This sounds cool. This could just be me but it sounds like something that could perhaps be used in an arcade dungeon main menu.

Hey Michael
I think I must be close to needing to not use my modular synths for a bit - I'm having too much fun changing everything I play into something else - but I feel it's getting a bit the same (even when Im happy with the sound)

Thanks for the warm and funny affirmation and for listening

oh wow, this is different, very unique, i love the sound of this, it's something we don't usually hear on LM. Brilliant percussions. What a complete wonderment listening to this, I truly like this glad I stopped by. Kudos!

Cool, relaxing atmosphere, a bit, jazzy, a bit psychedelic, a bit middle eastern. The bird chirped out of key at 1:38 though, lol. Where is Ravi Shankar when you need him, a little sitar here and there would be a cool touch.

Nice one man!

Hey Michael - I like the percussive elements that I ended up with in this one - what sounds kind of like cymbals is a free vst clouddrum and an Indian one stringed instrument the Ektara which someone has sampled (free from descent sampler) both playing the same few notes together and then run through the (free) OTT compressor. There is also a vst french horn and a vital synth preset adding texture. Got the modular synths clicking and popping too before finding the sax samples and recording the bird. And then I blended 28% of everything back into the mix at half speed which is an interesting alternative to delay. Not that you asked but thought you might be interested : )

This is taking creativity to another level indeed, very interesting listen here & anything with a smoothhhhh!!! sax, I'm hear for it...what a wonderful idea/creation, this is something new & fresh! on LM & I like it. I wake up in the morning to sweet bird songs outside my window and I love listening to it, natures call :)...If I was a bird watcher I'd know what kind of bird it is just by the sound...In any case enjoyed this little ditty well done!

Thanks for listening and the warm feedback - I didnt see the birds yesterday but Im pretty sure that birdsong is from the blackbirds (which Im thinking means I could have got a cleaner sample than going into the backyard with my microphone and laptop - Oh well). There are usually many birds in the yard and the sun has finally come out after weeks of flooding rain so the birds are singing there hearts out right now.

Paz y salud.

This, to me, has a space theme to it. It's sounds are spacious, lots of movement and wondrous sounding. Some ambient music sounds like water or a forrest or a walk thru a jungle but this one has that space feel to it.

Well done, worth a few listens!

pseudoble replied 9th Mar 2022 - 3 years ago
Thanks Wayne - I know what you mean about the space theme but I called in night rain because we have had constant flooding rain here - the heaviest ever and I worked on it when I woke up in the middle of the night : )

very very cool Mate. I love experimental sounds. But this has a cool cohesion. To be honest. I could not come to an equivalent artist's work to compare. This is unique and captures many of the ambient's world styles, but you have put it together in a unique solitary sound that stands on its own. congrats on that. Fav`d, a really poignant work my friend capturing the true nature of Ambient.

I wish - the vox is from Looperman - AAP has a bank of vox's that you can use for non commercial purposes that he also has for sale here featuring various artists vocal performance of original songs - This one features "muz knock"

thanks for listening : ).

This is a cool idea, mix is fine. Vocal track is nice. A bit busy in spots but I like it. I agree a lot of what Ed said about guitar placement. Personally, I always play/record way more than what is necessary then edit out what doesn't work or what interferes with the singing.

Cheers!

Hey Wayne - playing too much is the only way I end up with anything to use but I often find it hard to edit it down once the more obvious errors are axed!

Appreciate the thoughtful listen and feedback

Looking forward to your next one
