering it almost being the other pole of this style, I consider your comment a huge compliment! I'm happy you like it.
I liked a few of yours as well.

The progression is probably not too good, and I'm still not very good with programs yet. But hell, it's hilarious to make, so I'll surely improve at some point

on A Letter From Screwtape by jgsmoothy
I like it musically... actually pretty cool track, parts remind me a bit on the dmc OST, which is a good thing in my book. What I have to say, though, the guitars are a bit... low in the mix which results in them sounding a bit weak. The vocals on the other hand stick out . . . like a sore thumb, they don't really feel like a part of the song (and clip here and there for some reason).. away from that, awesome track.

... not very glitchy, but crazy as heck XD
I seriously stared at the screen the whole time with a puzzled look...
...in my book that is something good, so thumbs up XD

on Change By Dyope feat Hardstylerythm by DJDyope
you could work a bit on the transitions between the different parts as some of them feel like the song just kinda... stops and starts new...
away from that, I really like the first kick (the one that also plays shortly before the track... ends, or rather just apprubtly stops), I like the melodys and for once I actually like the rapping, for some reason, so thumbs up for that.

on On My Way Preview by malik123
is it ment to be that distorted or are the levels just completely off?... I like the laid-back athmo this has but the drums (especially the kick) is just completely distorted... if that is on purpose, it does stick out like a sore thumb, a bit...

on DJ The Observer -- Killed by AciD RaiN -- by djtheobserver01
agree with free radical that some (maybe very fast paced) heads would be nice, preferably in short bursts to give short parts of the track something more driving and therby adding a bit more dynamic...
well, at least that is what I would do and ergo pure personal choice so feel free to completely ignore me.

away from that: really trippy track... like that.

on Slaming in the jam by DjThepol
freaking love the guitar... I think there should be more metal-esque guitar + electronics... it just goes so well together . . .
anyways, I think the drums are a bit... how to put it... "nice" or "not in-your-face" and therefor just drown a bit against the (awesome) guitar...
oh, lovely intro also.
kepp it up^^

on Get Up by DJ Dyope by DJDyope
this track isn't bad, I actually like it... however, the kick kinda misses some punch/attack... is that wanted?
If not, I don't know HOW you make your kicks but by the sound of it you synthesize a kick and distort it, so maybe you could try adding a medium strong compressor with a rather slow attack and a VERY fast release inbetween the synth and the distortion, that will let the attack of the kick get slightly accentuated making it more prominent, how much will be determined by how long the attack of the compressor is and how mich it compresses... funnily enough, that is a trick I found while trying to give highly distorted guitars more attack x.X
if you allready knew that, sorry for wasting your time with my comment...
anyways: keep up the good work.

on ssh-VOnBrWpa1994 by ALXSIX
agree, damn trippy... also sounds closer to techno then house, at least IMHO.
like it, however I would have wished that it went a tidbit more crazy here and there with maybe some more screaming tones or some wild panning here and there, but that could just be my liking for the more in-your-face stuff speaking, so take it with a grain of salt.
anyways, neat track, man.

on Lass Laufen by undergounddude
feels a tidbit slow for D'n'B... then again, I couldn't really say what it is, so whatever.
I liked it, has a kinda... wry yet subdued feel, if that makes sense. The shuffle is cool, fits the track. If I had to pick something to nitpick I'd say it is a tad short...

also: wie kommts zu dem Titel? XD

on like and like to by drmistersir
neat track... I personally enjoy music like this so it is kind of hard to give any objective criticism as to me the only thing that could need some work is the production...

on War is coming - Dj Bridge defender by djBridgedefender
that was... VERY minimalistic.
I liked it at the parts were there isn't only a lonely Kick playing... and I liked the beginning (as in the first 20 secs or something)
maybe add some more elements?

on F--- The Machine by failingtimes
sounds very acid-y to me... and not hardcore at all.
but then again, hardcore can mean a couple dozen things that have nothing in common whatsoever.
anyways: I actually really enjoyed it even though that isn't all that much my kind of music... I can't pinpoint why, though. Anyways: neat track man.

you def. gave it your own twist to it, and actually thats one of the main reasons why I really like this remix.
btw. I'd be quiet happy if we could at some point problably collab on a track or somethin'.

random info: the original of this remix can be found here https://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/148040

on Adverse Drumbeats by Nosleeves
reminds me of one of the (many) tracks that got me into j-core (it reminds me a tad on t+pazolite' day and dream to be exact)
but that aside this is pretty much the first breakbeat track I ever listened to, so I can't really say if it is good as in genre-convention-like, but I most certainly can say that I friggin' like it... so fav and download.

thx for mentioning that you will have a breakbeat track up in your comment on my track yesterday, otherwise I would now most likely have one awesome track less on my HDD, hehe^^

so far~

on Metusalem - Basics by Metusalem
away from the fact that I think that the Loop def. needs a seperate Hardstyle genre - since Hardstyle is just not Hardcore . . . - I actually like this one. The overall sound is neat, the Bass has some nice grit to it and the synths also sound quiet neat, yet maybe could need some hissy-reverb and more high frequenciez... but that could also be just my own preference.
Also: really like how it ends on a rather unsettling/slightly dissonant note.

so far~

on Ontokatu by StaticProjekt
that one is... strange... like... really strange... that kind of strange were you keep listening just because it is strange. Problably would more fit into the weird then hardcore but well whatever...

I really like that... guitar-piano-string-thing-y that plays in the background and the overall suspend-like athmo.
Strange is the rhythm-section thought. meaning the drums and the bass. They just sound... broken, if that makes sense.

non the less, keep it up, thumbs up for this one.
StaticProjekt
StaticProjekt replied 26th Sep 2013 - 11 years ago
Always appreciate the feedback, the drums are all half tempo to soundlonger and grainy to match the background vibe, the bass is side chained to the drums to keep it on track, thanks for checking it out and taking time for a comment.

on Lighters by FreeCrack
first thing I noticed is that that sub is... a tad loud, actually it even distorts slightly...
away from that a nice, chilled track... has something slightly melancholic to it, at least to me... could just be my mood, thought. The end is slightly abrupt.
All in all: I like it, thumbs up.

and: everyhing I mentioned is only to be helpfull, I don't mean to diss anything...

on Zen Pad Transation by Nosleeves
really liked it once it hit around the 1:50 mark
also, I have no clue why, but your music always seems to more or less reset my mind. You know, like, you think and think about just anything without going anywere and then, I listen to one of your tracks and blam, nothing, mind just empty... and yeah, that is something positive as strange as it may sound/read XD

on Time Travel by Skiptronic
while this track actually doesn't feel like DnB, at least to me, I do think this is a nice chilly tune.
Sounds like something fitting a sunny day at the beach with a good cocktail - preferable a tequila sunrise since thats my fav - and enough time to just chillout...
keep it up!

also somewhat reminds me on the music I made when I started making music... except that this track has a much cleaner production XD

on MisanthropY Cycles by deciBel
hmm... misanthropy is a rather interesting word... it can mean anything from the simple conclusion that humans behave like parasites to outright and open hate towards each and every human, ushually including the misanthropist him-/herself, therefor pendeling between cold precise logic and illogical burning feelings... a strong, yet highly negative word.
this trial has that somewhat foggy, yet somewhat sardonically happy feel that gets broken by the (awesome sounding) guitare, creating a mood of underlying, supressed feelings that then explode to the outside just to get locked-in and hidden again.
I can't listen to such music for long since it resonates with feelings of my own I'd rather bury and forget - yet exactly this is the reason why you made me respect you even more with this trial of yours Behnam.
