Hi TheElectricKitten,
Thought that I get around to reviewing one of your tunes
here. This isn't the type of music I normally listen to,
but it sounds kinda cool to hear something different than
what I create myself.
I guess the synth could be turned down a little as another
suggested as it cuts over the voice in some places.
Thanks for uploading,
Randy
Hello Evrim,
Nice voice and choice of loops you made.
I like the song a lot. I hadn't played any of your music
before, and saw you as a 'featured'...so that's how I
found you. There is just too many people on here to
listen to all the available 10,000+ songs.
Hi there Scott,
Thanks for reviewing one of my songs a little while ago. I finally uploaded the 'Canadian Pride' song I mentioned earlier from my laptop this time.
Anyways, I like your song here. Seemed to start out a bit harsh on the guitar then settled down...to me anyways'. :-)
But overall, very nice song.
I'll listen to some more of your tunes for sure.
Randy
Hi Voltage,
Thought I'd give one of your first songs a listen to. Nice acoustic guitar playing. The addition of the strings, etc, fit in very well.
Just shows what you can do with certain programs and getting the best out of them.
Nice job of putting it all together.
Randy
Thanks Randy.
This one took up many tracks and a great deal of time to accomplish. The drums actually took up most of my time. Appreciate you taking the time to listen and comment.
Voltage
Hi Voltage,
Wow, what I nice clear sound. I like this song a lot. I just ordered 1,000 files of Harmonia royalty free loops on a disk in different styles.
Your singing is good too. Sounds like Dylan to me if I close my eyes. ;)
Thanks for sharing.
Randy
Thanks for the compliments on the Dylan piece Randy.
I want to try and do songs in the style of Lennon and McCartney, Hendrix, The Who, Mountain and others that influenced me. Sort of like what the Rutles are to the Beatles. A tribute to the music and musicians I love. Thanks for your encouragement and inspiration Randy. BTW, Love those flickr photos you posted....awesome.
Voltage
Hi Voltage,
Interestingly I found that Efiddler site just a few weeks ago. The guy is great. I am using some of his freebee loops in my next country song. (Combination Country/Cajun)
Great tune you have here, I like it a lot. Its great to be versatile.
Not much real Country/Bluegrass type on Looperman here, so it is good that I am not the only one that post it.
Randy
Randy,
Sorry for the delayed response to your kind review.
The violin is an instrument I hope to become accomplished on one day. Then again, I'm still working on my keyboard chops...so many cool tools, so little time. Thanks for listening and commenting Randy.
Voltage.
Hi there Slap.
Been awhile since I have listened to any of your songs as I work a lot of extra hours.
Very nice job on the Sax and Flute. I would like to buy your album when you get done....so let me know.
Your playing is always very good and concise and clear in the mix.
Thanks for uploading,
The last song I uploaded was a slow blues slide guitar type if your interested in the key of open 'C' tuning.
Randy
Hi Blair,
Nice sounding harmonica work. Your voice is decent too.
I think it would be nice if you could make a song with guitar, bass and a little drums. That would fill out the sound a whole lot.
Did you get around to doing any Harmonica work on my Voodoo Swamp song? That as I mentioned was in the key of 'C'.
I'll be doing a county song next with 'Banjo'. I see you don't like Banjo, but there won't be much in it. :-)
My fingers are slowing down. It will be half old country and Cajun with twin fiddles. Since your from Georgia, maybe you like Cajun music? I mean Louisiana is 'nearby'.
Back to your song here. Nice work, you play well on the harmonica.
Randy
Thanks. i actually practice the harmonica more than the guitar. I whine about not being as good as some of you guys. But I must not really want it because I don't even practice everyweek much less every day. But the harmonica. I can cary that around. And since I'm on the road driving most of the day. Hours to play. I've even started using it to write songs. Have just written 2 songs for someone here. He will do the music I'll do the lyrics. Got 2 christmass songs going too. So I haven't played around with Voodo yet. Honestly I forgot. But you reminde me. And that sound is to cool to not put some harp to. I actually like the banjo a lot. Just like that joke too.
Hi Meestege,
Nice sounding Blues tune here. A lot different than mine which are mostly slide guitar and slower. Sounds like you should drink a few beers before making ANY new song....as it loosens you up and your inhibitions fly away.
I am afaid I am not doing too well at colabs because of working so much. I should have had the Dobro part done months ago for the 'I'm too fat' song.
Anyways, this was a very good blues song and I liked it a lot.
Thanks for sharing,
Randy
Randy,
The problem is I want to make music everyday. I will end like a alcoholic if I did that. But it is true just a bit alcohol gives more inspiration. But when I was playing in bands I saw some musicians went too far.
Take your time I´m also very busy with the job. a
Hi there Meestege,
Just getting around to catch up on some reviews. Looks like this one and the other one done is June are your latest two.
I like this song here. Drums are good and steady, guitar sounds good thru the Line 6.
You know I have a rack mount Line 6 and have hardly ever used it. Such a shame as they sound so good, but I get any sound/ tone via software these days.
Hi Randy,
Thanks. I think the overall idea is good but I'm not satisfied with the sounds and the mix. I tried to improve this but no results yet.
