on New Years Eve - The 2014 Version by aelmen
this one sounds great as a very late night song on my portable radio... too bad it was so short one...
enjoyed it a lot,

you are so right about the length!
I found other fragments that's missing and i think I've have to add them in a latter release of this song.

Glad that you enjoyed it!

Cheers,

on ex-convict by Akazar
this is really good... I can feel a hypnotic vibes and am enjoying this a lot! I really like the minimal style of your music. Nice organ/tabla playing: groovy, smooth and funky (3:09!)!!! And you're right: the track has some old-school feeling which is great!

on Rain Comes Down by Maffin159
hi,
this is really good and I am enjoying a lot the song...
For me the background vocals (aaa..., uuuu... etc) are a bit too loud as well as the overdubbed vocals. And I think it's because that the piano has some quite long reverb: it sounds far although the vocals are close and intimate... The 'cinematic' orchestral strings are also 'too much' (for me): I suggest you to replace them and add some single violin part or something to keep it 'acoustic' The song is great and you could make it just with the (close recorded) piano or guitar and it will sound fine like this. Or give some more ambiance to the voice parts which sounds better with far piano and orchestra. But I think it is still very well done as it is now... Nice work and great vocals!
Greetings,
A.

Hey thanks - yeah - all done today so work in progress and not really mixed it yet. Originally had a drier piano (Bosendrfr) but sounded a bit hard - will tweak.

Useful feedback - much appreciated.

on Funky Is As Funky Does by Badhuman
this is very good: I like the congas that sound here almost like the 'talking drums'.... NIce tone of the recording - it is really well produced.... And of course very funky and stylistically played guitars... Smooth rhodes and phased clavinet... Simply good music. I had a great time listening to this!

on Looking For You by Spivkurl
hi Spivkurl,
really nice music... apart of all the ideology content about the suffering which I do not buy at all (everyone suffers). I like the bassline and also how you work with your voice - it is great! There is a slight suggestion from you in the description that it may be not the best of your album tracks. For me it is not the best track from your latest collection for sure! But still it is very nice put together. I like the trance vibes of a looped voice in here with the bassline:). I like simplicity.
Greetings,
A.

Hello, and thank you for your comment! I'm happy that you enjoyed the musical elements in the track! It is not a horribly complex or involved piece, but I succeeded in translating the moment to my ears. Yes you are right, everyone suffers, it is part of the human experience... however, our responsibility to humans is as caretakers of this earth and this reality - to impose suffering on, or to be an enabler of suffering to the members of this existence is to me the peak of weakness and failure. I appreciate your comments!

on Feel The Sound by Diskonnect
a very funky number 'that moves along quite nicely'. Indeed. That's absolutely true: chill, groovy and relaxing... ! I must say again: I like the simplicity of your compositions and the work you did with all the loops here. The drums you using sound very nice and they are oldschool-styled with this reverbed snare. The keys are just great: from 1:48 you introduce some a little taste of improv. with background rhodes witch sounds cool... The vox loop sounds like on 80's funk/disco recordings. 2:36 - also nice change with 2 rhodes and bass guitar. The orchestral sounds (from 3:00) are maybe a bit too pompous and 'cinematic' in here and goes also too far from 80's funk groove sound image (for me) but still it is very smooth and nice merged together. I am enjoying it a lot!

on Chill em by Diskonnect
hey Extraball,
yes, very nice chill vibes on this one... Quite simple guitar but I like the oldschool beat you used on it, nice trumpet section at the end! You have a lot of really interesting concepts for the production using only some just simple sounds here. NIce work.

on when U laugh by deciBel
hi,
nice cinematic music. Really well done with the strings and piano. I like your mandolin playing - it's very nice merged into this composition along the violin section. I would like to hear a bit more of the introduction: you start with slow strings but you could extend the beginning for sure. And add maybe some nice ending or just fade it out so you could have a 3-4 min.
Quite short track but really nice and pleasant to listen and enjoy.

