I like this collab with Stephanie...the guitar is really speaking to me...very thick and deep, fills out the headphones really nice..and her voice is like water flowing over pebbles in a stream...it all blends so well:) great job.

Hi Santiagosky

Stephanie is a very talented lady and the acapella was fantastic to work with. I'm so pleased you liked the result. It is very rewarding to hear your comments regarding my guitar "speaking to you". It's so good to know the emotion that flows through my hands reaches out. Thank you so much for your comments.

So when will you guys be releasing this album?

You've got some great collabs going on and this is smooth and jazzy. That Wah-Wah works amazingly well.

The track is well orchestrated and arranged and the vocal performance is up there as well.

Props to both of you!

Hi Mahloo

An album of songs with Patricia Edwards would be good. We almost have enough songs too! She is such an immense talent. Glad you liked this track and thanks for stopping by to comment. Much appreciated.

As usual, you've taken great care of precious vocals and smoothed them out into a nice piece of very valuable jewelry, haha. It sounds so simple, but I know you probably spent countless hours making it just right, hours well spent.

As always, great job Richie!!! Don't stop...cuz I like it :-)

Hey Patricia

Thank you for your kind words - it is always great to hear your comments. Love the analogy of "smoothed them out . . . " as it is so much about what I try to do. Polished perfection is always the goal.

It's quite strange the way this track developed. As time went on I just realised the simple bass line worked well despite a million attempts at making it more complex. Everything else just fell around it. Yup, hours and hours and hours. Enjoyed every minute of it too.

Glad you liked it.

Great vocals and just the right amount of music to accompany it. It can be so tempting to keep adding instruments but this is just perfect. I also love the percussion, are those bongos?

Nice one Richie, cool lead as well!

Hi Wayne

Thanks for stopping by and listening. Your comments are very much appreciated - thank you. It's some congas you can hear but I hope far enough back in the mix not to overpower anything. I understand what you mean about "the right amount of music" and you are so right, it can be very tempting just to keep adding instrumentation. You have to know when to stop I think and leave a bit of space for it all to breathe. Glad you liked the solo too - I just can't resist an opportunity to include one in a song!!

Thanks again.

Re ....

Wow .... FANTASTIC.

An arrangement of a high accuracy. You have made ??a "showcase" for this musical female voice.
I will not go into detail "techniques" that you mentioned here, but I imagine your sweat on the forehead.
Know that all is of great quality, and you have nothing to envy, at the "Productions" that we hear all day long, on various radio waves.
Yes! A very good collaboration for me. Respect!
You always surprised me. Sincerely.

I like you Richie. You have that natural ability to take a sound or a vocal and pull a whole track out of it with style and finesse.
Everything is on point, well played and i see this being on target for reviews and downloads a plenty.
Hats off to you!

Hi FR

I am truly grateful for the compliments you pay me - thank you. So rewarding to have comments and observations like this.

Stephanie is a real talent and I enjoyed this collaboration. Hope she does too!! Being "on point" is a brilliant insight into what I try to achieve with my songs. Style and finesse? That knocks me out. I suppose I aspire to polished perfection (hell, does that sound pompous? hope not).

Thanks again.

Whoa...a(contemporary)pop song that I actually dig!.....Well of course there's a logical explanation apart from being a Richie Winn composition(collaboration)....Stephanie's vocals are excellent with a very articulated(and young)delivery(lets face it pop stars are young! haha),the subtle use of autotune gives them a modern cast and crystal like quality....unlike most production houses that manufacture 'popular' music or should I say cook it to that perceived recipe, this song displays a tactile progression incorporating nuance and feel, not just a conveyor belt of facile choruses interspersed with a few repetitive synthesised attempts at musicianship......to me this is real 'pop' music and as the name implies should have broad appeal..if Sony ever got hold of it the first thing to go would be the guitar solo..bastards! lol....great collab guys!!............cheers Dave

Hi Dave

Super comments and so eloquently written - thank you. I think my love of pop music comes from a long history of playing in covers bands. You learn so much over the years. I hope some of it is evident in my efforts here on LM.

Stephanie is a great talent and I enjoyed this collaboration very much. I only hope she likes it!!! Oh, and the solo stays even if Sony or anyone else want to sign me up!!

Cheers

Man, I have to agree with Ed, "holy s**t Richie" this is awesome!!!! I think what this tune illustrates is your incredible knowledge and talent. I'm pretty sure Stephanie never figured her vocals would fit into a blues progression, but man did they ever fit. WOW!!! The instrumentation is soooo good! This song is as good as anything on the radio today.

I'll shut up now and hit the play button again. Oh, thanks so much for the download. And a tip of the hat to Stephanie for her great vocal work.

holy s**t Richie.....where can I buy the CD...freakin great job on the music and the vocal is waaaaaay better that the stuff my radio`s been playing...really admire the way you have kept the instrumentstion so uncluttered...clean & clear...infectuous beat & bass...if I was scoring something this would get all the points...I aspire to doing somethingthis good some day....Ed

Hey Richie, not sure how I missed this one. This is another great collaboration between you and a great singer. Derek has a fantastic voice and your treatment of his vocals is outstanding. Your musicianship is just jaw dropping, especially your guitar work.

Another hit my friend, but that is to be expected when coming to visit your part of the world. If I had ten thumbs, I would have all of them pointing up on this one :)

Bravo.

Always good to hear from you and thanks for the great comments. Yes, Derek is exceptional and it is a pleasure working with such good vocals. As you can see from his comments below he found it quite a revelation listening to "real" guitar on one of his tracks. Ah these young kids eh?

Thanks for the thumbs up (all ten of them).

on Do you remember - featuring NateMonoxide by RichieWinn
Boy, I hear so many musical influences in this track from a few different decades. Nat's vocals are great and really open the door for such a track. Nice mix and quite a catchy tune. My only suggestion is a little more pop in the drum track. I think I will dl this one cuz it's just that good! Thanks. I'll check out some more of your material, impressed!

Yes there are many decades I can choose from for influence!! Not sure I understand what "a little more pop on the drums" means but I'll have another listen today and see what I can hear. All these decades of listening must be taking it's toll!! Thanks again.

Richie, you consistently produce some of the best music on Looperman. Your ability to take a raw vocal and turn it into a hit is nothing short of amazing.

Now on my third listen..

It goes without saying, this is fantastic. Love your interpretation of the vocals. There's something so laid back about this that I could listen to it all day, really puts me in the mood for summer..

Honestly? Not so keen on the guitar solo personally,.. But a minor detail in the grand scheme of things..

Really, excellent job. Thanks for the Download :P

Glad you liked the feel of this and thanks for your comments. You're the only one who has picked up on the solo and I have to admit I was never that happy with it from the start. The patch is terrible!! I wanted something that cut right across the whole thing and I think I have achieved that in a bad way! When time permits I'll get back to it and try again.

November 19th and I didn't even comment! Shame on me!

The vocals after the first hook were a bit low, had to listen hard, but the "other vocal samples thrown in", that was a fabulous idea! Your ability to make muzical life mellow is alright with me :-)! And it's ok to push the envelope, just right!
