Hey Evan, this is loaded with some far out strings and things! That intro reminds me of an 80s song by a band called Diesel - "Sausalito Summernight".

For me this has sort of an Arabic or Middle Eastern vibe to it. Yeah, pretty neat effect there with the Wah, you could have stretched that out a bit more for sure!
I Dig it man !

What it is, Mr. Neo!?!

I will be listening to your Sausalito song now. Gotta know.

Interesting you say Arabic. I never had any kind of intentions for that. I'll take it!

The wah was short because I was getting clips all over the place. Pedal's wah is a bit crackly. You can hear a few toward the end of the line. I had it go linger, but it was distracting to me. I'll be messing with pitch-shifed wahs a bit more now.

You can not dig it, for I have dug it thoroughly!

Wow rock on!
Love it.
At 3.07 there is what sounds to me like white noise through a wha wha peddle.
Doesn't sound like it belongs there but ... I've nackered my speakers and am listening to this at the moment on two small pc speakers with one of those centre bass units which isn't bad for playing pool on Miniclip but for music .... well I'm off out to get me some new speakers and headphones shortly.
Love it though.

Hello!

I'm glad you liked the track! I'll listen to the wah part again, as it is an odd part. My biggest issue was the sudden drop of low-mid frequencies when the wah ends.

I hope you had good luck with the speaker and headphone purchase. I don't use monitor speakers. I do everything with headphones, then listen on five different systems and adjust accordingly.

Take care!

Gree-fuckin-tings

I have not been to a Sun Factory but I did go to Sun Studios in Memphis in 2013. And then visited The King's house nearby, with its incredibly low walls - perfect for keeping out absolutely none of his hordes of fans. I still don't get that.

This has a cool and badass vibe, with the intro quite the acoustic surprise. Sounds kinda folky and 12-stringy.
Yet another reverse lead-in to take us into the drums. I'm not specifically complaining about it here, just pointing out that maybe you've done it too often across your body of bass work.

First riff has balls and a different and fine tone from you. 0:30 guitar slots in nicely. Quite a cool melody.

1:00 killer trill. Badassery fading away to take us into the next section.

Drums are pounding and faultless. Mostly those Sintheticrecords loops?

1:46 key change to make things more progressive.

2:00 octave bass jumps more like funk bass. Not something you do often.

2:23 cool percussive tones. Lovely layering of percussion.

This is really far out progressive stuff. Not like my psychedelic stuff but something else. More like prog rock.

Running outta words so I'll finish the review another time.

Great production, no real suggestions so far.

Later, private parts investigator.

Top of the mid-evening to you.

I would not have guessed you would care about Elvis. I've never been into anything of his, but I did see one impressive video of him, half fat, sweating monsoons, out of breath at the piano, busting out "Unchained Melody". He looks severely winded before he even starts. Pulled it off like a fucking champ.

"Yet another reverse lead-in..... maybe you've done it too often"

I went through and listened to the intros of my tracks after you said this, and about 1 in 5 has a swell of some kind. Far too high. I've noticed that I've been using a lot of the same mechanisms for lead-ins and transitions of different kinds. Have to be more inventive. Thank you.

"Drums are pounding and faultless. Mostly those Sintheticrecords loops?"

Yes. If there is a snare in it, it is those sintheticrecord loops. Used four different ones, but layered taiko loops or midi percussion with them. A bit too much reverb already on those sinthetic loops. I added a touch of EQ, mostly a low-pass.

"This is really far out progressive stuff. Not like my psychedelic stuff but something else. More like prog rock."

That is really great to hear that you like it. I've been diggin this for a few weeks. I've been recording less. I've been getting frustrated easily, so I've just been recording a little at a time, not trying to force anything. When I'm not feeling it, I don't TRY to feel it. I think the last two tracks have benefited from that approach.

"Later, private parts investigator."

Anyone who doesn't investigate is a damn fool!! Though investigating privates for prolonged periods can lead to TWO kinds of hunches. ...Yeah.

I hope you are doing well. Tell the butler not to give out my e-mail. I've had enough problems. You do background checks, right?

Greetings!

