Like others, I liked the intro sample as well, very Beatlesque. I like the thick guitars, nice layering. I think with a little less limiting/compression on the master it may separate the instruments a little more in the mix, things may stand out more. There is an artifact as the song starts, no biggie but it's noticeable. Pretty groovy tune, brings me back a few years. Well done TV!
Thanks Wayne and I am with you on tweaking the master a bit. I would love to get more separation. I had to look up what an artifact means in regards to recording music. I am still new to a lot of this recording stuff. I will be going in and cleaning up some rough spots and fine tuning the mix a bit.
Thanks kindly for taking the time to give it a listen and for the feedback.
Awesome intro. Very airy and dreamy. The tone on that guitar is sick. Feels a little bit off sync at a few parts but I'm guessing that's because you played the instruments live haha. The drums seem to be lacking a bit in punch but wow this is an awesome groove. You must had a ton of fun recording this lol. This song makes me want to pick up my electric guitar and perfect recording tone haha. Great job!
Thanks ER. I am quite obsessive when it comes to guitar tone. I am always trying to get it just right. It does have some rough spots that need to be redone. Most of the guitar and bass parts were done in one take so things are a little off in spots. Drums are always my weak spot. I need to spend a ton of time working on their tone and then save it as a template so I have good drums. Appreciate you listening and leaving some feedback.
Hey
Really liked this song. I was first drawn to it because of its very cool name hahah and I think its first seconds are very unique and put you in the right mood for the song. Lately, I've been becoming a fan of electric guitars a lot more than I was in the past, and I really liked the guitar in here. Pleasant listen ;) I agree with Danke that the ending was somewhat abrupt, though, but, as a whole, I liked this a lot
Thanks for taking the time to give it a listen and leave some feedback. It is appreciated.
I obviously love guitars myself. I am a bit obsessive over tones sometimes. I am going to clean this up a bit and maybe rework the ending.
We missed these special TV tones...this is so groovy as your others...guitars are cool and the drums are good partner in that retro, dirty, vintage sound...if I were you I made the end a bit better...longer run out for the track...was a side note only...
Thanks...Tone is something I always strive to obtain.
I agree the ending needs to be reworked with either a long fade or a new ending.
Thanks for the kind words my friend.
Awesome job bro. That's how you shred the track.
Parts had some glimpses of SRV, one of my favs.
Keep it up man. Life seems to get in the way of a lot of things but you always have to resort back to what makes YOU happy in order to stay sane. I know.
Keep up the pleasurable work and
Hope to hear more soon!
Got some nice distortion tones here! You seem to be doing more with the guitar as well. The leads seem to be more lead-ish.
Parts remind me of RATM, like the rhythm track that stands alone at 1:15.
Nice run at 2:35, but you lose steam and it kind of Jengas on you. I know the feeling. That shit is hard to do for more that 6 or 8 runs before it falls apart. Still sounds good.
I do dig it, and you should make a little more Looperman time. The more guitarist that are here, the happier this place is.
Thanks, part of my problem is I will spend lots of time working on tone. It can get tedious but I love getting Great Tone.
This track seemed to open itself up to me for a more leadish lead, if that makes sense. :)
I always take any mention of sounding like RATM as a big compliment so thanks for that.
I wanted an awkward end to the run at 2:35 but didn't exactly nail it. :)
As for making more time for The Loop, already am working on it. Have to shuffle some stuff around but will do my best.
Thanks for giving it a listen and for leaving some feedback. It always helps and is appreciated.
Well, it looks like I arrived to the party just a little behind everyone else. Either way, I'm glad I found it!
I'm not exactly a Zeppelin fan. More of a Pink Floyd guy, myself. I am however a pretty big fan of the John Paul Jones and John Bonham rhythm section of Led Zeppelin. Bonham had such a loose, almost sloppy, but impeccable style, and Jones knew how to fill in the spaces to keep it pulled together. I've always felt like Page and Plant were doing their own thing in the band, while the Johns were busy being awesome. You've definitely channeled their rhythm on this track. The guitars aren't very Jimmy Page....but to me, that's a good thing. Honestly, what it sounds like to me is, The Johns on Drums and bass, early Gilmour on rhythm, and Billy Gibbons on lead. Damn...that would have been a sweet supergroup.
