Oh is there a group called Funkedelics? ha ha... Need to start listening to them soon as well ha ha..
But anyways, I enjoyed your track still. I had no reference to any songs before, so enjoyed from the beginning.
Absolutely...They were quite well known in the 70s and continued a bit in the 80s. They were very heavy funk. Here's some info if interested: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Funkadelic
Scott...
Maaaan.... This hits the nail on the head 4 me...Crazy Good...
I've listened to just about all of your tracks, you've got a bunch that don't have
Guitar that fall right in my wheelhouse...I didn't comment because I was
just cruising your page...
Be fun to see what could be done, if that's OK with you..?
Your timing is spot on and dynamic senseabilities are off the chart, creativity
is historically connected by roots, making your Music ready for tomorrow...
I can tell you run by feel, keeping it real...
I'm hoping that Danjoy4 track will not be our last....
Thanks for checking out my track and hitting me up with your kind words. Do you see what I was talking about having trouble with the 'KISS' process, but looks like you are ok with it.
Sure, if you want to mess around with some of my tracks feel free. I actually work with two guitarist, Midiman and Ferryterry (Franco) but maybe we can so something one day. How is your keyboard skills? I think your style of soul, jazz, and funk are very close to what I'm doing now. Franco leans more Latin and jazz, and James (midiman) more rock which I also love if the rock is not too heavy. Midiman700's page has some tracks I played on.
This really is funky, Interesting beat pattern and time signature.
The soloing and blending of instruments is superb and the melodies, breakdowns and lyrics are all cool as well.
It sounds like an old 8 track recording which gives it a kind of retro feeling,
Very good.

I appreciate you checking out my track and leaving your comment.
My drums are a bit more intense than most, since I'm a drummer, but the time signature is actually 4/4. The drums make it sound different since the snare is not on 2 and 4. Most of my stuff usually turns out retro sounding since much of my influence was the retro groups, which kinda dates me!
Hey Scott...now this is different in the best of ways...I thought I heard Carlos Santana step in there with a few tasty guitar licks once in a while...great stuff....way to spread the cheer.......Ed
Hey Ed, Thanks allot, my friend. When I found this pella I knew it would lend itself to some of my funk/jazz style. Yeah, it does sound a bit like Carlos, now that you mention it.
Wow! With this bass line how can I not love this track? :-)
Superb drums.
Perfect guitar: not too "present". Works perfectly in this song.
Groovy organ solo.
Good brasses.
Liked the trumpet parts.
I liked a lot of things in this one :-)
Very well done!
Ciao, Domenico
Thanks, Domenico. I found this pella the other day and laughed my ass off, so got to work on putting it together. I like the part where he says he never visits porno sites, but maybe when his girlfriend's away. Did you recognize Jeff Spicoli from the movie 'Ridgemont High.'
You really have to appreciate music like this. It reminds me of some old school Shaft movie. Nice job with this Scott.....especially on the drums. Btw have you heard Soundhound's version of Supernatural-feat. Samantha Nova with the guitars? You should check it out.
Scott, this is an absolutely beautiful piece. I am searching for new intro tracks to feature on my show and would love to feature you tomorrow. blogtalkradio.com/back2us
Thank you for considering my track for your show. This would be an honor. I composed this track shortly after my eldest sister, Ginny, passed away, so it has a special meaning to me. If you choose to use it, please send details of the show. You can email me directly at: bladesplus@cox.net.
Hahhh...what a brilliant feelgood one from the 70th, 80th movies...those were the feelings and the days of 'we are the kings'...:-)
Those 'whakachuku' guitars are awesome...
Superb...
Danke
You have great a talent .... and also a good memory. At listening to this track, we're really immersed in the intrigue of espionage. Like in the good old days ....
BRILLIANT job capturing a very cool era in music! The Mission Impossible theme is probably my most favorite theme song from back in the day. This tune of yours gives me that same vibe. So, hats off to you, bro!
I like that funky guitar in my left ear. Some cool changes, lot's of space but lot's going on. Sounds like a '70's movie soundtrack, I like it! Sounds great in my headphones!
Thanks allot, Wayne. I'm glad you find the sound quality ok. I finished writing my description, but you pretty much nailed what was going on in my head. When I do these retro tracks, I also like to use that aggressive panning like they did back in the day.
WOW!!! What is there NOT to like about this track? The piano is gorgeous, I love the Spanish Guitar, percussion, and Oh my heavens those horns!...outstanding...no, it's all OUTSTANDING!! Thanks for sharing!
Time Of The Seasons has been a long time fav of mine Scott (watched them play it live a while back) so your wee doggie & I might get along well...a bit of a similar vibe here obviously even though its a much different track...great stuff...and kudos on the production on this one...you obviously put a lot of talent into that as well as the music....Ed
Hey this is a real fun track Scott .
Has a nice Spanish vibe to it and I especially like the varied transitions, the piano and those cool harmonized do-do's !
I really dig it man.
Yep...That's all it takes for my buddy. I've had allot of women in my life, but only my dogs have stuck with me in good and bad times. A wise man once said, if you really want to know who love you most, put your girlfriend or wife in your car trunk for 30 minutes. Than put your dog in the trunk for 30 minutes. Open the trunk and which one knocks the piss out of you and which one is happy to see you...But I digress!
Anyway, thanks for your kind words, Domenico. Glad you like it.

I'm surprised no one mentioned the 'dude' loop at the beginning and end. I thought everyone saw 'Fast Times at Rigemont High.'