Ah, yes. I added no VIs, nor did I even turn on the midi controller. Could still happen as I'm not married to the ending. Sintheticrecord's drums are great, but I wish I had them without all the cymbals, even though they added quite a bit to this track.

I won't bug you with the weather,.... but I will let you in on a secret. I used to be a necrophiliac till a rotten bitch split on me.

Supple X is not bad. You like to run words together to create puns. There's a probably a name for that.

How the hell was I supposed to get the Adam Sandler mosh-pitting reference? Definitely a long story to get to the punchline, which wasn't great, but I forgive you.

Don't know if I've heard an Adam Sandler album of comedy skits but I do remember a very funny song called At A Medium Pace, in which I think he goes on about shoving a shampoo bottle up his ass. You'll enjoy that one (not that I'm saying you're into shampoo-shoving).

I don't have any signs giving away my lair location. It's not open to the general public, just my special crew. So, we don't even get pizza deliveries. Gotta make our own.

Wind In The Willows is not at all fresh in my mind. I wasn't sure if you'd even have heard of it in Ozark country/Yankland.

This is how it came to me: the words "bass bro" or "bro of the basses" often go through my mind when I'm thinking of you so I was trying to come up with an alliterative greeting and go to "Bro Of Bro" and then "hall" just popped right in.

Never read Catcher In The Rye but then I'm no great reader even though I love words and ideas and stories. I have enjoyed reading at various points in my life and find it unlike anything else but just never seem to make time for it. I never read books at home, only when occasionally travelling on trains or planes. It's tricky on a bike or when kayaking.

I can't keep removing butler body parts or he won't be able to adequately perform his important buttling duties.

Damn, I've turned this track into our online chat page. I guess you don't mind. I wonder what percentage of your many track comments are mine? Might even be something like 20%.

Pasta urethra, baby (a Terminator 2 reference)

*Latin equivalent of "Yo, what's up, mothafucka?" and also very nearly your name backwards.

Very nice. Instruments blend well. Curious, how often do you make music? The drums toward the 1:50 mark are frantically paced. Crazy. Sounds like you just went apeshit. Guitar is topnotch. Unexpected outro. Keep rocking.....bro. peace

Manponic salutations, Bro of Bro Hall*.

I like your manpon idea. Makes me think of Nippon and apron.

If Big Pharma isn't working on my dick pill idea, what the hell is it working on? They need to drop all this silly Aids and cancer research and get on these alternate flavours right away. Humanity needs this. With more dick sucking, we can evolve and travel to the stars.

Just think: to get some head, you'd merely have to find out what sort of food a girl liked and then get that flavour. So, maybe Chocolate Chip Cookie or perhaps Hamburger and Fries With Extra Gherkins. Or, if you're a guy who prefers to be clean but your lady is of a dirtier persuasion, you could get Super Strength Old Dick Classic, just for her.

You could probably even get custom flavours created for you. So, you ask your lady's grandmother for her special apple pie recipe and then send that off to the pill manufacturer and they send you back Sarah's Grandma's Homemade Apple Pie flavour. That's going the extra distance to please your lady, right?

No other thoughts on your Quercus offering, just a late response to your thoughts.

"Have good mosh-pitting!"

No idea if that's a reference to the wedding I said I was going to. I went and it was OK. No mosh pit, which is a damn shame seeing as the groom is an extreme metaller and his bandmates (and other former bandmates) were all there. Not a single bit of metal played by the DJ, which I think is just plain wrong.

"Governments aren't corrupt. Where did you get that wild idea?"

A good few times I've had Special Forces types creep up on me in my lair as I'm knocking out some riffs. Sliderman normally stops them from tunnelling in but sometimes I have to deal with them myself. A good Ozark resonator uppercut to the jaw usually does the job. That's one heavy, solid guitar. I've had to relocate the lair a few times but they keep eventually tracking it down. Must be a mole inside my operation. Could be the butler so I shall investigate.

Good luck once again with tend icing.

*A Wind In The Willows reference ie Toad of Toad Hall. I imagine you living in an Ozark country castle named Bro Hall.

Supple X (Sup, Alex)

" With more dick sucking, we can evolve and travel to the stars. "

Nothing more profound has ever been said, period.

