on Stand By Me Ft ThaSuspect1 by SeriouslyJoking
Hi:)

Really nice work - I like what you did with all
the elements that build up the song. It really
sounds nice like this - the dynamic is good. Maybe some cinematic effects like about 0:55 not really fits electronic dance style. I like the sound image about 1:40 mark. I mean that it will be nice to stick with the one (electronic?) genre so to speak. But still I see that you have a lot of nice ideas in putting the material all together. I really like the piano and the drums. I have listened to this acapella and it's really good so do not complain about it, ok? :)

Anyway you have a full song that sounds really good.
Maybe you have just too many elements in it, I do not know:)
But I had great time listening to it - it has a lot of power!
Great work so far!

Hi there!
I'm not complaining about the vox!! =D
Or well, just about the snare or what ever it is in it all the way through which makes it hard to mix with more chilled parts. But I guess it's my amatourish approach that does it. But I love the vox - it's more than great actually.

I'm pleased to hear you liked this anyway and good call on the cinematic bomb effect - I made it more incorporated now I think. There is something else there also which doesn't really fit in and I'm not sure what it is...
But to be continued...

Thanks for listening!
Cheers/ SJ=)

on Stay with me till dawn featuring Pauline Wright by RichieWinn
Hi:) I am enjoying this a lot:)

Really nice production and I like this kind of recording with not too much processing added.
Sounds simply clear and pleasant to me.
Good arrangement and choose of instruments. Nice passage with strings in between leads to the final section. I like the guitar solo - it somehow fulfills the song. Nice backing vocals and suspended ending. .

Really relaxing and smooth track.

Good work!

Hi

Thank you so much for your kind words - much appreciated. It's so rewarding that you pick up on aspects of the track I try to get right. "Clear and pleasant" I like a lot!! It's a long time since I had a "good work" comment (in school I don't think I every had one!!!) so your comments are particularly special. Thank you so much.

on 1 from your exil 2 bloc notes by jacquesdemers
nice chillout music: I like a clear sound of the gitar from the beginning and great introduction that really sets up the mood of the song. It is so nice to hear as it goes along: nice piano sounds, percussions and the soft synth sounds. Really well done by placing of elements in arranging the song structure. But I can hear only the one chorus (about 1:12) and it feels like it could be nice to hear it again once more. Maybe it's just me but song starts from 0:37 and it sounds like it really needs this recapitulation. But anyway nice work and it doesn't necessary require the lyrics for me.
I enjoyed this very much:)
Greetings,
A.

on Longing by DESTERO
A very spetial but really interesting mixture of sounds and styles in this composition: really nice kind of relaxing music at the beginning then some funky bass guitar passage to something more electro. Really good work with putting it all together!
Best,

on circle of light by DanGoldstein
Hi:)

I really like all the melodic stuff going round in circles.
It reminds me of the american minimal-music composers.
Also the sounds you used have some kind of a tribal quality.
Nice work!

thanks so much promenade. i did not even think about the connection to circles. i try to connect music to art so now you have given me another aspect which might serve that connection. thank you!

Hi again:)
Ok, so I downloaded the track and did some music based on the organ sound from this song. I hope it is ok for you that I looped this sound before asking your permission anyway. I just wanted to see if I could do something on that:)

I really like this one - nice chill vibes of the organ/keys.
Could last a little longer for me or may be developed into
something else - I can almost hear some sultry vocal or
a funky improv on the top of that:)

Simply great work!

on Liberate Vocal Mix by Spivkurl
Hi Spivkurl,
just listening to your new collection right now. There are many pieces I can feel some connection to, espetially no. 1,
2, 3, 12, 13, 15 and 16. But needless to say - going into this music I like them even more. Very mixed and creative stuff. I can hear classical 80's funk groove in the 'Liberate'. A lot of 90's progressive trance, minimal techno, oldschool rave (Psychogenic Sammich)- am I right?
I am really enjoying a true classic analog sound image.
For sure I will be returning and listening to the album again.
Great work!

Greetings,
A.

Hello friend, and thank you for your honest feedback while listening to the tracks! The specifics of which songs you felt a connection with is invaluable to me, so I really appreciate that! I think introducing some recent collaborations into the track list made this quite a different album than my usual, and also induced a bit of discontinuity. The minimal techno is definitely a prominent influence in many tracks. I barely knew what trance was in the 90's, and I'd say progressive trance is one of my least listened to styles of trance... not to mention that this album may be the only of my albums that didn't contain any songs which are specifically trance. It's interesting you associate "psychogenic sammich" as old school rave, as I went into it without any expectations or intentions. I've also basically never been to rave, so it's funny, I guess I went to a christian (make no assumptions due to use of this word) festival back in the 90's and there was a rave, but that's about it. Makes me happy to hear your "true classic analog sound image" reaction, as on many of the songs I was trying quite a lot to induce that feeling... one of my dreams as an artist is to at some point get some vinyl pressed of an album or EP. Thank you very much for your well expressed comment!

Thanks. I will check out some of your work, especially as I now see you have tracks on Looperman, not just Soundcloud.

I will keep up the productions. This track's bigger, better and more epic brother coming in the next few days.
