Hey, you're a Manchester lad, aren't you? Certainly hope everything is ok with you and yours during the tough time your city is going through right now.
Music aside, (cool and interesting, btw) Best Wishes!
Yeah, I had a few friends steward the gig, thankfully none were harmed.
I'm still in shock by it, where it happened used to be a haven to the "alt" kids from all across Greater Manchester, a place to escape the daily hostility & violence of scallies (chavs) and come together. I kissed my first girl there, first time getting pissed, wrecked, met my best friends, went to my first gig at the MEN and countless adventures.
Spent many nights being silly teenagers in that station.
Might sound a bit silly but that area is very sentimental to a lot of people.
I still can't believe it, I didn't think this kind of thing would affect me so badly, I pray it doesn't happen again.
Thanks for stopping by man, I've got a new tune in the works fueled by the whatever it is I'm feeling right now.
Damn some hardcore DnB shiz right here!
It's not the synths or tunes that make up these kind of songs, but the complexity and awesomeness of rhythm comprehensions and you f-ing passed that man!
Your track is so massive that the looperman spectrum analyser broke, good job!
So, normally this kind of music doesn't really suit me. But man, this was quite good. I like the growls at the beginning! There is one instrument after the growls that has some reverb. A little less reverb would maybe help the clarity. But that's a personal thing, I am a big fan of using really small amounts of reverb for instruments. I think the vocals are quite good! In my opinion you don't have to change them. They fit the style of the track! And on the subject on how to continue. I could not, for the love of me, help you with that. I tried thinking about it, but I can't. I am sure you will find something! :)
bit funky bit aggresive which is nice. Personally i expected some more sounds to kick in, it stays a bit empty for me. Gigging this should be done under a freeway exit pass with a lot of amphetemines : )
Interesting drums that lead into the part about 30 seconds. Just a bit different to make me go back and listen to it a few times. The drums fading out during many parts of the song was certainly a nice touch. A couple of those growl-ly sounds caught me by surprise. Percussion and the varied electronic sounds, in the forefront and those set back in the mix, made it fun to listen to and listen closely for something else to pop out from nowhere.
For a first draft it felt like you put quite a bit into making it. No loss of pumpitude happening here, nonstop energy. I must admit I'm a little pooped after listening to this! lol
A layman comment :
It's very minimalist and nevertheless there's a great deal of variations. really energetic with breaks which don't let you enough time to breath!
:)
I Like the industrial aspect too!
At 3:46, the final effect (the roll) is amazing. Others times in the track may be?
great work
creative stuff you`ve got going on here Metabolic...I can`t honestly claim to be a D&B fan or know a lot about it but I know you did good work bringing this together & nailing the production values...and thats something we can all appreciate....good job man....Ed
duuuude, this track is insane! wikkid drums man..in all honesty this track makes me want to break stuff lol. anyways, i really dig this track. Good work man, i cant wait to hear whats gonna come out of that head of yours in the future.
Peace

OK, no problem about the late reply. Some people never bother. Some of those I have given up commenting on. Why bother if it seems your words have simply been ignored?
I appreciate that you have other stuff going on in your life. Hell, we all do. Or we at least hope we do.
Anyway: this is very promising work and I look forward to the two separate tracks. The heavy one will be totally badass, especially if sufficiently extended. You need to get back into more of your awesome guitar playing. I wish I could do it!
There can be a few exceptions, I was in correspondance with a fella from here a while ago, his communication was sparse given his unusual circumstance. I do detest the ignorant however.
Thanks dude, I can't wait to get back to it.
On that note! I'm not sure if you checked out Slimebolt, I used the guitar stems from one of my metal songs that I think you really dug. Here's a link if you're curious http://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/180143

I rarely use vox in my tracks, I'm kind of forcing it as I've noticed when I do use vox my music gets more attention.
I'm really stuck on what next, perhaps a four to the floor styled phrase or repeat what I already have and get to tweaking, difficult :/
Thanks for stopping by man :)

You know I often hear my music described as Industrial, but it's never been a genre that I've delved into.
@3:46 ahhh I think I heard what you heard there, a lot of potential for a new phrase.. Thanks for the inspiration dude :D