"Have good mosh-pitting!"

Adam Sandler had an album of comedy skits in the late 90's, called "What The Hell Happened To Me?". One particular skit was called "The Goat", where one guy shows his friends a talking goat that he knew growing up on the block. He, and his friends are older, and stop in on their way to a reggae festival. The goat is owned by an abusive alcoholic old man who is passed out inside the house, while the goat is tied to the bed of a truck parked in the back-yard. There is much reminiscing and remembering good old days of the goats abuse, shame and neglect. The goat tries to convince them to take him to the reggae festival and join in all the "mosh-pitting" that goes on there. In the end, they just get his hopes up and then leave him in the yard, alone. As they walk away, the goat yells "Have good Mosh-pitting!!".

"I've had Special Forces types creep up on me in my lair"

The butler is not at fault. It is your lack of realistic facade. The sign reading "Alex's Enclave of Treachery and Naughtiness" is pretty fucking conspicuous. Need to lose that, pronto. We'll go with "Smith Drafting and Design". Too boring to stir interest, to common to stand out, and actually not a lie. A small sign on the door always says "Back In 10 Minutes!". Instead of Pyrite, you wield a plectrum. If someone does get inside, a smoking hot/empty-headed receptionist in the lobby basically just tells people to take a seat as the main guy is in a meeting and can't be bothered. The lone chair in the lobby is directly under a very well fed air vent, blowing 40 degree air on the waiting person. Bjork is definitely on the muzak, and that shit is rockin hard.

Wow. Wind In The Willows. Been a while. How is that fresh on your mind? Do you think of it often? I guess I think about "Catcher In The Rye" a lot. Always seemed interesting how Holden Caulfield's paranoid mind worked. (Phonies)

If you are dead-set on removing an extremity from the butler, the big toe is a really important one. Cut one off, and he'll never fuck up again. Gotta have at least one, otherwise you just keep falling inward and looking like you shit yourself.

Talk to you later.

It sounds good. It's nice to hear something different from the usual on here. I suggest lowering the volume of it and raising the beats. Also a few effects with EQ and Cutoffs would be good for the track.

Yarr, homey

could easily catch on if someone like Kanye West decided he wanted a new pirate thug image. Perhaps he'll be scaling ships with a cutlass between his teeth but with the blade the wrong way round so cutting his cheeks and making it uncomfortable to talk/rap. That might, just might, shut him up.

I had not considered that HypnoBassBro might be a superhero but that makes sense. I guess his main/only superpower would be hypnotising people using the awesome bass frequencies he effortlessly generates.

But let's not have him fighting Sliderman: let them team up (on hoverboards, of course). With the The Slide's shimmering high tones and The Bro's low rumble, low and high end will be nicely covered - just need a bit of middle to balance things out. And/or a superhero drummer.

I don't think it's good etiquette for musical superheroes to take out arrogant dick musicans so Sting and KWest will probably be safe. But maybe our superheroes can contract out the hits to some torture-loving supervillains, absolving the former of any criminal culpability. So, like the CIA or similar using some proxy group/private contractor for their dirty work.

A shame you don't do lair wing excavation as I don't need any natural stone outcroppings. There is no lair facade - it's totally secret and deep underground. Only inner-earth mole people can stumble across it and they don't really count.

"There was no creation"

Yes - I feel like a bit of a musical impostor with the Tool cover as I do like to get deep inside my tracks by actually playing instruments and coming up with new shit. This cover will be badass when it's done and you will see some definite creativity. But for now it just seems like I'm screwing around with someone else's already fully realised creation.

Your mention of the plasma donation site frequenters reminds me of that mad So Much Room Game post I made on doing a month of dick-sucking to test out some pharmaceutical pill offering alternate dick flavours.Shame the post has gone forever as it was one of my favourites.

Sorry to hear about your tendonitis so good luck with a month of bitch-icing and non-recording. Evening wrist ice packs sounds annoying. And cold.

Really, how has this not been made!? If my junk tasted like "Andes" chocolate mints, I would never STOP getting head. I'd be worn down to a 3 centimeter nub, but still with the full original urethra length. Like a really short tampon. A man-tampon. A "Manpon",... that pees.

