I'm really glad you liked it, Scott .
All the merit goes to Chris . His music was so much inspiring
Did my best to honor his instrumental, though I'm not totally satisfied with my singing . I guess I was too moved to sing it right .
Thanks a lot for your friendly comment,
Cheers :D
Windycity's head must be somewhere other than his neck or he's listening to this track on a shoulder held boom box! The mix is perfect on my Studio Quality system! I think this is just another example of jealousy. Also, did I read anywhere in your comments that you wanted help from anyone less qualified than you? I don't think so. Remember, Those who can...Do. Those who can't...put down those who can!
Thought I'd check out your jazz and found this little jewel. I doubt most here can appreciate this style, but us REAL musicians certainly can. You're the 'real deal' my friend. Wish we had more like you, here.
I'm very grateful for this review Scott and the song flowed so well it was a pleasure.
The tone was A Telecaster played through a Zoom pedal...yea,I know..go figure!!
I got lucky with the Zoom,I had to turn a lot of knobs to get it right and I wanted to complement ImproveWithError's track the best I could.
There ya go...It's happnin' now! Thanks for keeping the bass at a reasonable level. Whoever started the styles of music where the bass is so damn loud you can't hear anything else, should be shot! I want EVERYTHING to be heard in my mixes.
As mentioned, My Italian friend, Franco, and I are working on a track with one of your pellas. It's probably not what you're use to. Your vocals really shine through and it's very acoustic, so hope you will like it when completed. Will send a link your way, soon.
Although not a rap fan, I really got into the instrumentation on this one, James. Love your guitar work and the piano is great, too. If all rap was like this, I could actually get into it!
I just posted a track with my collaborative friends, and I was checking out some other tracks, but couldn't find a damn thing worth commenting on, so I thought I'd give you another Kudos on this track. I just don't know why it's so hard to find good music like yours on Looperman! I love commenting on other's tracks, but I'm just not going to comment on crap. Again...Great song!
Interesting piece you got here, SN. I almost didn't click it, since I'm not a big hip hop fan, but glad I did. To me I hear a nice cinematic piece that would work well as a movie soundtrack. Good work!
Well, yes - it's a million miles away from most things stuck in the hip hop section here. Most of which I find very generic and dull. There's no obvious genre for this one so I guess 'crossover' is sort of what it is. However, that tells you so little about it so I never put anything in that category. I thought I'd put this in hip hop and then people would get a big surprise. There's certainly not much hip hop with lead banjo and also not much with Eastern slide blues guitar. Thanks for deciding to click.
Cool track, Steve. Kinda makes you want to get up offa that thang and dance till you're satisfied! I think I wore out Roxy Music's Manifesto when it came out. I still have it in my digital collection.
Roxy has been my biggest influence in song-writing since day one. That being said, when it comes to Disco, I preferred the more artistic sounds from Roxy, Bowie, the Stones (miss you) and from the New Romantics, who took the bottom end of Disco and added synth sensibilities that exploded out of Sheffield.
Thanks for the listen and comment!
Why aren't you signed, yet!?! Your vocals are amazing. I'm going to send your link to my collab partner. We must do one of your songs. Maybe it's just me, but your vocals hit me like a boot to the head. I don't understand it, but maybe it's the French.
I agree with Foxdfive, I see one of your tracks and I have to check it out. I went through the first two pages of the 'featured tracks' trying to find something worthwhile to listen to before coming upon your track. You style is very haunting and interesting. Keep up the good work.
I've just listened to your delicious track and now I notice that you stopped by here . That's cool and I'm very happy you considered this little nothing as worth a listening, Scott .
I'll do, promise . Not sure I'll ever manage with happy tracks but I'll keep on trying ;)
Cheers,
Carole
It's Scott again from Scottb55. Franco and I started our own collab page, but I wanted to chime in and tell you I haven't forgotten about you. I finished up my latest project last night, so will be getting you a drum part for this track shortly.