Well the Line 6 can produce very good sounds and you alter all sounds the way you like. I'm very satisfied with hard- and software.
Gerard
Hi Planet,
I liked this song here. A very relaxing tune. The guitar was clear sounding and the Bass complimented it nicely. Good fadeout at the end. Nice playing!
Randy M.
Hello Art,
Well I tried leaving you a review of this song several days ago but the system wasn't accepting any reviews. So I am listening to your song a second time as I forgot what it sounded like.
Really sounds nice and you seem to have put it all together well. Just listening to your favorite artist and mimicking their arrangement style helps a person put together a song.
An instrumental is harder as you have to keep it from becoming boring ....and you did a nice job here of keeping the song moving along.
Randy
Very nice. The voice reminds me of the talk the young gal was giving at the end of the 'Mad Max' movie when everyone was sitting around talking about a new world.
I liked the guitar as it was clean sounding and was played very well, and the reverb made it sound nice.
The voice could be brought out front more as someone suggested, but I could understand most of it even with the accent.
Thanks for uploading and sharing.
Randy
Hey Randal...post apocalyptic voice overs..hehe...I love the sound when there's only a few instrumental voices happening...it gives things a lot of exposure....my future pieces like this will have more attention given to the spacing of the elements and their position within the track...glad you liked it mate cheers...:)
I like the synth sound. I just think the song needs a little more variety is all like telling story.....starting off easy and building to a climax. But everything there fits well.
I haven't done any ambient types yet myself.
Randall,
Thanks for the kind comment. You may have heard the expression, it's not how fast you play, it's what you play that counts. I think it's just the fact that you create that counts. Be creative, express yourself, you are a musician...and that counts for bonus points in my book.
Voltage
Hi Anthony,
I decided to play this song you made back in April. That was quite awhile ago I know. Anyways, the guitar sounds were pretty good. I think if you could arrange it and get it together better, you'd have a really good song. Maybe add vocals in a quieter section like a regular song.
It sounds like you all have the talent for sure, just need to arrange it properly in this particular song.
Jamming is fun as you get a chance to experiment and do anything and everything...so this is just my take on it.
Randy
Getting around to listen to one of your songs here as promised. Starting out, it doesn't sound like Hip Hop...at least not the type I have heard before. Usually they start out with a flurry of words that never end. lol
So it was refreshing to hear your tune. I really liked it and it had a nice clear solid sound to it. Maybe more variety could be put into it overall so as to change themes a little...like telling a story.
Anyways, I liked it a lot and I will have to listen to your other projects.
Randy
Hi Blair,
Nice song you have here. Haven't listened to any of your songs in awhile. The rhythm you have in this song sounds like a 'Bo Diddley' style...which just happens to be in my next song I am almost finished with.
Anyway, good song as I said. I'll have to listen to more of your nice tunes.
Randy
Hello Korner,
I see you have a featured track here and it popped up while I was looking around, and so I decided to play it right away. Well, I like it a lot. Very nicely put together and I can understand all the words. I haven't done or listened to many Techno tunes myself. I don't sing so I am stuck with doing instrumentals.
I'll have to get to listen to more of your music shortly.
Thanks for sharing it,
Randy
Hi Liam,
Looks I'll be one of your first reviewers. I haven't done any Electro type music, so I really don't know if the sounds I am hearing are supposed to be that way. Like the kick drum sounds more like a hammer. Needs more of a deeper sound. Unless...that is supposed to be that way?
I would add in more of a variety of musical notes instead of the same pattern most all the time. I suppose it just means listening to others songs of the same type and see the differences.
So since your just learning, uploading your songs here is a good way to have others listen to your songs and give you tips with the program your using. I don't use FL myself and never have, so I can't offer any help with the pogram. Anyways, keep learning and playing, and upload more.
Randy
Thanks for the review. Yea the sounds are meant to be like that, but I know what you mean about the kick, I just the standard default FL kick thats already there. I'll try and find some new kicks. Maybe a different kick combined with a bit of bass would make it sound better. Thanks again.
Hey Chuck.....
Another cool song here about you. I don't particulary like Rap, but I did enjoy this one, as the music was very good and varied. I could even understand all the words! :-0
Randy
Hi Chuck!
I am a Chuck Norris fan from many years back. Glad to see you branched out into more music besides the Texas Walker 'Ranger' song. :-)
However, I still see you with Christie on TV selling that exercise equip. When is your next movie coming out? (lol)
Anyways, your first tune was fun to listen to, and I can honestly say, I haven't heard anything like it before!
Welcome to the site as you'll enjoy yourself here.
Hi ya...well, this is one of your older songs and I liked this one a lot. I love acoustic guitar anyways. I have a loop disk just full of acoustic guitar with different patterns, and playing in different keys, but I often like my own playing better.
Good job on this tune with the mix of the other instruments behind it.
Randy
Pretty nice track. However, I would say it would sound better...to me anyways...if there wasn't quite so much scratchy sound in the first part. Once that sound stopped towards the end, it sounded nice and clear.
Thanks for uploading it,
