You really have to appreciate music like this. It reminds me of some old school Shaft movie. Nice job with this Scott.....especially on the drums. Btw have you heard Soundhound's version of Supernatural-feat. Samantha Nova with the guitars? You should check it out.
Scott, this is an absolutely beautiful piece. I am searching for new intro tracks to feature on my show and would love to feature you tomorrow. blogtalkradio.com/back2us
Thank you for considering my track for your show. This would be an honor. I composed this track shortly after my eldest sister, Ginny, passed away, so it has a special meaning to me. If you choose to use it, please send details of the show. You can email me directly at: bladesplus@cox.net.
Hahhh...what a brilliant feelgood one from the 70th, 80th movies...those were the feelings and the days of 'we are the kings'...:-)
Those 'whakachuku' guitars are awesome...
Superb...
Danke
You have great a talent .... and also a good memory. At listening to this track, we're really immersed in the intrigue of espionage. Like in the good old days ....
BRILLIANT job capturing a very cool era in music! The Mission Impossible theme is probably my most favorite theme song from back in the day. This tune of yours gives me that same vibe. So, hats off to you, bro!
I like that funky guitar in my left ear. Some cool changes, lot's of space but lot's going on. Sounds like a '70's movie soundtrack, I like it! Sounds great in my headphones!
Thanks allot, Wayne. I'm glad you find the sound quality ok. I finished writing my description, but you pretty much nailed what was going on in my head. When I do these retro tracks, I also like to use that aggressive panning like they did back in the day.
WOW!!! What is there NOT to like about this track? The piano is gorgeous, I love the Spanish Guitar, percussion, and Oh my heavens those horns!...outstanding...no, it's all OUTSTANDING!! Thanks for sharing!
Time Of The Seasons has been a long time fav of mine Scott (watched them play it live a while back) so your wee doggie & I might get along well...a bit of a similar vibe here obviously even though its a much different track...great stuff...and kudos on the production on this one...you obviously put a lot of talent into that as well as the music....Ed
Hey this is a real fun track Scott .
Has a nice Spanish vibe to it and I especially like the varied transitions, the piano and those cool harmonized do-do's !
I really dig it man.
Yep...That's all it takes for my buddy. I've had allot of women in my life, but only my dogs have stuck with me in good and bad times. A wise man once said, if you really want to know who love you most, put your girlfriend or wife in your car trunk for 30 minutes. Than put your dog in the trunk for 30 minutes. Open the trunk and which one knocks the piss out of you and which one is happy to see you...But I digress!
Anyway, thanks for your kind words, Domenico. Glad you like it.
Hey Scott....I was playing in my first band in 63 while still in school...started on instrumental covers (Ventures, Shadow, Fireballs, etc)..did pretty much all of the early Beatles when they hit the air along with the other Brit groups.....I played some of the songs so many times I think I still could play along with most...but I don`t like going back as I`m having too much fun making my own noise....cheers..do some more & I`ll shoot a link to the 2 old bandmates I still am in touch with....Ed
That clears it up on the age. You have a few years on me. I think I was about 12 when I started playing, around '67 or '68. I'm really going back in time on the track I'm working on now. It's from the 30s. I played a show a few weeks ago and decided to do a track from it (42nd Street.)
I think you have at least a decade of music in here Scott...I played covers of Day Tripper and tunes by every group you mentioned here so that will tell you something about my age..haha...on the other had you know I enjoyed this one big time....great job....Ed
Thanks for checking me out and commenting. Glad you enjoyed it.
A bit confused, though about your age. Did you know of these groups, or did you have to check them out cause you didn't? I know you'd heard of the Beatles, but had you heard 'Day Tripper?' Just wondering. I learned much of my craft from them, among others.
Amazing.
I returned to my tender youth "Beatles mania" .... the illusion is perfect .... but, the wha-wha pedal was still in its infancy ....
You have created here a good track, very pleasant to listen to .... Bravo!
Thanks allot, Dan. Glad you like it. Yeah, the wah wah pedal hit about the mid 60s I believe. I ran across an mp3 of a commercial of the pedal awhile back. It's pretty retro like me!
innovative & well designed . Scott , your wonderfull tallents & skills are obvious and it's interesting that
someone who is an expert drum player , has such a wonderfull
sight about usage of the other instruments .best wishes.___B
WOW really wonderful - very clever! You basically use all the tricks of the genre and I mean that in a good way. There are about 6 tracks here that could be remixed in a variety of ways. Interesting throughout. I agree that it could be a movie sound track. Great work - this must have been fun.

Hey, thanks allot, Clindsay! I've actually been listening to this style a bit more so I can get a better handle on it. I've always checked out the better know drummers of the time but not much else. I'm kinda digging it, believe it or not!
Thanks allot. You may use it if you don't alter it in any way (other than shortening it) and if you give credit to me, Scott Burkholder. Please give link or send the vlog to me through my contact form here.
