I love it man, the singing, the piano. Really emotional man, great job on this.

Beautiful, Your voice has the distinct quality of a Neville brother. Lyrically this is also compelling, the drums are tasteful and add a nice accompaniment to the main piano chords. I was just thinking at 2:22 if you added a subtle gospel choir to 2:40 that this would take it over the top.

You have great vocal character Mykael...the kind that you either have or dont...comes with a nice subtle natural vibrato..like that rich sounding piano......You are off to a great start with this one...hope to hear your finished version (feel free to hit my contact button when you upload it)..I think you have the main ingredients here...well done...its good now,,,,going to be great soon...Ed

You have a really good voice, I'd give it more control of the front
line, with just a little less reverb just a touch...
The trick is the music helps you, not your voice helps the music...

Your vocals sound so much fuller when they are mixed in the middle. You have a distinct vocal sound, very loose and free, very natural and not forced.

You are certainly taking your talents in a positive direction with what you have done so far. Good luck finishing off this one, so far so good!

glad I had a chance to hear this project again.

I think the best way is to determine the chords of the song first, then (eventually) write the melody and record the vocal. Otherwise there might be a kind of a harmonic strangeness happening. There is a clash at 0:56 between drums and piano. Also I do not think this song really starts on the downbeat but that is only my personal opinion.

Anyway this an interesting take.

Looking forward to hear more of this sometime.

I was looking through your track, and definitely gravitated toward the jazz style. This is a really pleasing tune to hear, and you really do have so much vocal potential! Jazz is really a big part of my roots, though it takes a lot for me to listen to vocal jazz. I enjoyed this thoroughly though! I guess my only recommendation is to center the vocal recording. I understand if that's not what you were going for as well. I was trained to make mixes that translate to mono equipment, and panned vocals are often a culprit in this not working out. Anyway, it sounds excellent! Keep it up! Fave!

Mykael, outstanding vocal work. I suspect you are trying to mix your vocals into an already mixed track.....if so, it will be virtually impossible to get them to sit in the mix like you want them to.

I'm not criticizing your mixing skills (it sounds pretty good), but I think this has a ton of potential if mixed and mastered properly. That's the nit picking part of the review.

Now for the fun - man you have such great vocal chops. You have the potential to really be a star, you just need the right material and the right studio. You find that and dude, you are going to go places. Just remember I've got a bus and I can play a little guitar and piano as well as haul your equipment, haha.
