hardout. cranking alot of nine inch nails recently this kinda reminds me of that, altho this is much harder than any nin ive heard! makes me want to smash shit :)
nice one. sorry cant comment about the bass cos i got no speakers in my new pad yet, but the rest sounds sweet as (im trying to imagine the bass into it). def breakbeat id say, tho im nt the biggest breaks fan. but yeah has a good flow to it, diggin the signature glitch in there ;] haha, keep em comin bro, peace
sick dude, this is one of the best dnb trax ive heard on here so far, is this the finished version?, if not b sure to put up a thread when its done yeah? seriously i like everything about this track EXCEPT the hands up sample. probly just cos i personally dont see eye to eye with that particular sample, but i think it would go better with the rest of the track if you mashed the sample up with some scratching or some glitch or something.. just a thought, excellent track tho bro, kudos
weird track mate i have to say, if i didnt know it was intentional i admit i probly wouldnt get it either. but i quite like this track the drums rolling in and out give it a real laid back cruisy almost ambient feel, i think youve captured the spirit of the track well with the title, it also kinda makes me think of rolling scenery (dunno if u get that or not). tho parts of the track dont seem to me that they would intuitively fit together they actually make for quite easy listening, thats big props on your part mate. and cheers 2 for bringing this comp to everyones attention, i know i had fun with it :)
sketch
Yeah, I think I do. Would it be anything like flying at a low altitude over some hills or maybe the dunes of a beach?
And I think you nailed it, this is geared to be a mellow house track. Not in the traditional 'go-out-n-dance' kinda groove, but the 'kick-back-with-the-big-headphones' way. So it's sorta like dance music for doing homework to or something.
As for the comp, it was an ad on here, but I figured it needed to be highlighted so that more people would discover it. Glad ya dug it. Later on!
not bad...
has a nice flow to it, could use a bit of beefing up tho in my opinion. shame about losing the flp file, a pad in the background of this track would have worked wonders. sounds like u have an ear for dnb but technically u have a bit to learn (not a bad thing), i recommend warbeats.com they have a lot of fl tuts on simple things which are immeasurably helpful, a little more technical know how and i think youl do well
peAce, sketch
nice drums bro, i think some glitch would have gone well on them at some point, but yeah sick track man good energy n transitions. i like the vocal samples 2 they sound awfully serious haha
sounds guud, i gt FL7 myself, never been a big fan of the FL clap tho to be honest, but apart from that this track is mean, i like the gat melody (is that fl slayer??) all the other sounds mesh together well, very nicely done cuz
buzzy.. i chose the name sketch for similar reasons. 4 my ears this track is almost finished, (nice use of the scratch by the way) if u add another change up (or down) at the end to extend the track by a minute or so and an outro of course. then all it needs to complete it is some lyrics. get someone to lay down a ryme and this track will be packaged and sealed in my opinion.
also i was just thinking this track has a real smooth flow, it would be a good starting point for a quality dubstep track, if ur into that sort of thing...
yo, mean track bro. not really my sort of music so i cant offer you much advice sorry, but the changeups all fit together well, sounds like uve got a good bass range in there too (iv only got computer speakers at the moment, but i think i can hear some sub). dees track bud keep on it
let me be the first to congratulate u hombre. been a while since ive checkd your track list, leaps n bounds mate. i was likin where this track was going even before that filthy bassline wound its way in, nice touch with the keys in there and of course the signature glitch. id like to give this track another download when its finshed off, u should flip me a message wen u upload the final cut.
chur
thanks bro! You don't like the filthy bassline? it does sound kind of disjointed, i agree, I need to figure out a better way to blend it. I definately need some level tweaking, add a couple more breaks to the drums and such. I'll let you know when I make a final mix. On a separate note, I finally uploaded that fear and loathing collab (sorry it took forever) I am still having trouble making the bass less boomy. We should collab again! This time I won't drag my feet as much I promise! Thanks for the kind words!
ive had a listen to all your tracks so far man, im into the darker end of the spectrum thats why im reviewing this one. good work on all your tracks mate theyr all just short clips at the moment but i dont think theyr far off finished, for instance what uve got here on this clip is pretty much the bulk of a track u just need some slight variations n change in atmosphere (breakdowns n interludes etc) maybe throw in an intro and you could probly stretch it out to 3-5 minutes. not havin a dig at u in any way, all your tracks are fine pieces of work, just eager to hear one of these as a full length track.
peace
thank you sketch . my thoughts have been pretty scattered so its hard right now to see anything through. for the last six months ive spent no time in the "studio" but this websites helping me get back in it.
great arrangement n mastering m8, personally i think the kick sounds sweet as, ever so slightly offbeat. im working on a track with some of reis loops that will most likely develop into some kind of grotesque dnb heavy metal mashup abortion n im fully enjoying hearing his music in a completley different soundscape in this track. very nicely done bro, im in awe
cheers bro :)
yer the kick has a late reverb effect that makes it sound that little bit off beat, thus creating a sort of dubby feel (at least that is what i tried to do LOL)
can't wait to hear your tune, do let me know when uploaded ;) cheers bro
likin the breakdown in the middle 2, i see what you mean about reverb on the vocals. dunno if id call this a mess of noise, it sounded pretty cohesive 2 me, you have some fine mastering skills... i do hate mondays tho
peace
that vocal sounds a little like the lose it sample from spor.. love the breakdown esp around 3mins but i think the synth mite be a little thin (could just be my shit speakers). will sound mean wen u add the effects for the drums.

i have one of those old school home entertainment systems and this track nearly killed my sub. looks like the 3 years was definately worth it, skets a fav

Thanks for taking the time to listen, man. Any artist knows that nothing makes one happier than when the fuits of his labor are enjoyed by others... except its not labor. Its way too much fun to be work. I'll check out some of your music shortly.

i think u shud keep the snare as it is i like the reverb u have on it. the 'twinkly' sounds need something though, maybe some glitchyness or some distortion i dunno, theyr just too bright they dont really fit. i dont think u should take them out just fuck with them a little id say. that said, decent track bro, doesnt really need alot done to it, peAce.