Generally, I agree with most of Statics reviews. Not this time. I don't think it's too long at all. This track is total jam band song, and that's what jam bands do. Jam. For long periods of time. When you find yourself grooving to good music, you don't want it to stop just about the time you're in full swing. For example...this song by Earthless. (link below) 21 minutes long and not once is it boring. I'd say you did a pretty good job of carrying this one for almost 7 minutes!
A few months ago I did a nod to Pink Floyd, (Red On The White) so I can totally relate to where you're coming from with wanting to do this track. I think you did a better job at just doing your own style based on their influence. Mine was a little more emulative, and I fear that it sounds like a ripoff. But, that's no matter, we're not talking about my track.
I like this one, and I added it to my fav file. Excellent work, as always. Here's the link to Earthelss- "Lost In The Cold Sun" I hope you like it.
I appreciate you taking the time to not only listen but to also leave a comment with such valuable feedback. I also appreciate the link to that awesome song. Really dug it and it fits with my take on music.
you should try turn abit up on the drums then make parts for your first vers then corus or corus first then vers the corus should at least be 30secs then a min or a min and half for vers..
I have concluded I CANNOT!! sing, even with all of todays wonderful software... :D so spoken word is good enough for me where my tracks require vocals. Have you checked out MtPowerdrum, free here on Looperman software section. I like them as much as Addictive Drums (use them both) I'll have to check out Iris :D Always love new toys :p Finally got an audio interface, You were right, plugging into mic/line in is a PITA!!! Very cool, be watching for the finished product with vocals :D
I hear ya bro. Never realized how hard singing is. I downloaded that drum program but have not used it yet. Glad the Audio interface is working out for you. I love mine.
Still trying to work on the vocals I have recorded might have to post it up as is. Not sure I can improve them anymore.
TV,
Fav'd. Enjoyed immensely. Sounds like raw early 70's when guitar effects really started improving. Psychedelic? Somewhat. Grooving gets a 10/10 though. Respect man.
Mark.
Wow man...NICE JOB! This track is HUGE with a wall of sound that fills the room up. I felt as if Godzilla was coming into town and blowin up the joint! Like you said, kind of like a psychedelic feel but with a massive giant sound like the way Alice in Chains used to do it. Great job on guitar and all. I love it!
Surely, psychedelic from the 70's, 80's...very dirty with tones of rhythm on it and yes central thinks well that you are looking for a whiskey like voice!
Hope you'll find him (her?) :-)
Thanks my friend...yeah I need Mr. Mojo Risin. The Crawling King Snake himself. Not very Doors like but I agree. A whiskey voice would do this just fine. Thanks for leaving some feedback and listening.
Thanks man...this is one of my faves as well. I think it is in Drop C tuning. I went through a phase with that for a while when I was heavy into Queens of the Stone age.
Appreciate you taking the time to listen and comment.
nice one. the sound you get from the guitars is really fine and stylish. some nice a bit of solo here and there... overall it sounds like a very powerful backing track. very nice work. alex
Thanks Alex, I appreciate you listening and being kind enough to leave some feedback.
I tend to spend a lot of time working on tone, probably too much at times, but it tends to drive me creatively.
Hey bro, always nice to hear your opinion and get some feedback. Yeah it needs some chord changes and maybe a change of tempo towards the halfway mark. Unfortunately this is one of the tracks I lost in my PC crash. I wish I had at least been able to access the effect settings on the guitars because I spent a lot of time working on guitar tone on this one. I need to be less lazy and save the tone settings as a custom tone. I just tend to want to just let the juices flow. I will be saving my settings from here on out though.
I appreciate you taking the time to give it a listen.
Very good track MrTopVega!
Liked a lot the guitar here: killer sound for the lead guitar.
Drums are good as well.
I find the end a bit "incomplete".
Overall: Great Song!

H TV...just stopped back for another listen & let you know that if you are looking for a decent FREE B3 organ type VST check out one called ORGANized Trio...its not as good as the Native Instrument expensive version but for a free one its pretty dam good...gets lots of good words on the blogs...besides I just enjoyed some good ol blues-rock again....keep on...Ed
Thanks Ed. Sorry I just got to this. Being a UPS Driver means a hectic 6-8 weeks during Thanksgiving to New Years. Appreciate the info, will check it out. Also appreciate you listening.

Gotta say, the guitar tone you got here is pretty sweet.
Seemed like it needs some chord changes in the 2-4 minute range. You stay on the same kind of thing for a while. I do like what you're doing though.
