I liked this dynamic track. It kept my attention and the melody was fun and memorable. I didn;t have my rig turned up super loud so the drum hit at :45 was a fun dynamic..as were the rest of the dynamics in the piece. That being said, there are a lot more experienced producers here than I, that might lend better advice on what works best. Bottom line: Cool track.
Cool track. I like your choice of passing chords or notes from one section to another kinda dark and joy divisiony (a compliment) Same thing in I like Rainbows. Wicked patch on I Like Rainbows by the way. May I ask what patch/synth that is?
Hi Yert.
I like dark and also joy so those words fit perfectly.
The patch i used on I Like Rainbows is from Sylenth 1 and its called Ramz of wich i tweaked a little bit.
Have fun mate and thanks for your comments.
Thankyou so much!
The sax is basically a combination of a few sax loops. Most of those loops weren't uplifting enough. So I took parts from them and made it this way. I'm glad you liked it. :)
I like this track. I',m probably not the guy to give vx advice... but I love the hooky melody goin on there. Sticks in your head... always a good thing
Wow. I just listened to your track and I feel really pissed off. If the purpose of music is to transfer emotion from the artist to the listener, then you get a 10 out of 10. Good job man. Great track.
Well done. Production is slick and smooth as glass. I love the reverb/off automation at 1:13 But mainly your song is just good. Can't beat a good song. I just have too much fun hear listening to all the talent. It should b illegal.
Lots of interesting suggestions/critiques from producers and engineers far above my skills (likely). But at the end of the day it's about how a recording transfers emotion from the artist to the listener. If I'm in my kitchen singing your chorus at my espresso machine your mission is accomplished :-) Enjoying my triple shot now.
This song really caught my ear. I just love the piano chords and fade at the end. Instant hook from the first bar. Clever drum sounds. ( water "drip" sound on the 3 in 1st section is super cool.)Made me wonder what if Joe Zawinul and Wayne Shorter did a trap song?
I love what I hear here. I like the doubled vx and i like the effects on them. Serves the vibe well and adds mojo. You have a clean voice. nice. Can't wait to hear the finished track. Played it three times. I got a couple of beats if you would like to try them.
An old jazz instructor once used the term "grooves you into bad health"... This grooves hard. Maybe slightly accentuate the upbeats on the hats? I dunno grooves as it is for sure ...Very cool.
Wicked performance. Perhaps use the harmony a bit more sparingly to accentuate certain phrases/lines..? The vocal performance is fat enough to carry the weight with less effects. It's just good. Well done, man.
You're right, and I was thinking that myself about the harmony, it is a bit overkill I guess. Maybe I'm just trying to make up for a lack of other factors, and it does also help to cover some of the background noise I've got going on.
It's given me more ideas for future songs though, so thank you very much for popping by and taking the time out to listen and comment, much appreciated :)
A unique vibe is what I go for every time. I'm trying to make music that no one has ever heard before and I'm also trying to make music that doesn't sound too much like my other music. Sometimes I'm not sure which is harder.
Of course it would be silly not to reuse some sounds and playing styles. I do that all the time as well as introducing new ones in every track.