Word up, bass bro

is actually my favourite simple, jokey, Evisma-specific* greeting but I decided to experiment with alternative greetings quite a while ago so it's my difficult challenge to come up with a new one each time. If you do become a hypnotherapist, or hypnotherapy CD voiceover artist, I could call you HynpoBassBro, which sounds pretty cool.

No other view on this track, just replying to your reply. Are you still scaping the land or have you got that other job yet? If you can scape/bore through solid rock, I could do with adding a new wing to my subterranean lair so that I can expand the studio. And the evil. Just a little job offer if you've got the time and the tools.

I like your Tool chaps joke - hadn't thought of that. I bet they have a Third Eye Open logo right in the middle of the ass.

"bowed cello would be nice for taking place of the vocal line"

Could work well. I've temporarily abandoned my first ever cover song production because it was getting me down a bit. Replacing those vocals is really hard - it's not just that they're great but it's more their role in the track. If you take them away, you're kind of left with just a load of cool riffage. I have also added some other psychedelic/ambient elements in order to push that side of things as it's no longer a song so needs something else going on.

Tempo has been doubled so that it's now a pumping hard rock/dancefloor synth riff-fest. And I've chosen not to play any instruments on it. The challenge is how to rearrange the original parts to make something enjoyable. No chance of being as good as the original but that's not exactly surprising. I guess that's what's kind of disappointing about it and part of the reason I don't do cover songs. I've barely played a single one since I was about 17.

"donate plasma for some extra bow cash"

One of your typical, leftfield bits of creativity. I looked up plasma donation and it said you can get something like $200 a week doing it. Not much though enough for a bow. But I could get more money for the butler's kidneys or testicles. He's not permitted to use the latter so I think they will be sold.

Things are OK with me though I've hardly played any rocking guitar in months.

More music coming soon.

Take care.

*Or any other bass playing bro, I guess

Yarr, homey. (I'm still waiting for the pirate-thug thing to catch on)

"HynpoBassBro"

OOOh, and an obvious adversary for Sliderman. You know,.... there will have to be hoverboard battles, as mentioned in past conversations. Pretty sure Sting being shamed and abused came into play there as well, which still needs to happen. But no matter what, Kanye West MUST die some kind of horrible death. He's been added to the arrogant "artist" list.

"Are you still scaping the land or have you got that other job yet?"

Still landscaping till around winter. I also do not do lair wing excavation, however, I can install a professional irrigation system and create beautiful natural stone outcroppings and earthen berms all around the unassuming facade of your lair. It would look like someone lives there, and he isn't just plotting evil.

"it was getting me down a bit"

Understood. That happens to me when I'm not into what I'm recording. That Tom Petty cover with me "singing" was mentally draining, simple as it was. There was no creation.

I've never donated plasma, and I have no butlers to harvest organs from, so I settle for working overtime. I live not far from a plasma donation site, and man,.... no way. The people I've seen who have come from there, walking down the street with a bandage around their arm,.. every one looks like a junky. People who sit on their ass on Welfare and say they can't get a job. Tax dollars. Maddening.

Slow-going on the track I'm on. Not really been into it. Spend too many evenings doing the same thing, need to take a break. I may not record for a month. I have a whole room dedicated to it, so I will have to come in and dust it from time to time.

I've been having to keep ice packs on my wrists in the evenings also, so I shouldn't be playing any guitar. Setting blocks for retaining walls and landscape beds gives me tendonitis and I've got carpel-tunnel that makes everything go numb, so I gotta ice these bitches down. 15 minutes on, 45 0ff.

Hope you find your mic. I'll let you know if I see it anywhere. I would like to know if it sends you postcards in the mail from around the world.

Hey there! I am totally enjoying this one! You've played some amazing parts here, and the basses are turning my brain to mush... part of why this won't be as in depth as some of your other comments here... the other part is due to the shot of tincture. Either way, this really rolls! I think the part after the tempo change is my favorite part, the guitars are so melodic, and with the bass almost seems to form a counterpoint... that can't be bad. Seems like you were going for more of a live drum kit sound, in relation to the panning someone mentioned, so I get what you were doing I think. Well, killer track! Good to hear you doing your thing! Fave!

