on S.U.B.A - Are you ok? by SUBA
I am feeling it, really ambient. Vocals are creepy, like a stalker who finally got you tied to a chair in his house, and the water is laced with, something, chloraform. Then for some reason they didn't have their shirt on, but if your a stalker why do you want their shirt back on?

Oh well!

Great track!

on Zero Gravity by AidansTrance
The intro is sick. The bassline is a little too analog, you know? Like maybe use a sharper wave form. The lead is great, but a little to loud. I really like the pads you used.

Great job!

Thank you, I appreciate your opinion and I'll make the changes ;) I didn't spent much time in this track, it was just the idea in the middle of the track and of course the beat in the intro...
Will you come by tomorrow? I'm going to upload the song with Eshar's Poem.
Thank you in advance...

on REDRUM by DJCP1
The intro is great, with the samples. Very eerie. The drums could be a little loud is my only complaint. That piano is great and the chopping and screwing of the drums too.

Great Job!

Thanks for the review. It's funny...I've heard the drums are too loud, the drums aren't loud enough. I think the drums are fine. I'm glad you enjoyed the track.

on The Break-In by DeviousJam
Well your description sure as hell wasn't helpful! =D

I love the way you detuned everything as it goes. Then bring in the snares and bass kicks. WOAH!!! I love the 1:30 section, it's amazing!

Great job!

on Try and get the spark. by ReferencePoint
I love it when you get that spark, one of the best feelings in the world, almost euphoric! The first synth that comes in is awesome, I don't like the second one that much. Did you use Reason 4? I think I recognize one of those samples.

Great job!

Nope! Sony Acid Pro 6.
I jus download samples and stick them into Sony Acid Pro and work with em'. The title basically comes from because i had trouble coming up ideas with songs xD Personally i have produced better songs..Check them out if you wish.

on Morse Code by ReferencePoint
Go glitch! If you love glitch get a Kaoss Pad 3, the granulizers in there are amazing for glitch.

The song is pretty great, I love the timestreching/reverse of the drums. The synth is pretty cool.

Great job!

on 19 Note Paradise by Zooloo75
19 Note Paradise, why do you call it this, are there only 19 different piano hits in the piano loops you are using? I love the hi hats you are using. There is too much background noise though, kind of makes the piano sound all wompyjogged.

Great job!

Zooloo75
Zooloo75 replied Unknown
The reason I called it 19 Note Paradise is because the main piano melody has 19 notes in it.
Thanks for the review.

on I luv Drums by Krook
I love drums too! Nice use of the congas? No these are bongos? Am I right? The little vox sounds pretty good too. The bass is pretty good. The synth at 1:30 or so is good, but doesn't fit quite right.

Great job!

Hi DaMann
Thanks for reviewing my track. yep you are right about the synth its a good sound but its coming in too quick. It was just a quick track I made up from a new CD I bought from loopmasters - Quantic House its got some real good sounds on it.
By the way Bongos and Congas Ha! Ha!
Thankyou

on K.o - Kid - R 'n' B by Shah2008
Those orchestral stabs are pretty tight. Then that wobbly synth is great! And the occasional other percussion instrument that sounds real unfiltered, I think it is a snare that sounds great. My only suggestion is make it more dynamic, it slowly adds on for the most part, I would say add on take off and add on then take off one last time but don't just peel them off and ease them on by fade in's and out's, use tension and make it more dramatic.

Great job!

on You simple by DJVO
That synth sounds great with the kick together, the chords you are using however are way to commonly used in my opinion, they sound good, but who hasn't used them? I really enjoy the 1:00 mark or so where the other synth goes off on it's own. The other synth is really good that comes in later!

Ohhh... I see, I never really pay attention to titles.

Great job!

on Lazyboy DarkHearted remix by lazyboy
AHHHH!!!! I had a page long review written and I accidentally pressed cancel... Well I will summarize... When the vocals say it's just one more... that is when I would bring in the beat. Then run the lead through a filter when they die down and use a cymbal or something to bring it back in. The lead is a little repetitive, but good. It holds the lowest part of the arp to long... it goes high lower loweeeeeeeeeeeeest, maybe you could go high lower lowest highest? Just some ideas, and maybe another lead, something echoey. You also need a bassline, and they are not hard to create. Take an analog synth use two saw waves and set them in octave 2 with high filter frequencies.

Just do something like this.
K=kick
B=bass

K-B-K-B-K-B-K-B-

Or my favorite...

KBBKBBKBBKBB

Tweak the velocities to get great sounds.

Good track!

on Twang Thang by johnnygadget
JOHNNY! You never knew me really but I missed you. I love funk, especially pre-house funk, when it was kind of electronic. I love the talkbox guitar or wah wah you do with that guitar. The one thing I have to say is the drum beat never really changes, it is the same, maybe you could fade in and out with the filter that you are using, and add a break or two, solos. That funk guitar thing in the background with the talkbox or wah wah sounds a lot like the lyrics to Butthole Surfer's Pepper, if you ever listened to them.

Great track!

Thanks daMann wasnt really taking this one seriously I agree with the drum track being the same I was actually just trying to matching different styles with the same beat to show how genres can change withthe drum beat staying the same just glad to be back in some form or fashion

on deep of ocean by inPublic
Title suits it well, the side chain or whatever string with a synth is great. The kick and bass are great! This song is great, the synth sounds like Reachers of Civilization by York. My only complain is the acid synth that comes in about 1:00 is a little uncalled for and the end of that loops that goes dadaDADA(I'm trying here) sounds a little 80's which doesn't blend with the modern mood of the track.

Great job!

on Lazyboy - No Saving Grace by lazyboy
I like the synths a lot, how they stack so well. Very happy and upbeat. The synth needs to be a little more dynamic. You have that great synth, but it almost never stops, which helps build tension and make it more energetic when it comes to the chorus.

Great Job!

on S.U.B.A - you by SUBA
What are the voxes saying? I like ambient house a lot, especially at night. The thing I think it needs is a little more progression, it progresses very smoothly, but too slow I think. Kind of goes like this

.....,,,,,eeeeeeeeeee,,,,,.....

If that makes any sence it it just kind of stating how it slowly builds into one point of explosion, well not much of an explosion in ambient house, but the most energetic part I guess, I think there needs to be multiple plays of the chorus, with slight variations.

Still a great track, just trying to help.

Great job!

The synth is a little too hard, but still great, just maybe turn the shaper drive down. The percussion is awesome with the vox. I really don't think it needs any vocals.

on the Original version of this song which is 5:05
the synth is more level.but because i had to edit
to about 1:30 out or so,to get it at 4mb,because it
is at 320kbps at 11.5mb's so i think also when you
upload a song here it gets re-encoded for bandwith
and compression.and again thanks for the review.

on Build On Devodale by Devodale
I love it when I hear those samples from Reason, the one's I can never find uses for, but here you go... just using that little "eh" sound amazingly. Way to short though, and I suck at remixing... I would give it a go if I didn't. I want to hear what other people did with this, if you added an awesome drum break it could be amazing.

Great job!

I love classic synth sounds especially when in ambient. Isn't recorded with cassettes fun? Me and my brother had a project a few years ago with a 6 track yamaha, we still use it when he's in town. Wasn't there for the 80's but seemed like a missed a bunch... like the Stark Club in Dallas.... that sounded like the good ol' days.

Well Great Job!

That bassline is sick, the one complaint I have is take the reverb off the kick, just let it be a dirty kick.