This is great! Really solid funk bass guitar groove.
Nice funky guitar, chill and smooth saxophone playing.
I like the background noises, synths and heavy breathing also. Simply great jam session.

this sounds really nice. I would say, a collage of sounds or something. But anyway this is a song - I can hear that you keep some structure anyway. I like the way it evolves and then stops,it looks like the daw you used can produce really some unusual, unexpected but very creative and interesting sounds. Nice work.

on Power Drive by srbrown7
hi,
really nice track: a lot of let's say digital or industrial sounds in here. I like the arpeggiated synths starting from trom 1:33. Very powerful music! Nice ambient and distorted elements. Interlude part (2:50) with organ/rhodes(?)loop. This track is a bit old-styled but I really like that. Nice combination of heavy guitar and arp. synth in the last part. Synth pad (4:39) could have a longer release but is still interesting. An orchestral-hit synth effect (5:11)!
It reminds me of some older recordings from 'Astral Projection' or something like that but this one is much more funky! Great work!

on Why did you leave by ArtfulOne
Hi ArtfulOne,
I agree with joecramer comment: you definitely need a female vocal singing refrain by this one:) A kind of a very straitforward song (for me:)) but you did it very well with keeping time and rapping. This one makes me think of productions from Pitbull or some older music from 90's. But it is still really well done by singing along the whole track. Good job.

on UPDATE Thinking Of You Ft Felicia Santilla by SeriouslyJoking
hi Seriously Joking:)
I really like what you did with the song:) The last part is the best - piano and bass you added fill up all the space in the song. The pad you have used sounds just great for me! I am feeling a very nice vibes at 1:52. Great work with the piano and bassline. Especially I like it at 2:14:). Those two elements appear at the end of the song without any continuation - it makes me somehow wanting to hear them again developed or just repetead. But maybe it's just me:) I suggest that you could only experiment again and try to re-arrange the elements of the song:) But I like the way it is now and that's fine if you will leave it at this point which sounds very nice:)
The sound you created is very chill and I am enjoying this a lot feeling like diving into it. Really nice work and simply cool chillout track!

Cool!!
Thanks for the feedback. I'm thinking about making the track a Little longer but it'll have to wait, I'm at work all day tomorrow.
But I Think you are on to something there with the bass and piano.

Take care!

on Winter song by LividKicks
hi LividKicks,
definitely a chillout track maybe a bit cinematic also:)
Nice relaxing vibes in this music: I like the thin piano, percussions, mellow double-bass loop, synth pad, arp-synth (2.54) - a bit old-fashioned (I like that!):). Also nice the last part combining all that together with strings.
Nice work!

on UPDATE Thinking Of You Ft Felicia Santilla by SeriouslyJoking
I just thought you might add some simple lead piano/synth solo at the end. Your piano sounds good.
Or introduce piano earlier and put some solo as a bridge to the final part. Hope that is useful.

Very useful!
I'll consider what to do with this then. Wasn't sure about if there was any point in putting more time in this because it's a very...ehrm.. dull song to my ears.

hey:) I think you could also add some variations to the drums.
Maybe experiment also a bit with equalizing and balancing the parts of your composition in the mix and find some better sound:)

this is very nice done - vocal has some oriental quality and flavour I think. At least this is how it sounds to me:)First part sounds just great - I feel chill and very relaxing vibes. Too bad it sounds unfinished - I'd like to hear even more power from 1:41. The pad you used also could sound wider (for me). But still really great work with this one!

Hey good points!
Agree about widening the pad and more Power after the break - maybe a bass line and develope the piano some more...

Thanks for listening and for the great feedback!

Hi B. K.,
I am really a fan of your music: simple, even minimalistic songs, relaxing vibes, nice organ pads you use, slow tempo, breathing effects here, detailed percussions. I like the intro/outro of this song a lot - it takes me straight to some peaceful place! Great work!

on Daft Punk Medley Piano Version by GoldenOokami
hi, I am curious about your work: I mean, how did you
input notes? Are you a piano player? Good work with that. But this piano sounds quite basic to me. Maybe try to use some free plugins like 'Jazz Baby' or 'Piano One' and add some dynamic to the notes - it will for sure
sounds much better.
But anyway nice work!
Greetings,
A.

I am a piano player, yet nothing professional or even close. I play by ear, 100%. However, I made this track using FL studio. I had to watch/listen to the video/music multiple times, and match the key's notes to the appropriate place. It took a long time, but I'm happy with the outcome. Thanks for the comment!

on Habits- Slow Ballad Cover by lrini
nice work!
You're very skillful on vocals:) This is very
nice music to listen to. I think that better voice recording (I mean placing of microphone and adding only some little processing on it) could make this song sounds fantastic. It sounds for me nice at at the beginning and about 3.28 - much more like a ballad.
I sugesst only that you could try find your own interpretation being original not only another version of the song. But still it is really good performed. I like the backing vocals at 2:30 mark also!
Really good work with this one!

A.

definetely a cinematic track (for me:)). Nice celtic harp and flute at the end - I like it a lot! Good work with merging vocals into the song and also layering the echo - vocals. I am enjoiyng to listen the composition developing. Nice guitar solo.
The song could fade out maybe a little bit slower to the end but it is still fine like this:)
Nice one!