Hello Mr. Spivkurl.

I'm very glad you liked this one, and I apologize for the brain mushery. There is a metric Shi'tunn of bass guitar in this one.

As for the shot, I hope it was measured in fluid ounces, not cubic centimeters. Ain't nobody got time for that.

Hell-mothafuckin-O

I am feeling the roughness here. Quite a Mean Motor Scooter type of sound.

Intro is kind of dirty trucker music. I'm sure they don't all listen to this kind of thing, though. Probably pop crap as much as the next person.

0:30 it comes alive with greater beauty from the lead guit fiddle. And you classic palm muted bass g. One of your most signaturey (?) sounds.

0:58 descending, cascading twinkly synth parts. A nice touch and a touch of niceness.

1:38 new weird bass riff in the background. Not obviously bass but it's a good bet that it is. That's generally a good bet in your music.

2:18 psychedelic busy riff. Might be some delay on it.

2:33 pushing shirt dirtier with more riffage in your veritable riff fest.

2:46 abrupt change (in tempo?) is a good one. Opens out into more beauty again.

Congratulations also in general for breaking free from those Tool chaps.

I have restarted work on my guitar-free synth-and-drums only 46&2 cover though it's hard work as replacing Maynard's voice is tough/impossible. Without it, it's right now just a bit of a banging riff fest. Fine riffs but I think I must make up for the lack of vocal with psychedelic ambience or something.

The Man Is A Motherfucker is a very possible track title, no?

I bid you haha and bye bye.

Greetings.

Yes, I have indeed quit trying when it comes to greetings. You seem very good with it. I'll stare at the screen forever and come up with crap. Not my strong area.

"2:46 abrupt change (in tempo?)"

Yes. 140 to 90, and probably my favorite part of the track.

"breaking free from those Tool chaps."

I've actually not worn my Tool chaps in quite some time. Too many tassels, and it's hard to take myself seriously wearing ONLY them and a pair of red socks,... but there is no other way to go when I pull them out of their hiding spot.

"I have restarted work on my guitar-free synth-and-drums only 46&2 cover"

This is awesome news! A bowed cello would be nice for taking place of the vocal line. Much like Third Eye Open. Have your rowing butler go donate plasma for some extra bow cash!

Hope all is well.

One would think that if you're going to invite someone to your yard, the courteous thing would be to clean it up, yes. My suggestion is to carry a set of golf clubs in your work truck, and use it to clear a path. But always swing toward the house.

It's interesting that you say you came up with the opening bass in a truck. When I originally listened to this, I thought it had the same kind of feeling you get when you look in the rear view mirror and see a big-ass Peterbilt closing the gap with a quickness.
Speaking of that bass, is that the same one as the distorted bass behind everything when it starts rocking? I ask, because I'd like to hear more of it as a front line feature. Specifically, if you traded the clean bass from 2:05-2:19. Play the same riff, just with the other bass. It's already progressing there, why not make it a heavier summbitch? Then again from 2:32-2:45 before it drops off into the clean melody. The contrast might give it a more dramatic contrast. But, as always, that's just my opinion.

The lead that starts at 0:30, freakin' awesome, man. I honestly think that's my favorite part. There's a whole lot of emotion being conveyed there. There's a great contrast between that and the funky bass that comes in at 1:37. It goes from peaceful and dreamy into a more sinister sound that sets us up for the heavier, relentless mid section.

That slide at 2:45-2:46 into the transition is perfect. Bringing back the floaty lead is a good way to bring it back down into a pretty smooth ending.

I know I've said it on a few of your tracks before, but this one tops them all, man. At least as far as I'm concerned. I think it just goes to show that you're definitely coming into your own sound. I don't remember which track it was that I had said it, but I mentioned you tapping into your full creative potential soon. If this isn't it, it's pretty god damned close.

I think the only complaint I would have is the lack of panning on the drums. At least with the toms anyhow. Even some of the hats and rides. I think with them being so busy and all mostly panned to the center, it kind of bleeds together, and makes it a little difficult to pick out individual pieces.
The side stick/wood block sounding perc that comes in at 2:46 has a nice wide effect though. That sounds good there.

