I think we have a similar approach to music. I like it, I think most of this is real live instruments (electronic drums maybe, but played live?), your real voice without too much processing (and what a voice it is man). Awesome.
One tiny thing is that your vocal, as great as it is, is a bit too loud in the mix. IF you reduce that a bit it will be even more pleasant.

Hiyas!!!! Thanks so much for comment/compliment. I am happy you enjoyed the track. You have got great ears! Yes, All instruments are red except for the drums. As far as the mix.. that is the product of a person (me...lol) who isn't very proficient with DAWs. I dabbled just enough to get it loaded up here for my fellows' perusal. The "real" mix will be in the hands of a pro. I'll definitely keep you posted.

Man, you are just so damn good. Seriously, Wayne's reference to Lenny is pretty spot on, although I think your voice has a little more of a "buttery" tone to it. No matter, the only thing I wanted was about another 3 or 4 minutes to listen to. Super job Mykael, you really are the king of RnB on Looperman. I hope all is well.

I think you captured the feeling very well ... you added fantastically emotional vocals to the music ... but if you don't mind (even if you don't want to be an engineer), one or two things: the mixing could have been a little bit louder, both for the music and the vocals ... and maybe a little less reverb would be better .. . but this is just my opinion ... :-)

Hello There, Danke!!! Yes, I agree with the volume, but apparently I'm so dumb I can't figure out how to do it without the clipping happening...LOL. However, reducing the reverb is definitely within my skill set.. :)

LOL....thanks so much Ed! My heat is on the independent Musician side of things, not much interested in the "big leagues." After suffering multiple family losses, and the Government's reaction to covid for two years, we are finally back to completing my album. Fingers crossed!

Sorry to hear about you being hacked it seems GREATNESS! always attracts such types of people. If I had a youtube account I would absolutely subscribe/support your channel in a heartbeat, Iv never felt any desire to create a channel of my own (Who knows maybe one day) but for now I only upload here on LM because I love to write/sing when I get time to, it's a good platform to post my work.

I'm all about supporting my fellow musicians but I'm also careful because people have found ways to steal my vocals without asking my permission so I'm not much for social media.

I did however watch the video and I have to say what a brilliant!! and reflective mood it carries not to mention how beautifully the video has been shot. It absolutely captures the whole vibe of the song perfectly. I'm seriously so impressed with it all and thank you enormously for leaving the link, OUTSTANDING! work indeed. Bravo! :)

Hello Beautiful! Thank for stopping by over there! I'm happy to know you enjoyed the video! Yeah, Social Media can be a blessing and a curse. Unfortunately, for Indie Artist (who don't have a machine of pro folks supporting them) it's a necessary evil. It is very key to growing a fanbase coupled with an artist website. I am lazy when it comes to the business side of music, and it IS a business. So I literally have to force myself to get everything done that needs to be.

The distributor I use (CDbaby) is full service, so they handle a lot of the matters that deal with securing mechanical licenses, collecting specific publishing royalties, sync licensing, etc. So those things are off my shoulders but there is still a lot more that has to be done. They host an annual 3 day Indie DIY Conference every year. A lot of Industry experts, as well as Indie Artists from all over the world attend. It's networking on steroids, with keynote addresses, and break-out sessions, and live shows. It's a worldwide community of artists with a common goal. It's inspiring. I have had a blast every time I attend one of them, in addition to the wealth of knowledge gained.

This year it's in Austin, Texas. Unfortunately, I can't attend due to a gig happening around the same tine. Anyways, I am yakking too much! If you want to know more about the Conference please shoot me a message. Thanks sooooo much again!

A couple years back I got hacked over there, and lost just about all my comments and likes, so being extremely disheartened I turned my focus to my website and pretty much abandoned YouTube.
