What's up Micky,
I just got off work and noticed
You had listened to one of our vintage tracks.I still remember how blown away I was when you told me you played Bass, and then sent me this Bassline. It's still one of my favorite Basslines ever.

PEACE from the Beach.
Hope to se you soon "Potnah"...

Hi Paul, what a great idea to use this classic as a base... it works so well that I'm surprised no one has thought of this idea before. I particularly like the part from 2:22 onwards, where it gets funky, with that guitar and stuff. Good job on the track. Cheers, Micky

on Black Peter by Zootman
Hey Chris, this is a nice track that has a slightly lost atmosphere. But it also breathes a lot of space, which somehow reminds me of a David Lynch film. Perhaps impressions of your homeland also play into the music. Anyway, it was worth finishing the track... very nice work.
Cheers,
Micky

Hi Micky, thanks a lot for listening. Yes, I do actually wonder quite often if environment/landscape influences music. I would say creativity in general does though, for sure. Cheers Chris

on Bad Luck by theHumps
Hey Wayne, man, that rocks! You're really into this harder style. I once had a Gibson Les Paul Standard and initially sent it over the Guv'nor, then later used it over a Marshall tower and I have to say that the Guv'nor didn't look that bad in comparison, of course not a replacement, but not bad after all. I think the synth fits exactly - for my taste it's better than a guitar solo in this track. A great listen .. You are always convincing...
Cheers,
Micky

I'm glad you liked it, wasn't sure how this would go over. It's a bit loud and in your face with my usual, down on his luck, complaining character that I've been developing these past few years. Hope people don't take these songs as my personal life, man I'd be one sad sack, lol.

The theremin works, I had no intention of putting anymore guitar down, there's enough going on with the distortion on the guitars and the bass. I wanted the solo to be the theremin, it cuts thru the thick guitars, plus it's freekin' cool, lol!

Wayne

Thanks Mickey!

Robbie, I could sign all the comments here. I could search for more superlatives to express my enthusiasm for this unique, dazzling, otherworldly, beautiful musical creature, but let me put it this way: This is so very you... simply Awesome!

Om, Chris. There's something Indian, raga-like about it somehow. Smoke. hmm Can I draw? Incredibly beautifully produced in this idiosyncratic tempo and the economical instrumentation. Few can do that. Time for me to smoke... Groovy

T576 replied 20th Aug 2023 - 2 years ago
Micky get off those knees. It's guitar players like you who keep me grounded. Your guitar playing is excellent in my opinion. Not being modest, being truthful. You get your guitar story told in quite a professional way. We won't discuss that voice of yours, because the comment will be too big to fit on the page. LOL. In all seriousness though, it's always appreciated when you stop by and comment. PEACE. T576 OUT.

Well Micky we both can't be kneeling down, because that funk song of yours I commented on, I'm just now getting up, so don't think you the only one kneeling down. LOL. I'll make a deal with you. Let's both keep making some powerful productions to share here on the Loop.

Hi Nick, this is a really well done track. I like the good sound, the use of the synths, the good placement of the elements, yes, the depth. I also like the arrangement and how you use your vocals. Sounds very professional.

Hello Potnah, nice to see you again. It's been a long time... And you sound better than ever!!!
I'm sooo uneducated musically, but could it be that you could classify it as Jazz? May I hope to see you again soon over in the hangar?

on your no longer here now by dimestop
Hi Paul. Unfortunately, I don't have enough time to be here all the time - various obligations in daily life simply don't allow me to make music for long periods of time, which I deeply regret, but have to accept. Well, I checked back here at LM and heard your track, so I thought I'd write you something. You made good use of Matthias' track and did it justice - I think it has become a wonderful statement that should speak from the soul of anyone who has experienced this kind of loss before. So do I. You can't understand it. There is no solution and no answers. For me, the only lesson I could ever take from this was that you should always be aware of what you have in others WHILE you have them! When they go, they stay alive in our hearts. And one should also think of those who have no one to remember them... all the homeless and failed souls...
Thank you for sharing your feelings with us!
Enjoy another beautiful day!

hi Micky i fully understand time issues, im finding it difficult to give music as much time of late, the new job isn't the job i was sold at interview, im away from home far too much, sometimes i leave home Monday morning and dont go home till Thursday, but another laboratory are interested in me joining them, they been trying to poach me, i would have more choices with them, working and training new staff in the laboratory, but with the option to go out on site too. they are based 20 mins away from my home as apposed to being 2 1/2 hrs away like my present one, im hoping to tie something up with them in the next couple of weeks.
thanks for checking me out and showing support my friend, your time is always appreciated

on A dark dreamy day by joecramer
Unbelievable what you have conjured up there.... really a journey. Obviously you know about traveling without moving. I hear a further development of the Berlin School, among other things... Big compliments, Joe!

joecramer
joecramer replied 12th May 2023 - 2 years ago
Thank you very much for this great compliment.
But actually I can't adopt it at all. I actually lived in Berlin for 2 years and at that time even made electronic music with some "real" Berlin guys, but we really had absolutely nothing to do with any "wiered" old "bores" :)
Back then we were about 19-20 years young and that's now 35 years ago. Musically we moved more in the direction of electronic post-punk, EBM, techno and wave and were miles away from established stuff) wonderful times :)
And now I've been living in Hamburg for almost 25 years. But I don't have any "connections" with the Hamburg school either....
I take it all on myself.
I learned a bit of the recorder at school, with a bit of sheet music and so on, then had a few guitar lessons and briefly tried to learn the clarinet and accordion. But I mostly failed on both :)
So actually no serious musical training or any theoretical plan.
I do it all (creating, composing, playing, importing, writing, singing, mixing and doing, completely on my own and only according to "my feeling"
If there is one school that I follow or that I expand, it is that of my life :) the - Joe Cramer school of one's own path -
Thanks again for your kind and appreciative words.
I was really happy about it, precisely because it was penned by someone who has a much more "serious" idea about music than I do.

stay tuned Micky

Wie geht es dir? Micky,

This is one of those start/stop tracks I had in my DAW library. I happened to hear the Guitar tracks while browsing "Loopcloud" yesterday. A few hours later I was posting it on LM. You are spot on about the "Panning" ordinarily I would have "spread out all the individual parts to give them spaces of their own as well as making the track more dynamic. I'm kinda still in the learning curve since I don't have my "Prius RIP" to use as my final ears, for the last 10 yrs. I'm going to need to find me a new pair of ears I can trust. LOL...

Thanks for stopping by and giving this track a listen.

PEACE from the Beach TTYL...

Hello Michael
That sounds like a hit! Very nice atmosphere. Even though it's Rock (heavy guitars, powerful drums) it's kinda chilled. I'm driving down a beach road in a convertible with the stereo on full blast, the wind blowing through my clothes and I feel FREEDOM.... Very nice track!

What's up Micky,

We are going to need some Dylithium crystals
for the ship, it hasn't left the hangar in a while.

I'm glad you got the chance to stop by and hear this
track. I'm looking forward to our next "Maiden voyage"
hopefully coming soon..

I'm here @thehangar ready for a new adventure.

BTW... I'm taking this track down and putting up
another tracks that I wrote today.