Overall, I think this deserves a spot on the "What Are Your Favourite Tracks On Looperman" thread. When I listen to this one, I don't think of Oak as the title suggests. (Unless you're going for a more majestic relation.) It sounds very automotive to me. Kind of like an audio interpretation of Spielberg's 1971 flick, "Duel".

Alright, that's it for mow. Keep peace with the bees, and may the beard be with you, my friend. But, I wouldn't let the bees use the beard as a means of peacekeeping. That could get messy, one way or another.

Take care, man.

Yo, yo, frisbee.

"My suggestion is to carry a set of golf clubs in your work truck, and use it to clear a path. But always swing toward the house."

Made me laugh. That's as close as I get to an LOL. I've though about shoveling up the dogshit and putting it in a hidden place near their front door. I usually settle for the middle of their path to a bird-feeder or shed. Somewhere THEY walk. I don't want to touch it, but it would be great to get some on their hose sprayer, so when they step in it going to their shed, they have to spray it off of their shoes and never know it's all over their hand now. But ain't got time for that.

"I don't think of Oak as the title suggests. (Unless you're going for a more majestic relation.)"

"A Quercus Among Acers" is "An Oak Among Maples". I really liked this track, and felt it was stronger and more potent than some of my others. I was hoping nobody thought I meant "Acres" and misspelled it. Just the botanical names for oak and maple. I really have a deep rooted pet-peeve when it comes to spelling and grammar. It maddens me to see the misuse of "There, their, and they're". This site,...... OOOHHH,...... this site. I feel ignorance is the biggest embarrassment of all,..... next to hypogonadism.

"the same kind of feeling you get when you look in the rear view mirror and see a big-ass Peterbilt closing the gap with a quickness. "

That's me, except it's a Chevy 3500 with a flat dump bed and wooden side-boards. Bitch is bowed like a hammock. She's seen some weight in her 19 years of life. (I waited till it was 18 before I slid my finger into it's gas tank for the first time,)

"Specifically, if you traded the clean bass from 2:05-2:19. Play the same riff, just with the other bass. It's already progressing there, why not make it a heavier summbitch? Then again from 2:32-2:45"

Pretty sure I can try that.

"the lack of panning on the drums"

Ah, yes. It is one of the things that is a bitch. The instrument I use for drums is the same as organ or strings. It's piano roll. I have to treat the whole kit the same. I don't have the processing ability to have a separate instrument for each drum or group of drums.

"I think this deserves a spot on the "What Are Your Favourite Tracks On Looperman" thread."

That means a lot. Unexpected, and humbly appreciated. I will be doing an update on this track tonight. Just some small stuff. Less jumble in the synth keys, and a few other small changes.

Thanks again for the kind words, respect, and just being a friend. The world has a shortage of good people, especially in Missouri, I guess.

Anyway, Thank you again Aaron. Your words and actions have made my week/month.

hello.

I really like that weird sound on first 8 bars haha.

This one seem to be constructed by alternating melodic and bass groove sections. Nice concept and it works very fine in here. Also the tempo change after the fast/loud section is very effective.

My favourite is 2:00 - 2:20. Interesting, powerful textures and good hi hat work!

Nice one!

Best to you, Alex

"weird sound on first 8 bars"

LOW bass guitar, then dropped an octave on one line. Mean as can be.

I played with the hi-hats quite a bit, considering it's one thing that Mr. Nomad says helps break the monotony.

Thanks again!

well stick me with a "Carnegiea gigantea".
I agree with Val-d first thing I thought of when listening to this is how far you have come and how diverse your song-writing is becoming.

"Carnegiea gigantea"

Never heard that botanical name. Missouri has zero cacti, besides the prickley pear. We have a lot of Yucca, but they don't really earn their keep.

"how far you have come and how diverse your song-writing is becoming"

I started here a few months before getting my own DAW, and only then was I able to do stuff myself. My friend Jeff had Cubase, and then Garageband, wanted to play music and record, but our styles didn't really mesh well. I was more dark/melodic, he was more bouncy/bluesy. He is good at what he does, we just weren't the right mix, so when I could, I broke off. Turns out I was doing nearly all of the writing, and he was adding guitar. There is an unfinished project that he started a long time ago called "Smokestack Hero" that is still sitting in Dropbox, waiting for him to do some kind of update.

