Heck yeah! That beginning 50 sec had me listening like a deer caught in the headlights beam. Cool how the track evolves into the next stage. Great drums especially at that break at 2:34. The guitar after that talking some nice expressions. The brasses used worked well in this track. Here at 3:35 bringing back that great sound was a very nice thought. Very nice overall, my favorite parts about this one is the 1st 50 sec and at 3:35 til finished. That is the reason I keep listening. Thanks for sharing Scott, I like this style of jazz mix from you most. Be cool! Peace.
You have the gift for your concepts, are a great musical truth ....
Again I am impressed by your achievement.
There is only you know how to do that.
In short, it's great and very authentic ....
Gotta love that guitar sound in the beginning, the track itself is pretty cool though I am not really a jazz fan I still liked what I heard here. Offers a interesting combination of sounds.
I'm glad you can appreciate music outside your preferred genre. I have found that jazz will challenge me more than other styles, which is why it's one of my favorite styles.
Thanks so much. Glad you're finding my stuff interesting. I've just started checking out some really, really old jazz and have been putting my own spin on some. The crackling is always there on the old 78 records, so gave it a little authenticity. Since you like this, check out 'Django's Revenge.' It was my first in the really old style.
Be Cool, is so cool....the mesh of different styles gel together so well. It shows the producer thoughtout the process before in this cleverly crafted Jazz offering to our Looper Family, I myself found it refreshing, and it's uniqueness very appealing!
Very cool intro, love the vocal track and that funky jazz bass. Horns are so expressive, been trying them out a little more lately. Very professional sounding mix, well done! Fun track, upbeat and great to listen to on a hot day at the beach!
This is great once it gets going, The intro was nice but when the beat kicks in it yeally gets you up and moving.
It's very contemporary and i like the way it comes in little bursts of various instruments.
The vocal is great. Is that from this site?
The Bass is insane, the guitar is funky and i even noticed a little bit of acid synth going on from time to time, the sax is superb and the whole arrangement is just superb.
A very specific adaptation to your "trademark" .... you always explore with great talent the music of another era. Again I am surprised by the audio quality of your realisation .... I am with you in the recording studio. This is really great .... Chapeau bas.
Bonjour, Dan. Yes, I do love the music of an earlier era and it pretty much shows up in most of my creations. Since I can't find much new stuff to listen to anymore, my creations give it too me.
well let me be the first to commenT & moves his feeT ...
the way U've orchestrate Bass & chorus & drum is amazing , this vocalisT (who is she ?)sings so good & that altration happens nicely & well around 2:46....another nice tune of yours which i enjoyed.___B
Oh is there a group called Funkedelics? ha ha... Need to start listening to them soon as well ha ha..
But anyways, I enjoyed your track still. I had no reference to any songs before, so enjoyed from the beginning.
Absolutely...They were quite well known in the 70s and continued a bit in the 80s. They were very heavy funk. Here's some info if interested: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Funkadelic

Maaaan.... This hits the nail on the head 4 me...Crazy Good...
I've listened to just about all of your tracks, you've got a bunch that don't have
Guitar that fall right in my wheelhouse...I didn't comment because I was
just cruising your page...
Be fun to see what could be done, if that's OK with you..?
Your timing is spot on and dynamic senseabilities are off the chart, creativity
is historically connected by roots, making your Music ready for tomorrow...
I can tell you run by feel, keeping it real...
I'm hoping that Danjoy4 track will not be our last....
Thanks for checking out my track and hitting me up with your kind words. Do you see what I was talking about having trouble with the 'KISS' process, but looks like you are ok with it.
Sure, if you want to mess around with some of my tracks feel free. I actually work with two guitarist, Midiman and Ferryterry (Franco) but maybe we can so something one day. How is your keyboard skills? I think your style of soul, jazz, and funk are very close to what I'm doing now. Franco leans more Latin and jazz, and James (midiman) more rock which I also love if the rock is not too heavy. Midiman700's page has some tracks I played on.
This really is funky, Interesting beat pattern and time signature.
The soloing and blending of instruments is superb and the melodies, breakdowns and lyrics are all cool as well.
It sounds like an old 8 track recording which gives it a kind of retro feeling,
Very good.

I appreciate you checking out my track and leaving your comment.
My drums are a bit more intense than most, since I'm a drummer, but the time signature is actually 4/4. The drums make it sound different since the snare is not on 2 and 4. Most of my stuff usually turns out retro sounding since much of my influence was the retro groups, which kinda dates me!
Hey Scott...now this is different in the best of ways...I thought I heard Carlos Santana step in there with a few tasty guitar licks once in a while...great stuff....way to spread the cheer.......Ed
Hey Ed, Thanks allot, my friend. When I found this pella I knew it would lend itself to some of my funk/jazz style. Yeah, it does sound a bit like Carlos, now that you mention it.
Wow! With this bass line how can I not love this track? :-)
Superb drums.
Perfect guitar: not too "present". Works perfectly in this song.
Groovy organ solo.
Good brasses.
Liked the trumpet parts.
I liked a lot of things in this one :-)
Very well done!
Ciao, Domenico
Thanks, Domenico. I found this pella the other day and laughed my ass off, so got to work on putting it together. I like the part where he says he never visits porno sites, but maybe when his girlfriend's away. Did you recognize Jeff Spicoli from the movie 'Ridgemont High.'

My fav part is 2:35 to 3:11. After the cool heavy drum beat, it sounds like it goes into a 70's TV cop drama theme. Excellent.
If you're into 70s TV drama styles, check out 'Spies Like Us' on my page. It was created just for that genre.

I'm going through my old tracks and noticing I'm finding alot of comments I haven't replied to. My apologies for this quite long delay, my friend.
Anyway, along with my apology, I give thanks for all your kind words, now and in the past. You're a true pro!
