Maj, yes sir. You've handled the funk business in grand fashion. So that displaced drum business along with the guitar and sax is spot on and made my day. Well done.
Hello Mark.
I'm very sorry for the late reply.
My dear friend, you are a master of this genre.
Many thanks for your kind feedback.
I am glad you liked it.
I really appreciated it for the faves.

PhillyBe, so right @ about the 1 minute mark the clavinet is a killing entrance for the next phase of the track. An brilliant execution if I must say so. Nice work. I like your style. Peace
M.T.
CitizenMofo, Very well done. What hit me the most is the nicely placed breaks that allowed that awesome guitar to shine. Impressive all the way around.
M.T.
Thank you. Yes, it's all about that guitar and making it shine. I left like a full structural minute at the end and just said, "Sunny, please play," and then I sat back and watched with tears in my eyes at the great gift of music given to me by this fantastic artist. It was a lucky day when I met the great Sunny War!
felixamodeo, you’re off and running. This is a heavy hitter starter kit. To fix the clipping is a no brainer. Suggestion, if you’re interested in taking this to the stratosphere, hit up our fellow Looperman “Dimestop” for some vocal ideas. He came to mind as I was listening. Peace.
no "fixing" required! it was completely intentional by simply slamming a soft clipper a couple of dB above what should be fed into it on the master chain. to me, as someone who spent a good hunk of their teenage years listening to dubstep, xxxtentacion, various soundcloud rappers, and travis scott; the sound of a distorted beat is pleasing to the ears. it's like the sound of a civic with a subwoofer that's way too big for it. not for everyone, but it certainly is for me! glad you enjoyed too though.
Cyrus0547, so ok you got me! I love what you've done here. From the opening, chord progressions, then That rocking guitar work everything is spot on. Now the drum mix is to my liking and a touch more bottom on the kick and toms would put the proverbial cherry on this simply awesome track for me. You have done this right. Thanks for sharing.
M.T.
chesterfester, another nice track. There’s a group from Chicago named the Soulful Strings that used the sitar extensively. That’s when I was first introduced to that sound. You used it well here. Great work.
M.T.
Wayne, back in the 60s in the Chicago area, there was a radio station 89 WLS AM. This song stayed in heavy rotation for weeks. Even the little garage band I played in performed it at the high school dance. The bass player was a baritone and did the lead vocals! It's amazing how a great song like this affects the memory. Thank you for taking me back to the day.
Cool how songs can bring you to a place in time. The song That's Just the Way It Is by Bruce Hornsby takes me back to my first job splicing fiber optic cable all over the southern US. I picture myself driving across a cotton field in Alabama to get to the railroad tracks where the cable ran adjacent to and along it's path. That song was so overplayed by the only station we could get, he! Thankfully I still like the song.
T576, ok so this right here! That guitar with those chord progressions caused my eyes to leak. The strings and everything is perfect to my ears. That solid drum track carried this composition in grand fashion. And Faved! Peace.
M.T.
Thank you M.T. for checking this one out. Dry those eyes so you can see how to keep creating those sizzling tracks of yours. Working hard on a project to release. Sorry for the delay reply. Stopping by to get some motivation. Thanks again. PEACE. T576 OUT.
Fila, this is a crowd pleaser right here. The vibe is infectious. That kick drives this one all the way home. You’ve got excellent taste with your mixes. Job well done.
M.T.
Fila, that clarinet tho! With this track just lay the rib’s and chicken over the speakers……. They’ll cook just nicely! Another great composition Fila!
M.T.
Fila! Why does this reek of summer? You know, catch me at the backyard BBQ. Anyway the Grammy for capturing the essence of summer award goes to…………FILA! Thanks for sharing your work!
M.T.
Patricia, this is a mighty fine production. Uplifting from the very first note. Yep this made me feel some type of way. Every note and phrase translated encouragement. Also the spread on the backing vocals was a cool touch. Impressive Patricia and FAVED.
Yo Fila, this is definitely soundtrack-worthy. You captured the essence of that legendary studio. This track is right in step with all of your others. Another great listen.
M.T.
Hey kingmy77 thanks for stopping by and glad you enjoyed. Hope I can get another one out of these 72 year ole bones LOL. After listening to a few of your tracks gonna have to up my game! lol Take Care! Fila
chesterfester, you’ve come up with some on point ideas, but this one here has a groove that takes me back to Ahmad Jamal’s Poinciana! And that’s a groove to be reckoned with. Great work!
M.T.
Fila, so I’m back for another dose. You grilled a Fila of Latin goodness. As always a great listen! That bass line tho. I have a serious liking for Latin Jazz. Thanks for sharing this gold.
M.T.
Yep so what an epic entrance. You’ve done all things well here. Out of the “Ish” series, dis da 1 4 me. Now @2:20 you cut me with that piano and I didn’t even know I was cut! The drum mix….. yeah yeah, I know the SCIENCE! This is a spit shined fine composition you got here and here……… take bow and this fave!
I think I may finally be finish-ish with the ish series lol.
I did miss Rap-ish, Pop-ish not to mention Hip & or Hop-ish (damn, I mentioned it) sooo, theres that.
I appreciate you giving me a listen, Fave and encouraging comments. As always the bow is definitely yours.
Azrudaz, I hear you here! Absolutely correct on odd time, odd meter, etc. This starter has some industrial elements that makes it even more interesting. Peace
M.T.
Thank you. Started with a Looperman bassline (search "weirdo slap with delay") Their reply was: "I like the music but at times it sounds like the bass is not in the same temp as the rest. Is it the same tempo?", LOL!! I cut off his 8th bar... Also features "Money" by Pink Floyd and "Ant Man" theme to show it can be "mainstream"
Julio, yep this listen made my day! Everything from the entrance piano, the beautifully composed melodies, and the overall mix with everything in place. Nicely done. Also, I tried to run DSK Sax before and my computer said NO. So I'm using 8Dio's Studio Saxaphone's with great results. Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend.
