Good to hear someone else doing Dylan covers! This is really well done! The vocals are especially good! Nice job programming the drums! Nice guitar and bass playing! I like this song! Great work!
Thank you Spivkurl.
I see you have also wandered down the Dylan road as well.
If you get a chance, you might enjoy a song I composed entitled "Hair Like Bob Dylan" posted here.
Inspired by the Martin Scorsese documentary "Bob Dylan: No Direction Home". A heartfelt tribute and typical arrangement for me, but with added fun of a Dylaneske harmonica break. Thanks again for the encouragement.

Oh man...dude...You are too kind. This started out as an experiment to see if I could discover the secret to the Felix Pappalardi Bass Tone. (Mountain/Cream/etc...) Just riffing about on a piano progression by my friend Mike Burgess. The vibe totally ignited the resulting guitar madness you hear and pretty much everything is first take. Though I did use a phrase or two over to cover a gap here and there. Otherwise it's a free form jam that literally just happened based on the inspiration of the moment...So happy you enjoy and I am so far behind in returning the favor by digging into your tracks. Will do as soon as I get through a stack of client projects. You have me smiling this night bro. THANK YOU.
RG
Proxy,
I am honored to receive such a review.
Your words encourage me to persevere. Please allow me the privilege of including your comments in my Electronic Press Kit.
Thank you so much.

K, Thanks so much for the kind words. You know I just bumped this over from ACID into LOGIC to see if I can fix a few issues. Just now learning my way around Logic, but if I can get a handle on things I'll try to knock off a rendition without the live ambience for you. You cats have me inspired. Thanks again. RG
Thanks Jamie. I have been trying to convince every band I have been in for the past 20 years to do this song only to be ignored. Decided to just dive in and have at it myself. Thanks for the encouragement.
Thanks so much John. The Zombie Podcast I have been doing some work for entitled "We're Alive" is midway through season 2 and it just surpassed 3 million downloads on iTunes and Zune. Of course I get compensated in pizza, plus I get to hang out with some fascinating actresses and other interesting creative types...but the experience is priceless. Hope to garner opportunities for some of the juicy main theme parts next season. Your kind review encourages me to persevere. In the mean time i am snaking as much pizza as possible. Thanks John.
VickyDan,
Thank you so much.
I'm always cautious about posting such personal expressions, though I must admit my Looperman friends have always been kind. I am encouraged by your review to post more such expressions. Thank you again.

This is so amazing, I want to upload this to my youtube, may I? How should I credit you? Is there a site I can send my viewers too.
And if you are going to say no, I have this plea: This will not make you lose money, nor I am gaining money from this. In fact you will get more listeners with the greater social networking presence.
Thanks UGR.
I would be honored..
Any credits appreciated. Perhaps include our Looperman affiliation as well.
Please do look me up on youtube, etc.

Peres, Thank you for taking the time to listen and making the effort to comment. Such positive encouragement may well be the difference in just being considered or actually acquiring the main theme project for the show. Thanks for the props. I am encouraged and inspired. Voltage
I've listen to your music before and I am still impressed.
This track is some of your best work in my opinion.
I hope one day I become talented enough to ask for some of your time in order to lay down something specific for me.
Have you ever listened to EDDIE HAZEL?
BKM,
Thank you for the kind review. Eddie Hazel is beyond me, but thank you for the thought. Your mention that this may be some of my best is much appreciated as this one took more time than pretty much anything else I have posted here. The project provided a great learning experience that I am excited to apply to the next venture. I may be able to hook up on a track one day, but for now i am scrambling to catch up, especially here on Looperman.
Thanks for the encouragement. It truly makes the effort worthwhile.

ACOUSTIC LADYLAND, Nice title, nice sound.....your talent is quite evident in this song...It puts you in a relaxing mood....I think I'll have a glass of wine!
BKM,
Finally able to get on Looperman to thank you for your kind encouragement.
This one has a deep personal connection in my life. Happy you like it and only wish we could share a glass of wine.

A-4,
Your comment on balance is more appreciated than I can express here. This project took a full 2 months to accomplish. I can not even try to calculate how many total mix variations exist on my hard drives.
What is a breeze to do in using loops in Acid, FL, etc...can take a great deal of time to accomplish when you roll your own.
Tried everything i could get to in regard to eq, compression, panning, verbs, delays, multiband, the oft neglected Amplitude, etc..etc..etc...
Finally things came into focus. Learned a great deal on this one. Should make the next expression even better. As for the soul thing, I feel comfortable with the signal flow of the tools i use. Strat, Line 6 POD Version 1, track into Either ACID (as in this case), Sonar or whatever happens to be within reach when the muse visits. Various hardware recorders...and so forth.
I produce a real guitarist...(I'm a career bassist) who prefers we mic various cabinets and speakers, rooms, boutique amps and such. That's worthy of the time and effort as he can shred, but for what i do it is simpler, quicker and easier to simply dial up a tone on the POD and track quantity. Edit out the madness and there you have it...guitar.
Thanks for the props and thank you for taking the time. Balance is precious, elusive thing indeed.

nice guitar work man, you are really talented, this song could be arranged to have some vocals and really stand out a lot. Nice job well worth the listen.
IWE,
Thanks and love your tag.
My process has always been trial and error.
This one took awhile and it took a lot out of me, but this project has been very fulfilling as well.
The guitar track is a composite of 2 takes. Just riff like there is no tomorrow, start editing the shred from the worthless riffs and stitch the transitions together. Many folks hear a vocal and more concise arrangement. Great, maybe someday, but the purpose of the project was to find a particular bass tone unique to one Felix Pappalardi (Mountain, Cream, etc...). The resulting final mix took no less than 8 weeks to accomplish with dozens of variations on each element. I'll take what I learned and move on.
Your encouragement helps big time in this regard as I crawl back in the mix matrix, guitar in hand.
Voltage
glad to see you active and rockin it like this.
wow.
i recently bought an electric guitar and pedal [multi-fx] and cant see myself ever playing as great as this.
i read all the reviews and the one about needing more space..i disagree, i believe this song has so much to say that it is exactly what it is..no one ever told steve vai to space it out..lol
S7,
Thank you and my apology for the delay in response.
This one will always be special to me. It started out as a simple tone quest in search of a particular bass sound. A great deal of time went into the post production element as I ran into one wall after another before the mix definition finally came into focus. Learned a lot...Hope it all helps to make the next expression become reality quicker...and clean.
Thanks again....hit record.