Anyway, I wish I had found a way, back in the day, to record myself. I would probably be quite a ways ahead of where I am now. Looperman has been a part of every bit of it. There are some tracks still on here from when I was playing with Jeff. You can tell I wrote them, for the most part.

Thanks for the listen, it means so much to have people like what I make. I'm pretty alone at nights, and the music is what gets me through each one. Your kindness means a lot.

There do be more Nomad thoughts.

Tilt your head down a little and those thoughts will magically appear:

"I guess the secret hidden lair has a dress-code and OSHA regulations."

I don't do any paid employment in my subterranean Nomad lair. It's just for music making, kicking back with all my hot bitches and putting the finishing touches to my plans for world domination. I have to come up to the surface to get paid.

"I figured you could rock some ear-buds while villaining"

When at work, I can visit Looperman but can't play any tracks. They won't play at all so probably intentionally not got the Flasy player installed or something. Helps discourage people listening to audio/watching video while supposedly working.

I had to look up OSHA and it's simply what us UKers* call 'health and safety regulations'. I have none in the lair. Well, just one: a minimum two bitches at a time (safety in numbers).

I would prefer it if your title were There Do Be Juice. Mostly because I find 'doobie' a very silly word. And Doobie Juice is making me think of someone smoking away, with juice dribbling out of the end of their joint onto their shirt. Or, someone throwing a load of half-smoked joints into a blender and making a vile drink.

The story of your title is quite similar to that of my badass track The Bigger The Fatter The Better. You may remember that was me asking my mother what sort of pastry she would like me to fetch from the kitchen. Her answer was the title.

No, Joe Cramer's cartoon burglary doesn't seem that cartoonish and is probably exaggerated by the picture being so damn small. I never saw it as that until you pointed it out. Probably looks less weird when you see the full size picture.

Anyway: I didn't have any more to say about your nice track bro, just thought I'd reply to your replies.

Take good care of thee.

*A 100% joke term I made up based around the confusing difference between Great Britain, the UK, England, Ireland, the British Isles etc. I'm well aware you American chaps have no idea what or where Wales even is (clue: it's attached to England).

What I like the most about this one, (and most of your more recent ones) is how it's broke free from that "Tool sound" and soared into that Evan sound. You've definitely put a lot of heart and hard work into this one.

There's a lot of good things to say about this one. All of which, I will. But I'll have to come back to do it. Right now, work relentlessly beckons. It seems as if they own my soul anymore.

But for now, Sweet track Bro!!

later, man.

Sincere greetings and well wishes!

"it's broke free from that "Tool sound""

That is really great to hear. I've had that association for a long time, and have really been trying to do something different. I love(d) Tool's sound, and for a long time considered it to be the paradigm, but there is no growth through emulation. It served it's purpose getting me passionate about guitar playing, especially bass, but I had learned everything I could from it long ago. It's vestige is still found from time to time, but not prominent I hope. I've really just been trying to write what I want to hear, and what I hear in my head. At work, I use my phone's recorder to record guitar parts using my voice. Funny shit to listen back to, but the opening riff in this track was conceived while driving 6 tons of lime sand to a job-site for a three tiered patio I was building.

"Right now, work relentlessly beckons"

The Man is, indeed, a mother fucker. Today was a light-ish day for me. Trimming and mulching a residential home. Bees and dogshit are my true mortal enemies, even though I really appreciate honey-bees.

Is it not common courtesy, when having someone in your yard to work, to pick up all of your dog's shit-piles? Great Dane even, named Titan,.... stared at me through the window all day, just dying to tear a new hole in my ass. Yard full of shit. Infuriating. I make sure the meter-reader has a clear path, and I have a Maltese-Shi Tzu. (I wanted a German Shepherd,... and lost.)

I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this track. I did spend more time with it because I really liked it. There are parts in the middle that I'm not 100 percent on, but I'll get it there.

Take care, fellow facial hair brandisher! I may get a photo up on here again. It's been a while.
