Wow how did I miss this jam? Straight ahead classic Rock & Roll, luv it! Great job in putting together this tune. From one bassist to another that was a really nice groove and great guitar work as well as killer drums. A solid production all around, a instant fav for sure.
I guess the same way I missed your very kind comment on this. Lol. Thanks for all the kind words. I have been feeling more confident Bass wise. Always have been a Guitarist. Just wish I could get the singing thing down.
Dang, the guitar is so crunchy!! I love it. Just a fun track to jam to. You need to get Pete or some other rockin' voice to sing on this gem. Agreed with danke, 4:07 is a little off-time, but an easy fix :) GREAT job with this one!
Thanks, Brado. I would love to get an actual Vocalist to sing on my track(s). I have been trying to get better myself and I have made some progress but I will never be known for my singing. :)
Oddly the drums are off at 4:07on the render but not on the Master. I am going to render it again and see if it is fixed. Thanks for the kind words of support.
This a sweet one for sure! You must have worked with quite a few real drummers to get this sort of vibe from AD! They sound extremely believable, which is something I don't hear often with those sorts of drum software! Your guitars are always jammin, and this one seems especially rockin! The asshat reference gives me thoughts to a piece of visual art I've been slowly forming, and I thank you for reminding me of the importance of finishing that before the feeling is gone... though I pray (something I don't do normally) for the feeling to be gone. Had to listen to this one again right away, and I see that it's up for download... so here I go. Fave!
I tend to use the better MIDI drum patterns over and over and try and work on the tone to add variations. Thanks though because I feel the same away about these. They sound pretty realistic. I hope you get that visual art done. After November we will no longer have an Orange AssHat to deal with. Appreciate the Fave, download, listen and comment.
What a pleasure to find a new song of MrVega!
As usual... your work sound always like a real band.
I am not sure how you manage this, but your sound has always that live feeling that make your tracks so interesting.
For sure vocals would be the icing on the cake here!
Ciao, Domenico
PS: I had to google to find the meaning of "asshat" ... interesting... one day you should clarify why it has to be an "orange" one :-)
Thanks, Domenico, I appreciate the very kind words of support. It has been awhile since I have uploaded anything new. I have quite a few tracks in various stages and I need to focus more. I think the live feel comes from the fact that I don't copy and cut riffs. I kind of like to play from a more progressive style. Kind of off the cuff. I will be adding a lead and then trying to work out some vocals. I have been practicing my singing and it's never going to be great but I think it can be passable. Thanks again for the listen and comment.
Thanks my friend. Yeah, I hear it at 4:07. The weird thing is I listened to the Master and it is not there. Must have happened during rendering. I will render it again and see if it is fixed.
You oviously did somthing right on this track to have more downloads then comments, and I'm not about to be the first dummy to say anything negative about it.Like the guitar work and the drums. Good blend on the guitar lines, and mix. will be back.PEACE. THE MACK MAN OUT.
Thank you kindly. I was most happy with my bass work on this track. I have played guitar since the 80's. Bass is new to me.
Thanks again for the listen and feedback.
Hey Tv great tune, I enjoyed your straight ahead Rock n' Roll approach to the track. And a nice steady groove to match; the only the thing you didn't do for a track this long (besides the guitar riff changes), is that you didn't incorporate in changes in the song or breaks to break up the monotony of the main groove / hook. But other than that I thought the tune was "Rock Solid".
Cool track, reminded me of early Ministry and INXS mixed together. I like the git work along side the keys, nice job so far with that. What EZ kit are you using?
I feel your vocals could be louder or more centered, they seem very wide to me in the mix. I actually decrease the width of my vocals to about 90%. This way they are centered and more narrow in my mix. By doing this it helps to keep it from messing with my featured instruments' freqs which I pan wide. Then I use a short delay and a bit of reverb to give me the additional width in the mix while keeping the vocals centered and narrow. Hopefully that makes some sense, he.
Yeah, I can hear the INXS thing. Was never a Ministry person but I will take your word on it. I will have to look and see what Kit I am using here. I took your advice and centered the vocals more and bumped them up in the mix. I went with a more Trippy delay on them to add to the Vibe. Still not sure if it works. Drums and Vocals are my weakest spots. I have worked hard to try and be able to do okay vocals. Never really happy with them, though. Thanks for the feedback. I truly appreciate it.
Hey this is sweet! Really remind me of a combination of fusion and blues jam bands around the eighties or nineties. I can totally get into that vibe, though I'm not a festival-goer. The vocals and guitar jams sound especially pristine, and I enjoy that. The bass is very groovy and deep! I'd say that the only thing that gets old is the EZ Drummer... it's really mostly personal preference though. People tend to get defensive when I talk to much about that sort of thing. Everything else including composition, performance, and lyrics is GREAT!
Hey my friend, thanks for the feedback. I agree with the EZ Drummer. Besides Vocals, it is my biggest weakness. I really need to spend some time working on getting a good drum sound. This was the result of needing to do something other than Rock. A pallet cleanser if you will. :)
Thanks for giving it a listen and for the feedback. Much appreciated.
(Ooops hit the send button by accident lol) Hey Topvega I made this track my fav because I can see the potential of this really being a great tune with some minor alterations. Plus I really enjoyed "The Liveliness" of the song. Great rhythm guitar playing and I liked the "panning of the guitar" on the track. The drum track gave the song a nice lively feel.
My only advice would be, 1. Come up with a solid hook, 2.write another verse in which you can alternate from and 3. Add at least one musical change to the song.(since this is a pop song it becomes a bit redundant without a change of some sort...just my opinion). Other than that I think you have a great tune on your hands.
Yeah I have had that happen before. :-)
I am working on another verse as well as a change or two to break up the monotony. Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate it.
Feels very real.
What I mean is that it doesn't smack you in the face with sounds that feel empty and cold but instead provides a familiar warmth.
It's rare for music to have that anymore.
Well done!
Great band to model a song after. The only album I have of them is their one with No One Knows on it and that is great from beginning to end.
This one comes out of the gate guns a blazin'! I love music like this, in your face rock and roll. This is great live bar room music. Mix sounds great!
Thanks Wayne. I have everything they and Josh Homme has ever released including the stuff with Kyuss and his latest with Iggy Pop. Awesome album by the way. It is like David Bowie sang on a Queens of the Stone Age album.
It's beyond me how such a splendid track can get only two
favs at almost 300 listens (well, now it's definitely getting the third)! Folks of Looperman, are you deaf or what??! This is a powerhouse of sheer rocking quality and those guitars sound so majestic ! The only thing which is bothering me is how could I have missed this gem before..:)
Thanks bro...those kind words mean a lot. I think this is probably my best and most complete track. Which is funny because all the lead guitar was done in One take and just kinda flowed from me at the time.
I appreciate the support. Thanks for the listen and the awesome comment.

I love the blues!! Addicted to playing it on my cigar box guitars now B-)
Yeah I also love to step back into just heavy Blues feel from time to time. It is like a soul cleansing at times.

The guitars sound great and they have a very modern British feel with the 8th note phrasing.
I like the mix - it gives it a raw edge lots of people love.
