Hi DB hope all is well;)
I'm still learning too and although i understand the physics of sound i still struggle to get a good mix mainly because the room where i produce is NOT acoustically treated so i cannot hear the sound accurately.
To get a accurate mix and mastering you will need at least a pair of Studio Monitors and an acoustically treated room which can be done quite cheaply See Here : http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/dec09/articles/beginnersacoustics.htm
Without these two elements it's hard to get a good mix.
However if you don't have them the best you can do is listen to your mix in as many different speakers/headphones as possible and make notes of the problems you might find and then is a question of compromise and test what works best.
Also compare it to commercial music of the same kind just so you have an idea of what's good and whats not.
Nice work ;)
Lots of stuff going on here all the way through, very dynamic and creative beats always evolving i specially enjoyed that part from 2:40 onwards very cool indeed although that sax at 2:45 is causing some distortion on my monitors.
Overall is a very creative ambient track which in my opinion only needs some adjusting on the levels here and there.
I like it very much.
Peace
WB
Thank you for listening and commenting.
My mojo aint working just now so I think I'm planning on listening to as many tunes on here as possible over the next few days with no attempt to create anything!
Hi Er!
This in my opinion i think that main synth goes on for a bit too long and only stops at the section starting around 2:20 which is the best part of the track for me ;)
That's the only thing coz i like the track, but i believe it would benefit if it was less repetitive.
Production wise it's all there and sounds very Good.
I agree that right now the main synth may feel too repetitive but when a vocal is placed on top, I think it'll be more concealed and thus not feel so repetitive since the vocal will be taking the forefront. We shall see though, I may very well change it for the final product.
I like it especially the guitar, the tune is different and very original.
I do Agree with asidRn's review though.
Another thing i noticed is that the track lacks clarity and sounds muddy at times, better mixing and mastering would quickly sort it out.
Let me know if you do make changes as i would like to hear it.
Hey Mos!
I know this track has been here a while but i haven't been here that long, so i give you my thoughts now, and go through the others whenever i can;)
Bro this really good one of the best tracks i heard on this site so far( i haven't heard as much as you but still), the percussion is awesome and that bass man is top! although feels a little low in volume to me but i understand you want the vocal to be the focus.
The vocals are amazing, beautiful voice and great lyrics.
Well done with the piano and that distant pad is just spot on.
Nice work my friend you got some serious talent.
PS: I just read the review you done on mudhoen's track,
man that was deep, hat's off to you for helping him out, good man.
mate thank you for stopping by, very pleased you enjoyed this one, even today still one of my fav tracks...will head your way again next few days friend, little short on time, just popped in to respond to reviews...Thanks for the fav...Peace n Respect friend...mosaic...
Nice i do love some Psy ;)
It does sound influenced by it but different in it's own way, very original.
I like the sounds you used through the track.
As for the vocals although very interesting and i honestly like them specially the lyrics, in my humble opinion don't fit this particular kind of music, personally i would prefer the sound without it but that's just my opinion, having said that hats off to you for getting out of the norm to bring us something different and unexpected.
Those synths you bring around 3:02 are amazing, very cool indeed and that Goa Trance type lead at 3:40 and again towards the end is really good.
Overall is a tricky track with lots of interesting stuff going on.
Well done
Hey WB, thank you for the kind and thorough comment! I'm happy that you did indeed hear the psy/goa influence in this. I really enjoy doing vocals for musical styles that wouldn't normally have standard lyrical structures, such as psy or techno... I find it brings out an industrial aspect to things which wouldn't normally have it. In addition, those are the kinds of music I enjoy making, so if I have something to say, it only makes sense to say it this way. "Different and unexpected" are both great comments for me as a musician, so thank you for that! This was much appreciated!
Sounds very good :)
Love that intro! Very cool percussion elements there.
The pad and the chords really make the track feel very smooth.
What You've done with the vocals is great, nice and wide to give it a really open feeling.
The way you end the track is Top Notch!
Fav'd Well Played ;)
Best Regards.
WB
Nice musical piece, very unique.
The slow dark intro really got me, very slowly giving way to a more psychedelic ambiance always very gently.
The Drums come in very nicely with a decent amount of variation.
I Love The variety of colors and textures introduced just at the right times.
Good Work ;)
Thanks - that's what I go for with every track I make. I'm not always successful.
Yes, I like to vary the drums a lot in my tracks and most have a lot more variation than this one. I've tried to make this more consistent. It's really just one drumkit used after about 3:30, which is rare for me.
"variety of colors and textures introduced just at the right times."
Lots of synth sounds that are gradually brought in (or used occasionally) so that there's always something new coming.
Spectacular, really nice tune.

so thank you ;)

Sounding good i like it.
Love that Sample in Portuguese from Brazil.
As for the Rap You got a good voice and your flow is neat.
The only thing i would say is that the track needs is some variation on the instrumental and a slight improvement on the mastering for overall clarity.

This is incredible stuff, you guys are amazing.
I haven't had the time to hear all your songs yet but so far this is the one i enjoy the most, everything is just so well balanced and professional sounding.

Beautiful Message ! Hoping it happens :)
Its a very professional song, spectacular vocal work, the sounds were captured beautifully, everything just works well together.
I like religious songs (not just Christian).
I have a Christian background so i can easily identify with this song.
Thank you for the amazing song, will recommend it to some folks ;)

Nice Song Bro, very well done, i had to hear it more than a few times .
The reason why you wrote the song make it even more special.
I find that often extreme feelings when translated into any form of art tend to lead to very incredible pieces.

Agreed, for right now i'm focusing on cohesive sounds and frameworks but you are absolutely correct, variation keeps the interest.
